Nice hotel - I like the modern non pretentious style of the Aloft. Nicely located in the Epicenter with restaurants, shopping and entertainment all over the place. Room is very comfortable and clean looking. If you room is close to the street expect a lot of noise from the nearby bars and streets late in the night and till the morning on weekend.

If you are looking for a nice and modern hotel to stay at that won't break your pockets in uptown Charlotte then Aloft is your place! It's connected to the Epicenter which has all the entertainment you need right in it. Very clean and the people at the front desk are friendly! Over great stay!

Imagine trying to get sleep at 230 in the morning, not being able to because the clubs in epicentre are still blaring music, and drunk screaming people. I was not pleased at all. I thought I would try something different than where I usually stay (omni). My mistake. It has great potential if they would address that issue.

Hotel bedroom look really cool online but when you get there its really downplayed when you first start experiencing your problems. when we first got in the room we had to call maintenance twice once for the overhead bed lighting not working and second time we had to get a crash course lesson on how to operate the AC unit ,which surprisingly the unit is not as easily operable to use as your home AC or heating unit. The bathroom door was very annoying actually it was a sliding glass door which squeak very loudly especially at night when you're sound asleep and one of you goes to the bathroom just to waken up to a loud squeaking noise. hotel is only for sleep , party and passing out because its in the central location of the epicenter where there's plenty of partying going on and if you bring food to the room there's no microwave and there's no microwave on any of the floors so you would have to take the elevator down to the lobby where everybody is drinking , playing a game of pool and thats just so very inconvenient , oh and that goes for if you wanting ice too. and the biggest complaint that I have was all the staff at the hotel was unfriendly and not hospitable at all. if you're going to pay over a hundred dollars a day for a room I want to see the staff crack a smile and act like they care. I really didn't feel like giving this review since I was so disappointed but I just wanted to give someone a heads up on what you might expect at this hotel.

Other than the bed being a bit hard and the maid service constantly checking on when we were going to check out. Of course we should have put out the do not disturb sign.

The hotel was VERY hard to find. The address of the place is not on the same street as the entrance. The Hotel Lobby is on the 5th floor of the building. Not much signage to guide you and only parking is the same as the Epicenter. Valet charges were more than advertised on the website and on their own voice message. The staff was nice enough to credit us the difference to use in the breakfast/snack bar. The bed wasn't the most comfortable, and the comforter was so old all the fluff inside was in lumps throughout it. We enjoyed our time in Charlotte, but would choose a different hotel for our next visit.

It was a great place to stay with a pretty good city view. However, it gets very noisy on Saturday evenings and made it difficult to sleep. Otherwise, it was a pretty good place to stay.

I stayed for my birthday the weekend of April 12 and had a very pleasant stay. Close and convenient to everything and a fun energetic vibe. Could even hang out and play pool in lobby over looking Suite with full bar. Will need to refresh some parts soon like the flooring in rooms and lobby but over all had a great experience.

TOO MUCH MONEY FOR THE ROOM...REALLY OVER RATED...HOW LOCATION WAS GREAT...I GUESS THATS WHAT WE PD FOR..SMH. I WILL NOT DO IT AGAIN

After spending the day at Carowinds we wanted to experience the nightlife if Charlotte. Staying at the Aloft Epicentre had us the middle of it all. We were writhin walking distance to numerous restaurants, pharmacy and entertainment. We enjoyed sinner at Blackfin Saloon and then drinks and the final four at Strike City. We will definitely stay here again. Jordan and Chloe were great at the Hotel.

Rooms are too noisy. We could hear our neighbors talking. We got up and checked out at 3 am

Loved it! There was alot of dust in the room, but clean other than that and a must stay if you wanna be right in the middle of everything!

Booked the hotel for me and my fiance's anniversary just forget it was Saint Patrick's Day weekend and did not know that the area turns into a party central besides that it was a great hotel I will recommend it to anyone just check area activities before booking but I will give this hotel 2 thumbs up

A lovely hotel, with a young and hip staff. Watch out however if you have allergic asthma of environmental chemical sensitivities, as it is corporate policy to use high levels of automated air fresheners. Despite a lot of effort on the part of engineering and maintenance in the hotel, they can't be easily turned off.

Staff was extremely friendly.

The white noise wasn't quite right--it felt like it was loud

heater was broke when i checked in but the staff had it fixed within the hour.

I actually fell ill w food poisoning from the Mexican restaurant nearby. The Aloft staff were very kind and helpful and let me stay way past checkout without extra charges in order to give me time to rest and recover.

I always wanted to see what they were like. My girlfriend and I enjoyed our stay.

It was wonderful hotel and close to everything.

Great location within walking distance of restaurants, football stadium and basketball arena

This was our first time in Charlotte and when we made the reservations we told the agent we needed a family friendly and a dog friendly place to enjoy the city and this place is nothing like it. We don't recommend it at all.

I read the reviews prior to booking and I noticed most parties complained about the bed comfort and surrounding noise. Those 2 issues weren't that bad maybe due to reading reviews I was prepared and expected worse. 1)The room wasn't clean; from the fixtures to the floor residue was visible everywhere. 2) This is 2012 and the only existing ice machine is at the check in booth. I stayed on the 8th :( major Inconvenience! 3) I witnessed the maid clean my room and she didn't change my sheets, or clean any surface areas. The only plus was obviously location! Which isn't enough for what you miss in expected comfort/ Convenience . The Aloft is a shiny package with no substance!

The Aloft is in a great location in city center. Not your typical hotel layout with the lobby In the 5th floor, due to it being attached to an outdoor "mall" with restaurants. The lobby was nice with a bar, pool table, seating area, and convenience store. The rooms were small and a bit nominal. If you are looking for a traditional hotel try the Hilton right around the corner. If you want to save a few bucks and try something a bit different, stay here.

Birthday at the epicenter. Hotel at the top. All I had to remember was where the elevators are.

The hotel was quite nice in a very popular area for nightlife. My main problem was the bed. The mattress pad moved underneath you, forming large wrinkles that you had to get out of bed to straighten. The comforter had been washed so many times the stuffing was lumpy. The mattress it self was hard. Otherwase, nice hotel. Good choice of breakfast items, nice bar, etc.

You are right in the middle of everything.

Nice room, but the dark colors made me feel uncomfortable, like closed in. Also the pillows were not comfortable to me.R

I like ALOFT Hotels and the Charlotte uptown location is awesome. Very convenient with all the amenities ALOFT is known for. Contemporary decor and clean rooms.

ON SATURDAY NIGHT HAD RUDE DRUNK AND LOUD CROWD IN ROOM 1419.....AFTER 3 HOURS OF ROWDYNESS 2-515 AM I FINALLY CALLED SECURITY.....WAS NOR A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP!!!!!!!!!!
