It had everything I needed - great rate and will plan on using Knights Inn for my next visit

You get what you pay for! The Inn is in need of some up-keep and just some general cosmetic attention. But when I got up in the morning (after arriving very late) and went in to take a shower I noticed there was a dirty used face cloth hanging over the shower curtain rod. Then I put the bath rug down and noticed 2 dirty footprints on it. Not sure whether it was stained with those prints or just not changed from the previous occupants! Yuk! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone if your concerned about cleanliness!

It took us 5 minutes for our eyeballs to recover from the clashing furnishings. But then we realized that everything was brand new, clean and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and the new heating unit warmed the room in minutes. Stale donuts, fruit and coffee is the continental breakfast, so we used the room's new fridge and microwave to make oatmeal and tea. No clock, other than the one on the microwave, so if you need an alarm bring your own. Stayed for 3 nights and it was very quiet. Never heard a peep from other rooms or the road and it seemed very safe.

A fine deal for a short stay. Not a perfect motel, but I was very pleasantly surprised by the clean, modern and colorful rooms which were unexpected given the simple/old fashioned exterior of the building and lobby check in area. WiFi, microwave, fridge and TV all were useful. Felt like it was a safe quiet neighborhood with some useful corner stores and coffee shops if one wanted to ignore the hotel breakfast. Would stay again...

The owners were very pleasent, and the room was clean and recently updated. No breakfast, but a doughnut shop is across the street. Can't beat the price.

This is the kind of motel I like: one at which you can park your car by your door. The ugly bedspread and carpet were jarring, but did not really matter.

The continental breakfast could have been better. Since I can't drink coffee nothing else was available unless I paid more for it. For the price of the room, more choices should have been available to drink and eat not just apples and bananas, stale donuts, and coffee.Room was very clean. Bed was almost too soft but overall comfortable.

Rooms recently updated, the color scheme a bit garish, but not at all what we expected from a Knights Inn at this price. We would totally stay here again! Only disappointment was the 'continental breakfast' - donuts from the Dunkin Donuts across the street and coffee, nothing else.

Nice place to sleep for the night. Rooms are small so not ideal for little ones. But for the price it was just what I expected. Would stay again!!

The owners/attendants were unpleasant. I was given a hard time at check-in. They were also stingy with clean towels, refusing to give more than one extra towel (not even a whole set, just one singular towel). The room was more updated than I anticipated, but the bath tub had someone's hair in it and there were stains on the carpet and pillow case. I slept on top of the covers on my own personal blanket; however, the bed was actually pretty comfy.

2nd visit, as good as the 1st. Very good king size bed. Pls, invest in larger, thicker towels. Free WiFi needed too. Otherwise recommend as an economically, clean place to stay. Dunkin donuts very convenient across the street.

When I first arrived I thought to myself .. Grrrr WHY are we staying here.. But to my surprise DON'T judge a book by its cover.. It was a nice clean room.. I would definatly stay there again.. The staff was very friendly and the parking lot was very well lit up.

Very nice good location and felt very safe there.

Nice and clean Hotel

Not too bad

The staff was friendly. The room appeared to be clean, however, it had an odor of a smokers room. The room was listed and posted as a non-smoking room. Lot of traffic noise

When I arrived, I was worried about the hotel because of its outside appearance. It was dated and an older motel. However the room was wonderfully comfortable and very clean. It was conveniently located to Portland and Yarmouth where I attended a wedding and reception.

Given this is one of the cheapest places in the area my expectations were low. It is actually a quick drive to downtown but the neighborhood is an older commercial strip. As long as you have a car and don't expect much more that is fine. The hotel itself served it's purpose. Once you close the door the place is ok for what it is and was quiet. A fine enough place to sleep. Do be careful and avoid the smoking room unless you are a serious smoker. I reserved it because I needed 2 beds (it actually has 3) and figured how bad could it be, but when we checked in the woman was kind enough to warn us it smelled awful - so bad in fact she wouldn't even go into it. She swapped us for a king size bed which was big enough to share with my daughter and not be awkward. If you need a place to crash for a night it works. "Fine" accomodations? No. A safe reasonably-priced place to sleep? Yes.

It was fine for the price. Not a lot of room, but everything was clean. The towels were small and were never changed for the two days we stayed, but to be expected for the price. There was a microwave and minifridge in the room which was convenient as well. We would stay again.

These people were extremely rude from the first second we got there. They threatened us by saying they woul call the police if any one else entered our room. They called our room to have me come the office so that they could continually badger me for no reason. I travel a lot and this is the WORST experience I've ever had

This is literally the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. When I arrived they told me I was "lucky" because I got to stay in the new wing that they had just built with what she assured me to be a new mattress. Cleaning service never came in the 2 days I was there and it was impossible to get new towels. They only left shampoo packets which are hardly enough for anyone with long hair to wash with. The last day of our stay we received a call that woke us up at 11am, yelling "CHECK OUT TIME" into our ears. No good morning or anything. We asked for extended check out and they gave us until noon. That didn't stop the harassment though. They called every 10-20 minutes to make sure we were leaving. It slowed us down so much we eventually unplugged the phone. Then starting at 12 they started knocking on the door every 15 minutes. We had taken showers and were packing our stuff. I told them that we would be out soon. Eventually I'm bringing my stuff out to the car and he shows up again, this time with his small child (the enforcer?). He said you have to leave, I pointed to the bed and said I'm totally packed up, I'm just taking the stuff to my car now. He just stood in my way saying I had to leave and this was completely ridiculous for me to still be here. We told him if he didn't harass us we could have been out much earlier but with the constant calls it was out of control. He claimed no harassment and acted that he had given me the world when he said noon. I lost it and told him to take his kid and get out of here, I just have to put my stuff into the car. He left and then 2 minutes later was again knocking on the door to see if anyone was in there but we were already in the car. So we drove over to my friends room who was staying IN THE SAME HOTEL. I asked him, if he had been harassed at all and he said no. He even tried to call for a late checkout and they never picked up. I will never stay here again. These people have no clue how to run a hotel and seem self righteous in

Great People, Great Room, what more can I say?

The room was nothing special, but clean and adequate for the price. At check in, the desk clerk insisted on charging an extra $10.00 for the second person, despite the fact that the reciept showed the reservation was for one room, 2 adults. She also told us not to make any noise or the people next door would call police. This place is fine for an overnight, I wouldn't recommend it for an extended stay.

Easy to find & close to shopping. Nothing fancy however clean & the price was right! No free Internet.

For the rates we paid, we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of our room. Our only concern was that our room had a lot of street noise. There is a DD across the street, and "Simple Simon's" diner within walking distance of the hotel, serving breakfast and lunch. The hotel is about 4 miles from the Old Port area of Portland. One other concern: only one room key would be issued.

Being somewhat leery because of the low price compared to other accommodations, we were most pleasantly surprised! The room was immaculate and the bathroom spacious and very clean and bright. In the morning there was even coffee & tea, donuts, and fresh fruit. The owners were very pleasant and helpful with directions. We look forward to staying here again in the next few months.

I had called the hotel several times 24 hours prior to my stay and the day of my stay to confirm my reservation. No one answered the phone. I originally viewed that as a bad sign. I finally arrived after hours to find the front door locked and lights off. I knew the owner/proprietor/family/maid was in the room adjacent to the front desk so I kept ringing the doorbell until I woke up the owner/proprietor/family/maid. Sure enough, he was in there. It turned out that the phone wasn't working. He called the number himself and verified it. Other than that, the stay was reasonable. However, if you're in the business of being a hotelier and your business doesn't receive any phone calls at all for one day, I'd mark that as suspicious and start investigating.

This hotel is basic but serves it's purpose. The rooms are clean and the easy off easy on highway access is wonderful. The hotel is 5 minutes from the Maine Mall which provides for many different dining opportunities. There is a laundrymat attached to the hotel so if you need to do a quick load you are all set. I found the mattress to be a little soft but that is just a matter of taste. I would recommend this hotel to my family and friends.

The coffee was weak in the morning but that's not even much of a complaint! I was very impressed with how clean everything was. Watch out for open windows though, I didn't discover it until the morning and it explained the loud noise of traffic!

Lowest price in the area near airport with decent reviews. Acceptable for the price and convenience, had a 4am wake up call which was right on time.

The hotel was very clean, and easy to find. It was close to shopping (important, since we were on a shopping trip!). We were thrilled to find a room with three beds - it gave us more room. It was a good, clean basic hotel - just what we were looking for .

I wish it had a big lobby to hand around in. But overall, it was nice.

Motel room clean, spacious and contained everything required by family of 4. It was perfect for the overnight stop we needed. We had slight problem with toilet but would definately use this motel if in area again

Overall the hotel was nice however the Staff wasnt very pleasant at first. Actually they were quite rude but we would def come back!!

The pillows were stained, not a clean place spend the extra money for a better hotel you won't be sorry

The rooms was large and very clean, large bathroom also clean. problems with the TV on 3 separate accassions. Overall great pkace to stay.

We were looking for a stopover spot coming from Water Country, NH going to Hermit Island, ME. Needed two rooms and wanted to keep the costs as low as possible, but wanted a 5 star! Wasn't sure what to expect so we kept our expectations very low based on the price. However, the quality of the rooms were not what we expected. Everything was remolded, new decor and tasteful. Although on a busy road the noise wasn't bad. The only thing that needs to replaced are the mattresses. So overall, pleasantly surprised for the cost.

For the price it was a great stay! Can't think of anything to complain about!

Hotel was located in a perfect location. Easy access to all the main routes in and out of the area. Clean and very comfortable beds. Would recommend this hotel to all my friends looking to stay in the area.
