Bal Harbour Quarzo - בל הרבור

We arrived here, which by the way, if you are driving you will most likely pass by this place and miss your turn several times, before we arrived in our destination of Marathon, so this was a quick one night stay. The staff were nice, if you could find them, and they upgraded us to a suite which was nice but much too large and sterile. Cold floors, no color in the rooms, no character. Also, there were bums asking for money near the parking lot so don't go out to your car unless you have to. Also, we were taking a walk across the grounds and apparently people live in this place. A woman was washing out a bedpan, YES a bedpan outside and dumping the contents into the rocks near the windows on the side near the pool. I guess I expected more from this place. They also tell you that you can't bring a pet which is fine, I don't bring mine, but I heard dogs barking throughout the rooms. Either allow them or don't I guess. There was just no character in this place. The room was spotless, so I will commend them on this point, but if you are looking for "Florida" and service, this is probably not the place you want to go. The neighborhood is alright and there is a beautiful mall located nearby, but really, this is not a prime vacation spot so I would skip this and head straight for the Keys next time, or stay on South Beach as I have in the past. I'm sorry, I just was not impressed with this hotel.

we stayed in a 2 bedroom suite and it was great. the room was very clean and comfortable. i would definetly stay there again

The hotel is amazing - decor, location, zen garden and overall feeling. We were upgraded to a suite and stayed at the beautiful west side of the hotel. It certainly was a 5 star stay for a 4 star price. I can see how people staying at the east side with a vies of the overpass and limited waterview can be disappointed.

Hotel was difficult to find, no exterior signs and GPS address was incorrect, had to stop and ask for directions. The rooms were huge, clean, and comfortably decorated. Service was terrible, room service brought us uncooked food and it took several calls to fix the problem. Upon check in we were charged a resort fee, staff informed us this includes wifi and parking. Upon check out we were charged additional fees for parking and staff informed us it was not included in the resort fee.

Truly helpful and friendly staff made our stay a great experience. The room was finished really nicely and cleaned immaculately. My only complaints were the thin walls and I would have expected a suite at this level to have a glassed in shower. Despite these drawbacks the hotel does provide excellent value for a very reasonable price.

I loved this hotel for something different from the usual corporate giants. Everything was wonderful - service was beyond fantastic. The staff went out of their way to make our visit perfect. Only wish I had more time to enjoy the zen garden. It was a little off the beaten path but still in a very nice location.

The hotel is located under a bridge, no views on the room, but there is an beautiful garden where you can lay down and the view is to the ocean, that is very peaceful. We had a Handicap room, that was not to great for us. The Hotel is closed to a beautiful Mall and close to kosher restaurants

Clean and tidy. Large rooms, location is not perfect, but the price is well below that of some of the larger location on Bal Harbour ($600 price difference from Quarzo to the St. Regis)

Convinient location, nice Hotel

NICE PLACE TO STAY, BEAUTUTIFUL AND QUIET.

Very nice, clean, nice pool and view of bay. Room was large, clean and tastefully decorated. The only problem was that the room was directly under a bridge and offered no view. It was well soundproofed but the view was terrible. Try to get a view overlooking the pool, with a balcony.

We had a little trouble getting checked in, the person to check us in wasn't around for 5 mins and I didn't feel like anyone was trying to help find him. Once we did find him, it took another 5 mins to get our keys for the room, again I didn't feel like we were very important. However, once we got to our room all those worries went away. The room was better than we even could have expected with a beautiful spacious inside and an amazing view of the beach from our balcony. I would highly suggest this hotel for anyone looking for a great night in South Beach.

it was the perfect location for starting our trip in florida. after a strenght flight, we needed comfort and silence for regeneration. this we found 100% in Bal Harbour Quarzo. Thanks for the warm wellcom-feeling!

We enjoyed our stay at this lovely boutique hotel. we would have liked to be closer to the beach, as it was a few minutes walk from the hotel, however, we found the pool and outside area to be very charming and relaxing. You would need a car to get around the area if you are traveling further than Bal Harbour, and we found that the rate for parking at the hotel was reasonable compared to the other hotels in Miami. We would definitely stay here again.

The resort was beautiful. Service was excellent . The only complaint i had was it did not have a lounge, ice machine or workout area.

This hotel was spotless on the inside. We did not want to leave. They have a air filtration system that makes the air smell wonderful and fresh. We stayed in a master 2 bedroom/2 bath condo and it was super large and super chic. Loved our stay there. It was a 2 minute walk to the ocean beach. I think it was the cleanest hotel I have ever stayed in and we have traveled a lot.

Nice place to stay. Better deal than hotels closer to South Beach and it's only a 10-15 minute drive. Nice neighborhood. We had a kithchen in our room and a nice grocery store close by. It is not a high rise hotel. The hotel seems a little small but the rooms are big. Freeway is close by. Pool is nothing special but the beach is better anyways.

Superb hotel/apartments, beautifully styled and furnished with every convenience. Only small niggle was the mattress and pillows are too soft but that's personal preference. The only real issue is that it is at the opposite end of South Beach and downtown beach area so a car is necessary. Once in beach area parking is plentiful. Would definitely stay there again and happy to recommend for long or short stays.

I had to stay in the Balharbour area and didn't want to pay for The One Resort or stay at the Best Western so I decided to take my chance with this hotel. Pros: Nice, new, clean hotel with attentive staff. Checking in and out was easy. You can walk to Balharbour shops for all your dinner and lunch times and to shop! And Harding Ave which is a $5 cab ride has a bunch of restaurants there also. Great healthy breakfast and lunch spot thats affordable, The Juice Bar. Cons: Hotel location was a bit confusing, cab drivers from airport didn't know of it, rooms aren't too "home" feeling but they are nice. There isn't a gym or a door man to help with bags etc.

Great location and MUCH more economic that surrounding hotels. A contemporary boutique hotel with new appliances/fixtures that is short walking distance to the beach, spas, and the high end Bal Harbor mall. The property has a pool and nice courtyard suitable for watching the boats coming/going from the intercoastal to the Atlantic. Less than 1/2 mile to famous Haulover Beach.

This hotel suited our needs as a family, but was very remote. The surrounding neighborhood is largely residential, although there are some high-end shops in walking distance. Definitely recommend a rental car if you stay here as eateries, tourist attractions and general shopping are quite far. The room was clean and spacious. No concierge or other amenities, so be prepared to be on your own.

Beautiful, intimate, close to many great places. Can't say enough about how enjoyable it was.

Bal Harbor Quarzo is a new Apart Hotel with most modern and latest style interior comfortably located close to Aventura. Keeps you away from the hustle and bustle of Downtown Miami. We had a wonderful time.

Once we finely found the hotel very secluded location directions on hotel website were not helpful. The Hotel was very nice small we asked for an oceanview we got a view of the parking lot and look to the left you see the ocean. But over all it was nice make sure you have a car due to the location of the hotel.

This is by far one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a while. The Quarzo hotel is beautifully designed, with high attention to detail, everything from the hallways to furniture and room accessories is pleasant! This place feels like staying on a luxury condo rental instead of a hotel. Staff was extremely friendly, at the same time discreet and very respectful. Location was great for us, because we wanted to stay away from the over-the-top Miami experience and the overwhelming resort vacation. Also, despite being such a nice hotel, nobody here seems to be even slightly snob (as it happens sometimes at boutique hotels). Bal Harbour is a beautiful, quiet and very upscale area, still close to shops, great restaurants and amazing beaches. Toileteries were replaced almost everyday in our bathroom, we also got several small gifts in our room during our 1 week stay (chocolates, a cute paper fan, jelly beans on a mini-jar). When we requested a couple of extra towels for the room, the housekeeping ladies left about 5 more!. When we wanted to print our flight boarding passes, the guests printer was not working, so they allowed us to use a computer on the front desk and print directly from there. There's is free WIFI in the room, it was great to get some work done, send some emails and plan our vacation on-site. Perhaps the only suggestion I would make is for the hotel to have a bar / snack service.

**** 4 Stars **** Hotel was beautiful and staff was very nice. Rooms immaculate and provided fully equipped kitchen! Office manager, jorge, kept talking down to his staff right in front of us which made checking in uncomfortable. Didn't like $7 charge for laundry room card in addition to cost of using it. Dryer cycle $4.00 and washer use almost $4 and cost of card. Wanted to charge 2 days of parking for an over night stay at almost $20/day which they later changed to 1 day. Luxury and cleanliness definitely make it a 4 star hotel.

This hotel was a very nice place to stay with my kids. It was also a very good deal for the amount of money spent. I give it a good recomendation.

Very spacious and very comfortable hotel. State of the art contemporary furnishing. You feel you are home away from home and definetly not in a hotel. Staff is very professional, courteous and well mannered. The only thing all of my family hated was to leave this hotel. We highly recommend it

The service at the Quarzo was excellent - from the time you check in to the time you check out, the staff have everything covered and are extremely pleasant. I received an amazing upgrade from a normal room to a huge 1 bedroom suite, which was greatly appreciated and enjoyed. The entire hotel is very well kept, clean and beautiful. I would definitely recommend the Bar Harbour Quarzo for anyone looking to enjoy Miami away from the South Beach scene.

This condo style hotel gives you the feel of staying in a luxury loft or condo with the benefits that you would have at any 4 or 5 star hotel. This place is simply beatiful to sum it up. If your looking for somewhere romantic to take the wife or just hang out with friends I strongly suggest the Quarzo. I was highly impressed with the layout and service of this hotel.

The Bal Harbour Quorzo is not the place to stay if you want to be close to Miami hot spots, but very pleasant if you want to take break and relax. I loved the outdoor seating with views of the intercoastal. I didn;t have a car and that was a problem. The Shops at Bal Harbour are close (but on a really hot day, not close enough) and once you're there, unless you're stocking up on your designer duds, the choice is limited. Keep walking and you get to Surfside, with a few more options for those without unlimited budgets. I enjoyed the walking, but wouldn't recommend it in July or to those who don't want to hike over a mile to buy a bottle of water. Everyone at the hotel was very pleasant and helpful.

This is actually a good hotel, but its about 20 mints drive to south beach. If u dont care about location then this is an excellent hotel . Very friendly staff and easy parking for 10 $ day. walking distince to the beach and nice setting area in the back yard by the marina. The pool open late and close early 8 to 8 and the hotel is only 3 floors so dont expect any view

This hotel is very charming. The hotel looks brand new and very ultra modern high end. Big rooms, full kitchen and a very nice pool and outdoor. The water front lounging area is really relaxing and has lots of outdoor sitting area and outdoor beds. The experience was a very pleasant one.

There was a group of youngsters who were screaming and banging on doors from 23.00 hours to 2am. The reception did not answer when I called down and when I made a complaint in the morning I was told that it could not have been so. I think this is appalling. The next night there was piped music in the corridors and I asked for it to be turned off. It took about half an hour before it was turned off. Don't go to this hotel if you want to sleep early.

We thought we were booking a hotel room but instead it was a large, comfortable & well-decorated condo for the price of a hotel room. The location is perfect and a free city shuttle takes you to South Beach. The hotel staff went above and beyond to meet our expectations. and the guest experience was better than what I've seen at most hotels. Overall it was an excellent experience.

Small from the outside, but very spacious 2 bedrooms, large kitchen. No need for services except when you call to ask to quiet down your neighbours. No drinks or food available in the building, you have to drive a mile south, so plan ahead. Free Internet is good and parking even better. Well worth the price. Access to beach directly, just a little stroll. Not really a hotel, more like rental apartments.

14 channels on the TV!!!! and 6 of them was in Spanish

Para quem quer conforto, quarto espaço, de bom gosto e onde tudo funciona, este é O HOTEL. É pequeno, com apenas 27 quartos, porém a qualidade a sensasional. Será minha referência em minhas viagens a Miami.

É a segunda vez que me hospedo neste hotel, e novamente saio muito satisfeito com tudo. Muito limpo, ótimo staff, apartamentos amplos. Nada a reclamar. Recomendo!
