EPIC, a Kimpton Hotel - מיאמי

Great location, service and amenities. Relatively short drive/cab to South beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. Reasonably priced. I have stayed there before and would stay there again.

The Epic Hotel did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the location is a 20/25 dollar cab ride to basically anywhere important on south beach. The staff is well trained and will go the extra mile for your needs. Don't go if your trying to pinch pennies. This is a top hotel and it lives up to it's name.

Only problem was I wish I could have stayed longer.

Like the Hotel - not a lot to do in downtown Miami but if you need to stay downtown this is a great hotel. I did find trash under the desk chair which made me wonder how thorough the cleaning was.

Great experience. Staff, restaurants, room, overall hotel amenities. Pool scene was pretty cool too. worth the $$. location was great.

The hotel is beautiful as well as the room. However, because it's right on the busy street, it's a bit noisy due to the traffic. The shower gets clogged up very quickly.

I decided to stay downtown instead of SOBE this work trip and I am happy I did. The pro's of the Kimpton: It is beautiful and clean and very chic. You walk in and you feel like you're entering a gallery or museum. The staff is very helpful. The Valet guys are nice (even though it's pricey at 40 bucks a night), The pool on the 16th floor is really cool and has awesome views, and the rooms are spacious and have GREAT bathrooms. There is also a free wine hour in the lobby every evening which is a nice touch. The Cons: The valet price per night, the restaurants are overpriced for what they are, the pillows in the room were pretty terrible and I usually don't notice minor things like that - but I woke up uncomfortable every night. The spa was pretty mediocre.They do not have a steam room like the description says - which was a huge bummer. Also note that you have to pay to use the locker rooms and sauna and overall area. The amenities were very blah as well once I did pay to go down to the spa. It was not very luxurious. The prices for massages is so unreal and crazy it was laughable. Overall, I loved this hotel - it was so chic and comfortable and had great views. I think they could work on the spa though.

Stayed on club level which was totally worth it. First we had a room with no view but Gene took care of us and moved us to a beautiful room and therefore made our vacation memorable. Staff was excellent and attentive. Highly recommend

The hotel is very nice, but it appears to be a hangout spot or club scene. This causes problems because the only parking is valet. I waited for a full 30 minutes in a line going down the street to get valet service on Friday night due to the crowds of people coming in. Very annoying.

Nice hotel, better than four seasons for the most part besides the pool.

The hotel was beautiful expect when I went to take a shower the drain was clogged and the water backed up to my ankles. That's disgusting, to add to that the shower head and glass had green build up on it. For the price I paid I shouldn't have had any problems. My favorite part was the pool , my servers made my feel like a queen, Andrew and Carlos made my stay much better.

Pros were the room was very large with a spacious bathroom Cons did leave extra sheets for the pull out bed also a little overpriced

this is a great hotel but be sure to budget for extreme parking fees. also the late night room service is fast and reasonably priced but the food isn't very good.

I have stayed at the Viceroy hotel next door about 5 times. This time I opted for the Epic. Equally satisfied...but the Viceroy is a notch above the Epic. Pool, Rooms, overall fit and finish...Viceroy.

I had a great experience at the hotel. I wanted to upgrade to a nicer room, but my room was beautiful with a great view so there was no need. The staff is very friendly and helpful. however the food was a bit pricey and not so good- except the breakfast was yummy. I will definitely stay here again. much better than the hotels on south beach

The bathroom had to be designed (particularly the shower) by a man !!!!!!!!!

This was a fantastic hotel.you certainly get what you pay for & more. Placed downtown close to the pier, it took about ten minutes by cab. We were wowed the second we walked in.we immediately high fives when we entered...SPECTACULAR is an understatement. The hotel staff were very friendly,and on the ball. Check- in was a charm,as was check-out. They had a wine reception.,which was top notch. Our room was beautiful,with a wonderful view of the beautiful pools. We didn't get to enjoy the pool because of the bad weather (rain ). My hubby & friend were totally stoked with the SEVERAL Ferrari 's that frequented and parked there. They were like kids in a candy store Lol. There were amazing yachts in the bay too.Wow. Trust me people, when I say to you,AWESOME. Thank you Epic by Kimpton,you made our short stay in Miami...EPIC.

This hotel doesnt compare to other 5 star hotels, The beds were only OK but they must have ordered the flattest pillows on the market. The rooms were noisy( you coud hear room sounds on either side). Also if you have them park your car be prepared to wait, even when you call ahead.

Stayed 3 nights during winter sun get away. Room was massive and high standard. Good quality bedding, glasses etc. Missed not having kettle in room but you could request one and complimentary drinks in lobby each morning. Great pool area. Gym was one of the better hotel gyms I have been to and had everything I needed-they just need to get some new gym towels as they were abit old and hard. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I can vouch for all the rave reviews about Zuma restaurant located in the hotel. Food and cocktails were amazing but you need to book as it is very popular with non-hotel guests. My tip is go for Sunday brunch. Yes it's expensive but worth it for a special treat. I will go back.

lovely hotel. big room, with great bathroom. very nice pool. the surrounding area is not very nice so you need to drive to get to most places. only thing I did not like was $37 for hotel parking, but i think this is par for the course in Miami. We arrived in Friday night and the lobby and 16th floor was heaving wtih young,flashy people, and very noisy, which was disconcerting, and it took some time to get the car parked, so try to avoid arriving at that time if you don't want to be caught up in everything. other than that, I would highly recommend the hotel if you don't mind driving to places.

Excellent restaurant. Room shower not draining properly and need to add more bathroom amenities such as more soaps and shower caps along with slippers. Bed was comfortable but did not have convenient electrical sockets on nightstands for smart phones.

The room was spectacular with a view that was to die for. Food was extremely high quality and not crazy expensive either. Valet is very very slow during busy periods. Give them 30 mins to fetch your car.

Located near pretty much everything - shops, dining, etc. It's an excellent option if staying in the area - the staff is ridiculously helpful, wireless internet was complimentary. Best part is if you forgot something they have it, complimentary. And i'm not just talking about toothpaste. They give you a gym bag if you need one, complimentary. Also, the spa is incredible, had some free time before conference and booked a 60min massage - surprisingly the front desk (of the spa) was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again if the price was right.

The Epic is a fun place to stay, if only to look at the cars in the turn-around. Miami bling abounds. The staff is very accommodating and pleasant. The only critique is that the mattress was a little tired and uncomfortable.

Service at restaurant was rushed. Parking is tedious in the evening

I have stayed at the Epic twice and everything is impeccable. Since this stay; I look for a Kimpton in every city I travel. You know it costs a little more but the service and amenities are worth it. Try any Kimpton you will fall in love just like me!

We stopped at the EPIC before our cruise to the Carribean Islands and we don't regret it.The staff was amazing from the reception to the housekeeping, the hotel is new and very upscale, easy access to restaurants.We had a wonderful breakfast a few minutes away at a french cafe and it only took 10 minutes to get to the cruiseship with a taxi.Highly recommend it.

The hotel was a great getaway location in Miami away from the SOBE nightlife scene. The hotel's staff were friendly and consistently helpful from the car valets to the pool service to the front desk... we enjoyed happy hour at Area31 and workout classes at the EXHALE Spa. The gym had ample modern equipment. Not much to do nearby but we had a car . The only thing missing was the weather...

Over priced and over rated

A reasonable stay - would have been much better if they had a 24 hour coffee shop or restaurant.......limited availability to functional comfort. Not very efficient front desk.......otherwise ok in general.

Nice hotel with really good service. Beautiful property, pools, rooms.

Had to change rooms three times. First room was loud due to the door inside the room connecting to the next room. It felt like a dorm, listening to the neighbors' conversation... The heater (happened to be one of these few cool days in Miami) was noisy like a vacuum cleaner, guess it was not being used often, but still too loud. One of the floor lights had its cord ripped out. Yes, the bathroom is nice, contemporary, looks like an upscale hotel, but the basics were off, reminding of a cheaper hotel.

Better than Intercontinental, but less expensive. View from the balcony is stunning, especially sunrise and sunset. Staff is friendly, intelligent and helpful. Great walk along the waterfront to the Hop On Hop Off Bus stop that takes you on a city tour. The room has all you need. Highly recommend!
