Yaesu Fujiya Hotel - טוקיו

Very nice location, so close to Tokyo station and Kyobashi station (on Ginza line)! Walk to Imperial Palace area and Ginza. Staff was very helpful. 7-11 is attached to the hotel. Smoking on some floors, so even if you stay on a non-smoking floor you may get a whiff of smoke at times in the hallway (something you should try to be flexible about in Tokyo anyway). Didn't eat at the restaurant in the hotel. so can't say anything about it. My only complaint is that the window (at least in my room) didn't open which would've been nice to get fresh air, even just a crack, particularly after showering when the room gets pretty stuffy. Nice view though. Fan might've been really quiet or a/c wasn't working, not sure... but generally the room was cool the way I wanted it, so it probably was working. I would stay there again, but ask if they have any rooms that have windows that open a bit.

Overall, good hotel, convenient location especially if you need to travel by train often. A "limousine bus" shuttle takes you to Narita (YEN 2,400) in 50 min; pick-up from the hotel lobby every hour. Restaurants inside hotel are expensive. I recommend go eat at any of the numerous places around the hotel, and nearby Tokyo Station (good food, cheap). Note - my visit in Tokyo was during the week of April 16, 2013.

Booked a double room for three persons (i.e. double room with a bed added)...and checked in to find a room that is small even if there are only two people. There was hardly any walking space after we brought in our luggage. But the room was clean, and the hotel is a 5-minute walk from the exciting Ginza shopping area, 10 minutes from Tokyo Station (from which we could easily get to other major areas in Tokyo, e.g. Ueno, Shinjuku) and a few minutes from a few less major metro stations (e.g. Yurakucho, Ginza).Free Wifi is available in the room, so that rocks!

Enjoyed my stay at Fujiya Yaesu Hotel. Good location, close to Tokyo station, Tokyo Imperial Palace and Ginza shopping district. Spacious room and friendly frontline staff.

I stayed here because I needed to catch an early train from Tokyo Station. Very convenient.

We were staying in Shibuya but as we wanted to catch an early Shinkansen to Kyoto we moved close to Tokyo Station for one night. We had the standard 16 sq metre semi-double room with a view of Tokyo. The hotel has easy access to the restaurants at Tokyo station and surrounds as well as Ginza and Marunouchi. We dragged our suitcases to the Shinkansen and we were on the platform waiting for the train in less than 15 minutes, including checkout. It served its purpose and we would stay again but for a longer stay there are good alternatives in Ginza.

The hotel staff were polite and the Wisteria restaurant was very nice. Being near Tokyo Station was a plus. However, they were heating the hotel (Nov), but the temperature controls in the room did not work, so we couldn't cool our room down. We stayed for two nights of miserable sleep...it was very hard to sleep in the heat. We propped the door open for a while in hopes that the somewhat cooler hallway air would come in. When I asked at the front desk (in the middle of the night), I was told that the AC was broken and that they didn't have any portable fans.

Location perfect. Rooms small (3 persons in a duble room) but we knew that before, so no surprise. Service good.

Most expensive room we had in Japan for very little value. No wifi at all, given smoking room despite asking for non smoking. good location between station and Ginza. Room otherwise ok.

This is a great choice of hotel in all respects. The location is fabulous, and we stayed in a spacious twin room on the 17th floor, with great views out across Ginza.

We ended up staying a number of nights here.. both at the start of our trip and as we passed through Tokyo on trips to Kyoto and Aomori. In all instances, the staff was courteous, willing to help non-Japanese speakers and tremendously accommodating to our requests - that including storing luggage, arranging to have our luggage sent on to another hotel and arranging for bus transport to the airport. I just can't say enough about the smiles and willingness to help no matter how trivial the request. Having a 7-11 next door and a decent coffee shop and restaurant (Wisteria) upstairs also helped on occasion. It took awhile to get used to the bathrooms in our rooms - smallish by American standards and had the feel of an "insert" but everything worked and our requests for extra pillows and towels were met without issue. Japanese hotels provide many more "extras" in the bathroom however - including sponge, shaver, etc. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash are provided in on-wall dispensers in the shower. The hotel is about 15-20 mins from Tokyo Station making it very convenient for us as we took the subway and Shinkansen many times on our tourist trips. Overall a great experience for first-time Japan travelers.

When people talk about small Tokyo hotel rooms this is the type of hotel they're talking about. Our room was smaller than the cruise ship cabins we've stayed in. Even the bathroom seemed like a prefab plastic insert into the room. Previously we stayed at a similar priced Marriott a few blocks away and it was much bigger and nicer. We stayed at the Yaesu Fujiya due to its proximity to the train station for one night. But for any extended stay or if being near the main train station is not important, I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Wonderful location, easy to get access to any place even to the airport. Personel very helpful, room clean but very small for two tall persons.

No complaints. Staff helpful. Price reasonable for Tokyo.

Very accessable to many subway transportation for biz visit.

They were very helpful in providing a 3 to 2 prong outlet and directions and getting a cab early for the Tsujiki Fish Market. The Willows was a good place for dinner and the 7-11 outstanding for a quick bite and to pick up cash from the ATM. The only thing they need is WiFi instead of just hook up with a cable.

Air ventilation in room not too good. Although stay in non-smoking room, but no non-smoking floor. Can still smell smoke in room. Otherwise everything else is ok

Great location and great value for money. Just a three min walk from either Tokyo Station or the Ginza shopping district. Unfortunately, as with many/most hotels in Japan, there was no way to adjust the temperature in the room (only set to heating, so could get it warmer but not cooler) to my liking. Was constantly a bit too hot. Rooms were of descent size for being Japan.

The location is the only selling point of this hotel. The airconditioning was terrible!!!! We had to request for an electric fan! :(

I love this hotel, I've now stayed here twice (24 days in all!) it is perfect thanks to how close it is to Tokyo Station. Only 10 minutes to Akihabara, makes it really easy to stop by for a quick visit to 1 of the many stores. The room has internet (via LAN) for both of my stays, a mini fridge and a 7/11 off of the lobby. I couldn't ask for more from a Tokyo hotel, also the rates are very reasonable. The staff are extremely helpful. I once lost a bag at the airport and they went to great lengths in helping me have it returned. This hotel is a gem and I plan on staying there again.

It was my second stay there. it's good and i will stay again next year.

Extremely close to Tokyo Central station (5min walk). Very clean, great front desk staff, 24hour check in, good price.

The location is perfect, closed to everything. We can walk to Tokyo Station, Ginza area and other shopping places near JR Yurakuch station in few minutes. Rooms is a bit out of date but clean.

I stayed at the Yaesu Fujiya recently to attend an international workshop. Service of staff was excellent, they were extremely helpful. Hotel room is comfortable and the free internet was great. TV programme was rather disappointing as it does not cater to an international audience. I would recommend the hotel for short stay as price is reasonable

Convenient location to Tokyo Station and various commercial and business buildings. Only dissatisfaction is that no iron or ironing board are available for guest's use.

The room, though very packed and small, was clean and comfortable. The number one plus is its location. It's close to the Tokyo Station and a quick walk to the shopping area of Ginza. Getting to and from the airport was also convenient because depending on its schedule, there are certain times in the day that the hotel guest can take the Airport Limousine Bus directly in front of the hotel.There is also a 7-11 store attached to the hotel where you can buy drinks, baked stuff and other necessities. If I were to come back to Tokyo again, I would choose to stay here for its great, convenient location.

This is a typical Japanese hotel, rooms aren't the biggest. But clean, tidy, good price and good staff. Great location short walk to Tokyo central station, or Ginza in the other direction. Some Japanese chain pubs near by, and a 7/11 in the foyer, plus UCC Coffee House. Convention centre is less than a block away. I've stayed in a lot of Tokyo Hotels in this catagory in the past five years, and I think this is the best location.

We happened to be in Tokyo during the quake. This hotel was not very helpful at all. Very limited English and didn't want to allow us to stay past our reservation. After tears from my 8 year old, they agreed to one more night at the top rate but then no more. We were able to move to the Sheraton(a fabulous hotel by the way). The limited help and limited English, plus the expectation of tipping after being told no tipping in Japan, made this not a great experience. It was in a good location for Tokyo station and Ginza. For the rate we paid for the first 3 nights, it was fine. Definitely not worth more than that.

Good service. At check in time all our luggage was already in the room and had the extra bed in there ready to go. Room was simply but clean and quiet. The location was excellent as it was a 5 min walk to Tokyo Station. It was off season and during the week but the rate was significantly discounted. The price was reasonable at the discounted rate. At full rate I would have likely looked elsewhere.

Nice Hotel , Best loacation . . one thing of my comment is the "Key" to open the room , this hotel is still using the key with key ring . .which in my opinion ,it makes the hotel look "Old" and " Out" , they better change to the keycard !!!!

The hotel is located very conveniently close to Tokyo Station (closer to a ten minute walk with luggage than the advertised five minutes). The hotel check-in staff were very helpful in organising a room before the official check-in time of 2pm as my son was not feeling well and we needed access to a room for him to rest. The room was too smal for a triple which is what we requested as all they did was to put a roll-away bed in a standard twin bedroom. As a result, we had no space to put three medium to small pieces of luggage properly. Also, the room was unhealthily hot due to the combination of being small, an inflexible air conditoning system, and windows that cannot open. The hotel staff were very helpfully and organised for a portable fan which we had on every night when we slept. Uncomfortable hot hotel rooms appear to be a general issue during our travels in Japan during winter but the other accomodation places we stayed at (Hiroshima & Kyoto) we were able to open the hotel windows and/or adjust the air condioning system appropriately.

The hotel was very convenient for access tot he ACT City conference center. The hotel was very clean and up to date. The breakfast was included and very delicious. Not knowing what to expect as far as food, since this was my first trip to Japan, the food was very good. The climate control for the room was difficult to control but the operable window helped with fresh air and air conditioning. The staff was pleasant but did not speak English.

Very reasonable price. SHORT walk from Tokyo train station. Easy to find - on street on east side of station, south of station, and name of hotel very visible in English on side of hotel. 7-11 right next to hotel, with door to go from one to the other. Room a little tight - DO NOT bring tons of stuff; if two people in a double room, one will have to crawl into bed. Typical compact but extremely usable bathroom with great plumbing. Room comes with slippers and robe for use. Bus from/to airports stops right at the door. Numerous subway stops nearby, Ginza district very close, 10-15 minute walk to Imperial Palace. Nice staff. If in Tokyo again -and hope to be, it's a great city - would stay here again

Yaesu Fujia Hotel is located walking distance from Tokyo Train Station, which is of course the central hub for most locations (whether around Tokyo, a Shinkansen to Osaka, or the Narita Express staright back to the airport). I stayed for a single night layover before flying home due to the convenient location, onlhy a few minutes walk from the station. The room itself was as advertised- minimal but sufficient. Compared to other real estates in the Ginza / Tokyo area, the price was affordable for a single night. The location makes it a great stopping spot if you are going to do a 24-48 hour whirlwind tour of Tokyo- a few stops away on the train from Akihabara (on the green Yamanote line) and Asakusa, and about half an hour from Shibuja, Harajuku and Shinjuku, also on the Yamanote line. The posh boutiques of Ginza are a 4 minute walk away (in the opposite direction to Tokyo), with OIOI, a massive department store, offering many designer brands with designer price tags (which can be fun just to browse at). Plenty of food places a few minutes away as well (including McDonalds if you have a fussy eater or child in your party). I would recommend this hotel based on its cleanliness, firendly service, and convenient location.
