Recently stayed one night for business and nneded something close to the airport. Overall it was a typical HI Express experience .I have 2 major complaints...1) the heating unit ROARED off and on throughout the night , far too noisy of a unit . 2) getting into the hotel either by the front or side entrance was treacherous due to several day old snow and ice .Very poor attempt made to clear the walkways and parking lot !!A lawsuit waiting to happen.Lastly ,because I booked through Hotels.com they will not honour frequent flyer points through Aeroplan even though the online price was virtually the same as booking through a business travel agent.I will NOT STAY here again !

The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff was quite helpful and friendly. The kids enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and free daily breakfast served each morning. My only complaint is the fact there were no rollaway beds offered at this location. I phoned twice to make sure one would be available and was not informed that the Express hotel do not provide this. My 10 year old had to sleep on a crib mattress on the floor for 3 nights, which he found cold and uncomfortable. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable and we found Ottawa easy to get around. The staff was very helpful in providing maps, directions and useful tips.

The rooms are very modern, spacious, comfortable and clean!

Front desk was fast and professional, clean and bright rooms. Desk was functional but not overly comfortable.

The free shuttle bus service was second to none, they pick up and dropped off to airport, local pubs and restaurants at most times of the day. The staff were more than helpful with anything I needed. Rooms are very well nice for a 2.5 star (some Hilton's aren't as nice as this) . The only reason it's a 2.5 star I think is because they don't have a restaurant on site - but the Keg is a great steakhouse which they do provide a shuttle to.

Nice room. Quiet. Not near much but thats to be expected with an airport hotel. Good breakfast buffet. Kind of pricey.

Everything was fine about the hotel. If you have had a long flight you may not want to be bothered with the additional effort to travel into Ottawa. In that case you will find it convenient to stay here. Although there is no restaurant there is an English pub nearby (very short walk) that provides a good meal and beer.

I was attending my convocation at Carleton, this hotel was super close to school and I was happy that the breakfast was included. overall, it was a great experience :)

NICE AND CLEAN

There were no curtains in our room, only see-through shears, so we were not able to block out the light from the window at night. As our room faced the front of the hotel, the florescent lights from the front of the building, and the street lights shined into our room all night long. It was hard to fall asleep as it was very bright in our room and I had to catch a 6am flight. Very disappointed with the lack of curtains, I would think they should be standard in all the rooms.

I can always count on quality at the Holiday Inn - the only disappointment was that the pool water was cold, out right cold and not enjoyable to be in. Yummy breakfast buffet.

I should mention that the mattress on the bed was in need of replacement. We could feel the springs inside and the cover over the mattress had some kind of plastic composition on it. Too hot on the skin and uncomfortable! Spent two nights and woke up feeling unrested and sore.Glad to get home to our comfy bed. Breakfast wasn't too bad I guess for hotel food...but, both night stays were frustrating to get tea ,for no hot water. The owners have opted out on the extra's that you find at other "new" Holiday Inns.Some fruit or cookies would of been nice for an evening pick me up!! I would stay again but with hopes that the hotel looks into new beds.

I was here on a business trip for 4 nights and the hotel was perfectly located for my commute to the offices I was going to. There is a steakhouse down the road and food was amazing! The staff were THE most helpful and friendly people I have ever met. They provided a free shuttle service to airport, and local places to eat. I can't thank them enough!

It's just too bad the rates aren't lower more often. We would use it a lot more. The location is great for what we need, the rooms are the perfect size for what we need and the breakfast is good enough to get your day started. We would stay again and will if we get a good rate deal again. We find the hotels in Ottawa very expensive and most of them are poor for what you pay.

excellent staff, close to airport but tub did not drain when the shower was running. Other than that it was a very nice place to stay.

Just a caution. On the weekends, they don't start their shuttle to the hotel until 6:00AM. If your flight is early you still have to catch a cab. Also, on the weekends, the breakfast doesn't start until 7:00AM. Although they were very accommodating and offered us fruit and yogourt and bagels "to go" the night before.

Staff goes out of their way to make your stay very pleasant. I have stayed here a number of times when flying in and out of Ottawa and I have never been disappointed.

We were very impressed by the cleanliness of the room. Everything was imacculate and the bedding top rate. Staff was very friendly and very efficient. Breakfast was good and had nourishing alternatives to the traditional breakfast. We will certainly stay there again. Great value for money.

Very close to the airport and prompt shuttle service. Staff very helpful and courteous. Clean new comfortable room and a pretty good breakfast all for a very fair price. I will stay at this hotel again.

Great staff, helpful and friendly. Beautiful larger suites!!! Would stay again definately!!! Thanks to the wonderful front desk staff

A great place to stay. The staff were very helpful, polite and efficient. They offered to allow me to take my rental vehicle back to the airport which is only 5 minutes away from the hotel. They would come pick me up and then return me to the airport in the morning so I didn't have to deal with dropping off the vehicle before my flight. The room was emaculate and very modern. I was unable to enjoy their continental breakfast but I was very pleased with the time frame in which it was offered.
