Holiday Inn Rutland-Killington Area - ראטלנד

The hotel was convenient for an overnight stay. We asked for a non-smoking room and the room smelled like an ashtray. The employees were very friendly. Just for a one night stay it was a bit pricey. We arrived at the hotel around 9ish and we were out by check out time 11 am. Breakfast was good for buffet style. There was only 1 soda machine on the floor and that was malfunctioning. We had to go through the pool area to get to our room.

The hotel is a fairly convenient location to the Killington/Pico area (20 minutes or so away). There isn't much around from a food standpoint (Ponderosa, Denny's, Taco Bell and 99 Restaurants). The hotel breakfast was disappointing... everything is buffet, including the hot drinks. There was little to no presentation along with the scrambled eggs, sausage/bacon, "vermont" potatoes, and pancakes- if you wanted bread/toast, they ran out on the Friday. The hot tubs were in good working condition; however, the belt on the treadmill needed waxed as I am still trying to get the burning rubber smell out of my gear.

The hotel was fine and usual standard for holiday inn.

Pros: on checking-in the room was very clean, the room was equipped with a plasma flat screen TV, a refrigerator and a microwave, the front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Cons: three of us share a room with just double beds, it was a tight squeeze for my husband and I in one of the double beds. The hallway and pool area needs renovation. The hall carpets were worn and stained, the pool was cloudy and the two hot tubs were not working, one was empty and the other one third full with stagnat water. We picked the hotel becuase we knew we wanted to soak in the hot tubs after a hard day of skiing. The hotel is located next to a shopping center and is about 17 miles from Killington. I liked the location because we were within a short drive of many restaurants and it was a little warmer than staying up on the mountain.

Location is great, room was fine, having a fridge and microwave in the room is fantastic. Hot tub was also very nice, though I wished it was just a tad hotter. My only real complaint is the air conditioning/heat unit in the room. It is pretty loud, which would have been fine if there was a way to make it stay on - but on low, high, and auto it turned off and on, off and on. The room isn't very soundproof - noises are very easily heard from the hall except when the heat/air unit is on. So I didn't sleep well at all with either noises from the hall waking me, or the unit itself turning off and on. I don't consider myself to be a very light sleeper, but I definitely had problems here. Other than that the room was good, nice and clean, bed comfortable, etc.

I enjoyed my stay very much. I have three suggestions. Change the mattresses. They are very firm and not tolerated when someone has arthritis and change your pool to allow swimming in a deep end.

Friendly, helpful staff, but the hotel is beginning to show its' age - musty smell in rooms, old furnihings, fan in bathroom idn't work toilet flushed very slowly etc.

I was unsatisfied with my stay. The heater was "working," and the max I cut set it on was 80 degrees, yet my room was freezing all night. Even the covers were not nearly enough for me to stay warm; I ended up sleeping in my hoodie and full clothing. Also, the hotel room's numbering system was incredibly complicated and I had difficulty finding my room.

The complimentary breakfast was a joke. Toast, juice, waffles, were extra. Extra for toast? You have to be kidding!

good, but no night light in bathroom, and when I asked for one I thought I asked for a space shuttle! also too many people lingering in hallway and talking late at night, doesn't any one from security walk haaways?.

It was wonderful experince. I highly recommend to stay here. Clean, good service, good location. I am so happy with the service.

the hotel is in need of updating, old and worn looking

This hotel was ok for what we paid. They should be ashamed of themselves for the condition of their gym. It is in abysmal condition. Most equipment doesn't work and what does work is pretty rusty and in very poor condition. I found 50% of the staff to be helpful and courteous, but the other 50% not so much. The hostess in the restaurant was close to one of the rudest individuals I have encountered in a while. The room was very clean. The location was super convenient, but it isn't a place I would want to stay for a real vacation.

Found this hotel to be older and a little worn around the edges but met our needs.

We stayed at the hotel for a couple of days of skiing at Killington and Pico. Since we couldnt be right on the mountain this was a terrific alternative. My only complaint was that the hot tub jets did not work properly. I liked that one hot tub was kept hotter than the other!

We stayed two nights and the location was a 1/2 hr from Killington resort in which I was misled online when I booked but we made the best of it. Also in a strip mall.One of the hot tubs wasn't working and not very clean. Pool was clean. Room was clean and comfy. No elevators either but manageable. Overall good stay

bad-very old hotel,no elevator,old appliances in the room-feels more like a motel,overpriced, good-friendly staff,great breakfast,clean room,good restaurant at hotel

Christmas family ski trip. Hotel was close enough to ski either Killington, or Okemo mountians, about the same distance from both, but Okemo seemed like a much easier drive. The hotel was great, even if the weather wasn't. We could only ski two days because of warm rainy weather on our other two days that we hoped to be skiing. That was okay though, because my seven year old enjoyed the pool every night, and the front desk was very helpful with recommendations around town for activities to entertain a seven year old child. Plus the restuarant was great.

This hotel is not based in beautiful green countryside as the pictures might lead you to believe. It is in the middle of a strip mall on route 7 out of Rutland. It is quite a distance from the town centre and surrounded by traffic.

Nice hotel but not that it does not have an elevator.It is in a great location and has a well maitained indoor pool.

Nice room, comfortable beds, microwave, coffee maker, and fridge added to convenience; restaurant food was excellent; very friendly staff, from front desk personnel to maintenance workers; great pool and two hot tubs were steps from our room. We will definitely return!

The lady at the front desk was sweet. We arrived at 11(hours before check-in) and she got us right in a room. Will definitely stay here again!

The shower had mildew on the tiles and a dirty liner. The room smelled.

We enjoyed staying there and had fun in this town. The hotel is lovely but it sure need help improving as well as renovating. I saw the peeling ceiling in the pool area and few in the bathroom where we stayed. The heater was being loco (luckily the temperature wasn't that bad that we need it much.) I know the economy is bad but this hotel needs help badly. It was a great place to stay. I love it when it's a pet friendly. Not many are that way. A friend of mine have a pet and would love to stay there. One advice, if you want us to come back or bring in more people, please make a free breakfast as part of deal. Thanks for the great time.

Stayed only one night, but everyone from the front desk people to the conference managers and breakfast hostess were extremely nice. Location is very easy to find and the rooms are fine.

The hotel was clean and well kept with a friendly staff.

We were traveling to New York State and this was a convenience place on the way. The room was clean but this is an old Holiday Inn and so it was a little antiquated. The breakfast with the room was good. The employees of the hotel and restaurant were very helpful and friendly.

Hotel propre mais sans cachet, située à la sortie de l'autoroute au sud de Rutland. Chambre confortable. Environ immédiat typique des hôtels de proximité d'autoroutes. Bon choix pour un transit d'un soir mais sans plus.
