Very friendly staff, comfortable, clean and modern room. Tea and coffee making facilities with cake available downstairs which was a nice touch (I resisted the wine even though it was tempting). I only stayed for one night, but I would happily stay there again if I was ever back in the area.

Superb small hotel with what is for me a unique feature - a hospitality area with free top quality coffee, cakes and complementary glass of wine or beer. Free wi-fi throughout, very comfortable lounge, garden, rooms and top quality bathroom. Excellent breakfast and perfect hospitality from host and staff. Just couldn't fault it.

The Relish takes care of details - cake and wine/beer available at no additional cost - offering a tour of the hotel - a good breakfast. Very accommodating. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. Good job!

Parking was easy, although not right outside. On check in we were upgraded free of charge. The room was a nice size and clean, although there was not a bath! We had a complimentary glass of wine and some home-made cake, sat overlooking the beautiful green. They also provided us with a packed breakfast when we said we had to leave early. Could not have asked for more, thoroughly recommend.

I cannot fault The Relish. It has the warmth and intimacy of a guest house and the attention to detail and quality of service of a first-rate hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We were very pleased with our choice of hotel. Staff were very welcoming and accommodating. Well worth the money, would not hesitate to use this hotel again.

We spent a night in the Orchid room and very much enjoyed the experience of Relish. Genuine friendly reception, local advice and information. There is no off street parking and you need to walk up a flight ofstairs but everything else is so good we will certainly visit again. Home made cake, drinks were supplied in comfortable lounge areas. The shower was large hot and just what we wanted. We also went to the nearby Rocksalt restaurant which was very good.

A small yet very well maintained hotel with free wireless and snacks/coffee. Rooms and beds are very confortable and amoung the hotels I've stopped in Folkestone it's the best.

It's not easy finding good quality accommodation in Folkestone, especially if you want the town rather a location 'convenient for the Channel Tunnel', but The Relish is a real find. The location is great for the town and the Leas, with a list provided of nearby restaurants and very helpful staff who will make bookings for you. The room we were in for four nights was slightly bigger than the norm, with an enormous bed, large shower and a wardrobe space tall enough for my dresses. You need to be fit, though, as there is no lift and we were on the top floor. A problem with the shower was resolved on the day we mentioned it. Breakfasts were fine (hot dishes served from the kitchen rather than lingering on hot plates) but the best thing about the guest house was the free coffee/tea and glass of wine available – even a slice of cake if you want one. A glass of wine on the terrace (which overlooks a public garden) was a perfect way to end the day.
