I liked the room I stayed in though I would have preferred having a bathroom in the room and not a shared one. My room was clean and had a wonderful view of the park. when i checked the reviews for the hotel some people had complained about noise. It was noisy at night but I was not bothered by this. Breakfast was good and girl in charge was friendly and helpful. I did not see anybody around while I stayed here apart from breakfast time. If you are ok with not having staff around and sharing bathroom, this place was great and would recommend to stay here. Also the location is fantastic!

I lived in Cambridge for a year, and recently went back for a short stay. I can tell you without doubt that the Regency House offered a nice hotel stay and will be cleaner and more modern than almost everywhere else in the city (in this price range). While the bathroom is shared, it was very clean and modern for Cambridge. I definitely recommend staying here if you expect decent accommodation.

my firend and i we went to Cambridge for holiday. i booked this hotle, hotel location is very convenient, i've had very delighted days in Cambridge.

Breakfast only served between 0800/0900 so anyone leaving earlier out of luck. Breakfast is a continental so im sure would not have been too difficult to put out earlier. Hotel does not have anyone on site. Contact through phone.Shared facilities. Heater did not work in bathroom neither did light for shaver in room.

Nice, clean hotel near everything. For the price it was great. Rooms, very clean and better than anticipated, not far from the city center, quiet location off of a park, car parking near by. Only strange thing was needing to have a combination for the front door which we did not get via email but luckily when we showed up a girl out front was able to tell us the number to get in. There was however a phone number you could call posted on the front door if you needed to so I"m sure we would have figured out how to get in regardless.

excellent location as we were attending a wedding very nearby. Pub next door v handy for a drink and food. Room was good. Might be noisy but didnt bother us as we were out all evening. Clean and tidy. I'd definitely return.

The hotel was just across the field from the coach stop, so it is really convenient. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean, and the staff were very friendly. Decent breakfast provided.

A converted house so floor rather creaky and uneven etc. Nicely decorated in neutrals etc. Mostly comfortable but couldn't open the window so too stuffy at night especially. Some shower gel or shampoo would have been appreciated but otherwise all other bits and pieces were there. Good continental breakfast. Just on edge of city centre so good location.

Overall quite good. Just 2 observations. Very steep stairs to my 3rd floor room. My room was not en-suite, but there was a bathroom next door. However, it was out of order meaning more trips up and down the very steep stairs.

Was GREATLY disappointed by the shared bathroom (that was hidden in the fine print and not stated up front). It was shared with at least 3 other rooms in the hotel where there are some long-term residents. The breakfast in the basement was good and hearty. There is only someone on duty in the front office (such as it is) M-F, 9-5. You're out of luck if you have to call a cab or ask any questions on the weekend. Only real thing this hotel has going for it is its location -- can even walk to the train station.

Regency House is a pleasant guest house. The location is perfect and the rooms are nice. but do not expect an hotel. The regency house is organized with shared bathrooms at each floors. The people managing the house are not there all day and you really want to make sure to ask them the code of the door before departure otherwise you might get stuck out. The room are nice and clean but there is not real room cleaning during your staying and my towels were never changed over a 5 days visit. Overall I would go back because it is a nice place and the location is just perfect but be it depends what you are look for.

Convenient place to stay - but front entrance & front door 'key pad' is very badly lit. It is very hard to enter numbers in the dark, with cold wet fingers or without reading specs on... (guest house not always staffed, e.g. at night). Rooms okay but the padded bed-heds look stange - they look as if they're made from offcuts of hard little floral mattress bases! However, shower-rooms are fresh & cleanly tiled, showers work well, with good pressure & hot water & much appreciated. Lift would have been nice.

The hotel was not a hotel, it was a guest house. I was disappointed with this because I thought I was booking into a hotel. There was no one in the guest house when my wife and I arrived. We were told to key in a number but this number was not on any documentation that I had so I had to telephone the landlord. She did not answer her landline but I did manage to make contact on her mobile. she was pleasant and helpful. The room was very comfortable. I was disappointed that it was not en suite. I don't like to go outside my room to use a shower or toilet. The breakfast was continental but was nice. Overall I would like all these to have been pointed out to me in the description of the accommodation. I might or might not have booked the place depending on the information. Parking was difficult. We were able to park on a single yellow line because it was a bank holiday, otherwise there would hae been a problem

a bit old, no reception, but allright. Around the corner very nice restaurants and nearby the centre.

Be very careful about check-in They have a bizarre system where you have to get a code to open the front door from them directly--which they email you MANY hours after you book on-line. They have no one operating a front desk. If you do not have the code YOU WILL NOT GET IN. Note well: THIS IS NOT MENTIONED IN HOTELS.COM. You will not get in the hotel unless you receive the code--but this is NOT mentioned at all. So you have to wait many hours from the time of booking until you receive by email the code. BEWARE. An unacceptable system of check-in.

The room was great. The breakfast was always the same, but it was still fine (rfuits, breads, ham and cheese, juices, cereal, coffee, tea). The atff was extremely helpful. The bed was comfortable. The only weird things: we were surprised that we had to share a bathroom (only 3 rooms have baths). Fine, but unexpected. We weren't given new towels each day, although we could get some from the bathroom if the cabinet wasn't locked. Same with shampoo-- in cabinet, but cabinet sometimes locked. The staff was incredible, though. The nice lady at front desk spent a long time explaining how to get around Cambridge, how not to be ripped off by cabbies, etc. She really took care of us. So did the kitchen staff. We would definitely stay there again, but would specify an en suite room.

The hotel was on a back alley and near impossible to find. No parking is available. To make matters worse, the room was an absolute dump and smelled of sewage.

The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because of decent breakfast, otherwise I'd give it 2. Bathroom is shared, the room is cold. The location is central, so if you don't mind inconveniences I mentioned it might suit you.

We had a wonderful stay. The room, with a bathroom ensuite, was almost exactly what we wished for: a rather cozy, personal, than sterile, luxorious surrounding for our weekend. The guesthouse is located central in Cambirdge. We would love to come back.

Goede ligging; matige kwaliteit

I got room 9 with silent courtyard on the ground floor. It was perfect for me - comfortable double bed, bathroom and a TV on the wall. The breakfast was good and served in a renovated room downstairs. Nice and friendly breakfast staff. Location is good with a ten-minute walk to King's Parade and King's College. The railway station about the same distance. I liked the hotel and return safely there next time.

The description on the web site did not clarify that you have to share bathroom with other guests. There is nobody in the reception during evenings/nights/early mornings, which was a problem as something in my room was broken and needed repair. This is actually not a hotel and should not even be listed on hotels.com in my opinion. The positive thing about it is that the location is central.

Very nice B&B hotel with good location. Close to indoor carpark.

Jeg er i Cambridge tre dager annenhver sommer. Har alltid bodd på et annet hotell, som jeg er meget tilfreds med. Dette hadde i år ikke ledig rom for den første natten. Jeg tilbragte derfor denne på Regency House som en nødløsning, og de to neste på mitt "faste" hotell. Det er ubegripelig for meg at et rom på Regency House koster mer enn dobbelt så mye som på det andre hotellet, hvor standarden er mye bedre. På Regency House deler tre rom et knøttlite bad/WC på gangen. På det andre hotellet har alle rom eget romslig bad/WC. På Regency House er resepsjonen ubetjent store deler av dagen og hele natten. I rettferdighetens navn vil jeg imidlertid si at damen i resepsjonen var hyggelig og imøtekommende, da vi møtte henne. Når det gjelder beliggenhet har Regency House ingen fordeler framfor det andre hotellet, så dette kan heller ikke rettferdiggjøre den enorme prisforskjellen.

街の中心からは少し離れてますが、公園の前で環境はいいです。チェックイン時に受付がいず、事前に知らされたパスワードを入力することでホテルに入り、棚から自分の名前を見つけて入室すつというシステムが初めてだったので、最初は躊躇しましたが、特に問題なくチェックインできました。また、同じフロアの２，３部屋でバストイレを共有でしたが、周りの客も多くなく、ゆっくりできました。いい宿です。

Small but practical rooms. Friendly service and tasty breakfast. Free WiFi! Only complaint was the noise level - my room overlooked the back court of a pub and the walls to the shared bathroom next door were paper thin. I could hear everything that was going on. still, definitley did the trick for one night.

I forhold til prisen var Regency House et glimrende alternativ. Trivelig lite hotell (kun 8 rom), rommet var romslig med alt en kan forvente for tre stjerner. Personalet var hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Det er ikke resepsjon på nattestid, men det fungerte helt fint - en får en kode til inngangsdøra så en kan komme og gå som en vil. Eneste to ulemper var at det var noe lytt mellom rommene, og at frokosten først ble servert 8.00.

ケンブリッジ大学への出張のため、3泊しました。場所も良く、部屋も奇麗で、朝食も美味しく、値段の割には良いB&Bです。ただ、石けんやシャンプー、歯ブラシなどが備わっていないので、近くの雑貨店で買う必要がありました。
