Itravel to NY once a month. My last stay was at the Double Treein 29, a great hotel. I liked this one as much as the Double Tree. a lot of good stuff to say. Great service, super clean rooms, quiet (except for super noisy neighbors, but that is not the hotel's fault...) convenient. close to everywhere you want to go in NY, subway, great food, entretainment. I always have reservations when booking a hotel. dont have them with this one. Go ahead, click "book now". geat for business and leisure

The Hampton Inn 35th street was an excellent hotel to stay at. The Breakfast included a wide range too suite everybody needs. The Hotel staffs were very helpful and always offer advice in regards to places to eat, etc. The only negative is that the room was very small and didn’t allow for must movement.

You can't beat the location and the hotel was very nice, clean and up to date decor. Breakfast in the morning was great, no need to spend money and eat out. I'd stay there again. The only complaint is the elevators were super slow during the busy times of the day. Otherwise great place.

Walking distant within 1mins to Macy's, near to Time square about 5mins walk. Very safe when walk back during late night. Love their nice breakfast. They even have free printing service *thumbs up*, so thoughful! My room is big. Maybe their can offer bottle water for the room, will be excellent! Will definately stay there again next time!

We love to stay here. Easy location, good service, free breakfast, We definitely will come back.

This hotel has a great staff and a terrific location! Less than a block from the 34th Street/Herald Square subway stop and almost directly across the street from Macy's. Within walking distance of Times Square, Bryant Park and the library, right around the corner from the Empire State Building, close to Madison Square Garden. The hotel was spotless and the shower had plenty of hot water and good pressure. Comfy beds as always at the Hampton Inns. Room was small but well-equipped with a desk and chair. All the staff was extremely friendly and helpful - will stay again!

Within walking distance to Penn Station. Close to attractions, subway, and Macys. Great and helpful staff. Yummy and well stocked breakfast and 24hr water and coffee bar! Will stay here again when visiting New York, can't beat it!

We were not pleased when we arrived to the Hampton Inn to learn that the rooms we booked we no longer available. We had booked two double rooms and landed with one double room and one room with a king bed. Apparently there were issues with pipes in the rooms we booked. We actually had to rent another room, so that each chaperone could have her own bed. I was given a discount after I asked for one, but we still ended up paying an addtion $466 for one room for 2 nights. We should not have had to pay for something that was not our fault. The room was also quite cold. The hotel staff was friendly overall, but I found the Concierge curt and unprofessional when I asked her a simple question. She was much better the next day. We did enjoy the breakfast and hot chocolate. Our school plans to visit NYC next year with a larger group of students, but I doubt that we will stay at the Hampton Inn. Paying hundreds of dollars more than expected really cut into our school budget.

Perfect for 3 night stay over Spring break. Would definitely return for future stay.

Everything went well and the hotel room was great. Two downers: 1) dust in the exhaust fan (keep those cleaned) 2) Elevators take forever sometimes with only two available for the entire building. But very satisfied.

The room clean but small, which is expected for New York. The staff was very friendly. The hot breakfast is great. It is about 3 blocks from the Empire State and fairly close to Times Square, lots of nearby shops, Macy's Sephora, Zara, Foot Locker. McDonald's around the corner, subway rail at the corner. Only bad thing on 3 day our keys stopped working, going down to lobby takes time because we were on the 19th floor and you have to wait for the elevator, we had to go to lobby about 4 times because each time they said it was fixed it wasn't. They finally sent someone up on my request, but it took us about 45 min to get in our room, which was horrible because we were trying to get dressed before our Broadway show.

The room was very tight for 4 people. However, I understand this is the case with many hotels in NYC. The TV wasn't working and it took some time to get that resolved. Very low water pressure in shower, at times would decrease to a dribble for a few moments (not sure if this is typical for a 18th floor room in NYC). Great location!

It is was so good and next time,i will stay there.

It's a nice quiet hotel the breakfast is good and the staff always ready to help.the negative point is the bathroom fan that make to much noise.

Free wireless internet and hot breakfast were excellent. Very close to Time Square, Empire State Building.

It's difficult to rate the hotel because although it was very good in most areas it was marred by something going missing from my room. I'd bought a new lipstick at the airport and had used it twice. I know that I didn't take it out of the room and put it back in my make up bag after use. The whole family searched the room and I emptied everything out from cases etc. Since returning home, I've also checked everything again. I mentioned it to housekeeping and at the front desk and they said they had checked but it was nowhere to be seen so they were made aware. I was able to buy another lipstick - that wasn't a problem, it was the uncomfortable and disappointing fact that something had gone missing from my room. However, the lesson has been learned and in future I won't be leaving anything lying around my room.

Staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Rooms were very nice, just not real large, which is probably common in NY. I would definitely stay there again!

The hotel staff was great when I arrived got some bad news that I was going to be moved due to some plumbing issues but the staff was able to get me a taxi and taxi money to go to another hotel which was great. I enjoyed my stay @thehamptoninn and will definitely stay again!!!

Staff were friendly and helpful, hotel was well kept and clean but the best thing was the location - very convienient for Broadway, Times Square and Empire State Building - we had a great view from our room window!

The rooms were much larger than at other locations we have stayed in NYC. The location was quiet at night and the hotel was in excellent shape. The hotel staff was always helpful and regardless of what time we woke up they would always clean our room (not a given anymore). I would definitely stay there again!!

I stayed on the fourth floor and heard large containers banging around down on the street (like those large dumpsters) three or four times during the night. I don't know if that was a one-off thing or if it is regular garbage removal or what. It was loud enough that it woke me up each time.

This hotel was perfect. It's a few blocks from some great food in Koreatown (on 32nd St). The hotel was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast with real oatmeal. I had some water on my bathroom floor when I got there, and they sent someone to clean it up immediately. Very good service.

I reserved a room with a King bed and arrived late after work to find myself assigned to a room with two doubles. When I called downstairs, I was told simply the hotel was sold out. When I asked why i hadn't been given the right room, the woman said again that the hotel was sold out. I asked what she could do for me and she said she could maybe change my room tomorrow if I wanted to pack everything up and try to change mid-day. This was impossible for me since I had a meeting at 8 AM in Flushing. When I told her that and asked what else could be done, she said "nothing", wished me a good night and hung up. Then, my TV didn't work properly (color was misadjusted), my shower curtain was ripped, the hot water was literally scalding so I had to take cold showers, and the coffee maker was broken. Too many things wrong for me to stay again.

Free wi fi is key for business travelrs- which they would frame a channel guide for theTV - obviously not everyone is local- don't have time to channel surf to locate the weather channel or cnn. Also, breakfast is wonderful. Would be nice to have plastic trays to take upstairs so I could work, eat, & go.

After arriving on a red eye, I was early for my business meeting. Asked the front desk if I could leave my luggage and sit in the lobby until my meeting. The girl was very helpful and got me my room instead. It was so nice to be able to freshen up a bit and have a cup of coffee. They offered me the breakfast service as well. I was very pleased and extremely happy with the service.

This hotel is often quite affordable for Manhattan. We have stayed here many times and it continues to be my first choice in Midtown. It is in an Ecellent location a block from Herald Square (MACY's, need I say more??), a few blocks from Times Square, directly on numerous subway routes and literally walking distance from any kind of food you need in Manhattan. It is also very clean and safe.

We'll stay there again. Very convenient to metro service and Times Square. It's nice to have a full breakfast without having to go outside the hotel.

very good staff very pleasant and friendly, our room was comfortable and clean, very convenient for all the sights that we came for .cost of hotel was very good as in the middle of all the sights.we recommend very highly and would stay again a pleasant experience.

I booked a room with a King size bed and when I got to the hotel I was told that they ran out of King size bedded rooms. This was annoying since this is not what I wanted or paid for. Otherwise the Hotel was clean the staff was nice and the complimentary breakfast was decent.

Helpful & friendly staff, hotel is in a great location and central to everything you need (Macey's is only half a block away), good value for money.

I'll plan on always staying at this hotel when in NYC.

The rooms are very small, the lift can be slow at times and our two rooms were not adjacent for the first night. This was corrected for the next few nights. Staff were great, breakfast was just right and the location is great.

The hotel room was small but nice. We had a view of the office directly behind the hotel, but we didn't book a room just to look out the window. The location was great. Across the street from Macy's. 2 blocks to Madison Square Garden. 5 blocks to Bryant Park and Times Square. Quick easy access to the subway. The parking arrangment was affordable and cheap for New York. The breakfast wasn't to bad. Overall, I would stay again.

it is right next to Empire State Bldg. I can see it from my hotel room. Right across the street is Macy's. Very convenient.

The overall stay was good. The morning of our check out the housekeeping lady in charge of the 17th floor on Christmas Day could not wait to get us out of there. She knocked our door at 8am then around 930ish she sent engineering to our room when we didn't request one. She was speaking Spanish outside our door, I speak Spanish understood every word even as they whispered, and she knocked our door again at 10:40am! Check out is not till 11am.... I worked late and had to spend Christmas with my family in a hotel..... That kinda just ruined it. Everything else was fine. The check in was fast and the young lady at check out was very sweet.

I booked just for a day before Christmas. The location is great. All the must see locations are in walking distance. The service was great. Staff were super friendly. Room was on a smaller side though. But it is heart of NYC, can't ask for more for this price. This was the only hotel in the area that gave free break fast and free internet for this price. Apart from that I'm extremely happy with the choice I made. Will stay here for my future stays as well.

Hotel was clean, bed was great, and location is perfect for those using either Path Train or NY Penn Station. That being said, there were no wash cloths in the bathroom, and the room did not contain either a refridge. or a microwave as adverstised. Breakfast was typical Hampton Inn fare. Almost gave hotel a "3" overall because of these items.

It was very nice. It was clean, quite, and location was good for us. Went to Empire State Building and saw a show the next day.

This has to be one of the best deals in midtown. The staff was amazing. We were treated with courtesy at all times. Often staff members went out of their way to make sure all was OK. The concierge personally approached us one day after breakfast, introduced herself to us, and told us all the services she could provide for us. That has never happened in ANY hotel in Manhattan in the 40+ years I have under my travel belt. Debbie, our maid, told us which stairs to use when the rather small elevators got very crowded in the morning. (If you don't tip your housekeeping staff every day in a NYC hotel you are making a big mistake. Best service comes to you when you tip!) Clean bathrooms, very hot water, comfortable bed, and relatively quiet floor. Our neighbors talked loudly for an hour and a half after midnight and we heard everything they were saying. Warning to loud talkers! And of course the free breakfast at any Hampton Inn is always the best. SantaCon was in full force the weekend we visited but luckily there were no rowdy Claus costumed or elf costumed drunks staying in our hotel. Street life outside was a bit out of hand and loud in the hours between 12 midnight and 2 AM, but we endured it all. This hotel is one of the best places we've stayed in midtown. Overall, a superior experience.

Very comfortable hotel, 20 stories tall, but only a few rooms on each floor so there was no waiting for the 2 elevators! Very close to the subway and 34th Street, Macy's Department Store,Rockefeller Center, and Empire State Building. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Standard Hampton Inn breakfast included with the price of the room, this is an important cost and time saving in New York. This hotel is grouped very close to several other brand name mid range hotels.
