Hotel was nice, but staff was not very friendly. Breakfast was a free for all not enough food for the amount of people and children were not being watch by parents. Very large hotel,but clean and nice rooms. Was a great price for the room we had!

This is my first review on hotels.com, and I'm writing it because the hotel was that good. Spotless, spacious, inviting rooms and common areas, healthy and satisfying breakfast, wonderful staff, solid gym...everything was perfect. I actually left the $350 per night Canyon Villas I was staying at because the room was bland and not nearly worth the price. At $150 per night, the Residence Inn was the best hotel value I've experienced in years. They pay attention to to every detail. Kudos.

Great Hotel! Room was perfect. Wayne at the front desk was welcoming and made a good impression. Would stay there again. Price could be better.

We stayed here with family for a wedding. Hotel has no bar, no room service, etc. This is the "model" for Residence Inns, so it works for some, but wasn't super convenient for our circumstances. So guests should understand this before booking any Residence Inn. The suite was really nice though, spacious and staff set up a crib for us prior to our arrival which was very appreciated!

The room was very clean and n ice. Because we had taken our dog, I was unaware that there was a $100 charge for having a pet. I think that is an absurd amount! Our dog was in his cage and did not dirty the room in any way. The hotel needs to make it known that there is a huge charge for having a pet.

Room was very inviting and clean. The evening get together was a great break and the morning breakfast was more than adequate. Very helpful staff, especially since we experienced snow, oh yes, and needed to clear cars off.Would stay again.There was a shuttle to take people to local malls and the hospital and even other considerations, based upon schedules.

Beds were really hard but the rooms are spacious. Breakfast buffet was pretty good and also had afternoon snacks out when we got back from work.

King Studio Suite was just perfect for my needs.

It was perfect for me I was able to accomplish all I needed to do and still be as private as I wanted to be. The location was ideal

This hotel is located in the Mayo Clinic campus. If you are visiting the clinic, this is a great place to stay. The room I stayed in weas large will all the facilities for a few days stay.

I was here for 5 days to attend a review course at the near-by Desert Inn resort. Hotel staff were very friendly, room clean, rates reasonable. Shuttle worked very well. Highly recommended.

My wife and I were both very impressed with this hotel. The rooms were large and very well appointed. We had a fantastic mini kitchen with a little living room. Everything appears to be new and the pool looked great although we didn't have time to enjoy it. Breakfast was very good as well. Also, easy access to the 101...if you're on a budget (which pretty much everyone is) skip the fancy hotels and book this one. You won't regret it.

Fantastic value. Very convenient to AMEX and Mayo.

Great breakfast buffet included. WI-FI was non-existant in many rooms.. Had to change rooms to a lower floor to get functional access. No fun waiting 10 minutes for a page to load! and then the connectoin would break.. Ugh. If WI-Fi is important request a lower floor or be in the center of the building, not the end of the halls. All Staff were a pleasure to work with in and fully understood their WI-FI limitations.

I love this hotel. I have yearly visits to the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix. I try to stay here when ever possible. This location, for obvious reasons is the best if the rate is reasonable. Great morning buffet breakfast (get there early) and a managers bbq with hot dogs and hamburgers during the evening hours.

Great location off 101 and 51 several close grocery stores to stock kitchen and mall for total shopping and many restaurants close by....staff grounds room and pool fantastic....sister JW Marriott close by so shuttle over for happy hour and restaurants. Also great breakfast daily I think its 6am to 930am tons of goodies!!!!

The bed wasn't as comfortable as the Scottsdale Thunderbird Hotels bed. But the rooms were very nice and the location is perfect for the Mayo Hospital.

Great place to stay with children. The pool was nice and warm and the food was good for breakfast each morning. The size of the rooms was larger than expected and the location is close to major freeways. Will definitely stay again!

ALTHOUGH THE ACCOMMODATIONS AT THE HOTEL WERE GREAT, UNFORTUNATELY THE VENUE OF THE JAZZ CONCERT CHANGED FROM THE JW MARRIOTT LOCATION TO LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ. WE SPENT ONE NIGHT AT THE Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Mayo Clinic. THE HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS WERE 45 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE NEW CONCERT VENUE LOCATED IN LITCHFIELD PARK, AZ. HOWEVER, THE HOTEL STAFF WERE INCREDIBLY NICE WITH ASSISTING US IN SECURING A ROOM AT THE RESIDENCE INN BY MARRIOTT PHOENIX GOODYEAR WHICH WAS ONLY TWO & A HALF MILES FROM THE NEW CONCERT VENUE. NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE SPENT EXTRA NON-REFUNDABLE MONEY FOR THE Residence Inn by Marriott Phoenix Mayo Clinic.

Nice hotel with a friendly staff. Nice and quiet but very close to a large shopping/dining area and also close to major highways. Friendly and helpful staff.

Marriott owns several hotels in the area of the Mayo Hospital/Clinic. Make sure you go to the right one because they are far apart. There were 3 other people at the front desk who had gone to the Mayo Clinic Marriot instead of the Mayo Hospital Marriott by mistake and had to take a LONG cab ride back. Apparenlty this happens several times a day. The airport shuttle drivers are just as confused as everyone else. Other then that the hotel is great and has a tasty breakfast.

Apparently Marriott owns 50 or so properties in Phoenix, at least 3 of which are in the Mayo Clinic area. If you take the Super Shuttle be sure to let them know you're at the RESIDENCE INN Marriott or you will end up at the Marriott by the clinic and have to go back quite far. ' The Residence is very nice with a great breakfast included. Rooms are like little apartments with everything you need. There is no restaurant so plan on taking the hotel shuttle someplace or order out.

This is our first pick when we are in Pnoenix. Well maintained.

The convention hotel was sold out by the time our decision was made to attend. I needed a nearby location that would also uphold my personal high standards for on-the-road living. From the easy access by car to the professional, friendly and most helpful staff to the suite itself, to the great breakfast the morning I departed, I was totally pleased. The single little thing that would have made it perfect was that after the first morning the "complimentary" in-room coffee stopped. But it was great!

This hotel is the only hotel I will stay at when going to the Mayo Clinic.

I am on holiday and I was coming from a 5 star resort and going to another 5 star resort...stayed here for only one night on my travel and I am sorry it was only for one night...location was super, the hotel was clean and the room was nice and big and absolutely comfortable...next time I am in Scottsdale I will always stay here....

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a good location. There were a lot of restaurants and shopping close by. The room slept 4 comfortably and included a kitchenette with a refrigerator, electric stove, microwave, dishwasher and everything needed to cook a meal. The complimentary breakfast was not only pastries and coffee, but also included pancakes or waffles, eggs, sausage, toast, juice, and both hot and cold cereal. Although it would be better if they extended the breakfast hours a little longer, It was well worth the money. Would definitely recommend.

It's not a fancy hotel, but it's in great condition and accessible to many things. Will definitely stay there again when we go back to Phoenix. (The full kitchen was nice.)

This is a great hotel. The free breakfast options are great. The people are great. And, they have a free shuttle within 2 miles of their location, which is very convenient. It is also next to the Mayo Clinic, which has awesome food for an incredibly low price. This is one of the best places I've stayed. Highly recommended.

The hotel was clean and in a good location. The breakfast offered many food choices, but the staff had a hard time keeping it stocked. Most of the front desk staff were helpful and friendly.
