Room was small, the air condition was crazy but location was really good. Not much more to say about that.

Good hotel in decent location. Its especially easy to get to once you leave the airport. If you are brave, take the train to Penn Station and find your way from there!

The hotel is very clean, the staff helpful, and an easy location to get to many areas of the city quickly.

Good parking rate, decent location, reasonable rates. Free internet! Great for those who've been to NYC and know where they want to go and what they want to do. Not for first time visitors who want that "NYC experience" Away from all the heavy tourist mayhem but stil easy access to everything we wanted.

I usually stay in another hotel. I was surprised about the quality of service of this hotel. The front desk personal are very nice, the rooms are clean, beds confi, bathroom very clean. I like it. I usually stay at more expensive hotels, but now this one is one of my top choices in NY. Dont hesitate to book it. I stayed in the 2nd floor, was afraid it would be noisy, it wasnt. I loved that it is in a quiet street VERY close to everything, uptown and downtown. very satisfied

Booked 2 rooms, supposed to be next to each other, one was on 2nd floor, one was on 11th floor, paid extra for a "city view", see 2nd floor room..OK, to be fair we could see out the dirty window. Elevators took forever, stairs took you outside. Staff did not care our party could not be together. Realizing we were in NYC, there should have been coffee in the lobby, not just the restaurant. Did not book this at the last minute, was booked in early January which makes it so hard to believe we could not have adjoining rooms, or even rooms on the same floor. Travel a lot, will not book this way again!

Friendly staff let me check in early, which was much appreciated. Room has all necessary amenieties and is in a quiet neighborhood. Close to Penn Station and Empire State Bldg. Convenient for anything in Chelsea. Good value, would stay again if need to be in this neighborhood.

Stay was very good, bed was extremely comfortable. Location from Penn Station is great. Nice restaurants all around. Staff is polite.

Doubletree, in my experience, is a pretty consistent experience. I did have two small issues with this location however. First, the sheets in my bed had some black smudges on them, like they hadn't been washed prior to my arrival, so that was gross. The rooms were very, very tiny, even for new york standards. The location is inbetween busy roads, so its hard to get a cab right in front of the hotel. Other than that, its location was great because there are a ton of good restaurants in every direction. There's a great little sushi place on the same street.

The staff was very nice, security good, welcoming cookie excellent. The in-location, while lacking in ambiance, had an excellent hot asparagus soup, and simple but adequate happy hour fare. Very clean, very comfortable room. We only have one complaint. There was not a single blanket in the room. Not on the bed, not in the closet, no where. I can see having to call for an extra blanket, but to have NOTHING on the bed but sheets is ridiculous. I have never seen such a thing. A very comforatble bed, but without a blanket. Brrrrrrrrr....

Possibly the most comfortable bed I've ever experienced at a hotel. This hotel is ideal for business travel as it's right in the middle of Midtown. I'd consider staying there again.

Great stay, satisfied with service. Stayed for one night for a business trip during the week - hotel is facing 29th street so it's nice to not have the avenue noise. Choose a room on a corner of the building if you can (you will not have another room on the other side of your bed) - my room was pretty quiet and I got good sleep. Great rate for the neighborhood and convenience to my office.

I requested 2 double beds and a room with handicap facilities in the bathroom, we could only get a queen size bed with a rollaway. It worked as the handicap facilities were perfect. The room was a little smaller than I imagined from the pics, the people operarting the hotel were friendly, helpful,and gracious.

This was a perfect location for the meeting I was attending. The staff kept the place safe, clean, and friendly. It was a good value for the location & convenience.

Very friendlyand helpful staff, clean and comfortable room, and convenient to many sites and subway.

Other than the size of the room, I would highly recommend this hotel. I was 3 blocks from the subway and bus stations. Room was clean. Amenities were plentiful and staff were extremely friendly and knew their stuff.

Fantastic hotel for the price and location. Very comfortable 2 bed room with all the comforts of home. Little small especially when sharing with 15yr old but expected in NYC. The hotel, upon booking in, gave us complimentary breakfast (given the holiday was also our honeymoon). They were very helpful, great location to 7th Ave / Penn Station, very clean and the customer service was exceptional. No complaints whatsoever. Highly recommended!!

Pros: - good central Mid Town location - clean modern rooms - lots of electrical outlets - very comfortable bed - free wifi Cons - bed wasn't made with a blanket, just sheets. Had to call housekeeping for blanket - can be a wait sometimes for the two elevators serving the entire hotel. Recommend getting a lower floor to have option of taking stairs - TV didn't work in my room - small room, though par for the course for this price range and location

The service by all staff was attentive and good. The location was great, little or no street sounds. We walked to Times Square, Rockefeller Square and othe sites. Breakfast is good. Rooms were comfortable, clean and good.

The hotel had a great location, just blocks away from Macy's and time square; also great little side shops along the way! The staff was very helpful and friendly, would definitely recommend this hotel to friends!

This hotel was a perfect location to Madison Square Garden/ Penn Station. Staff was incredibly friendly! happy the security checked our room key coming in late at night, all about safety. Room was pretty and clean, and perfect for a 1 night city stay. I saw other complaints about the elevators, but really didn't think it was a big deal and I timed them fine. Highly recommend and I would definitely stay again.

I think that the hotel is very comfortable, clean and conveniently located near Penn Station. I will definitely book to stay at the Doubletree again.

Service was very good. Employees,particularly the restaurant wait-staff ,were outstanding. They deserve to work at a better hotel. Two elevators for 240 rooms! Really? Long waits, small rooms, tiny lobby. Location was good for events on 7th Avenue, the Garden, etc. but the actual street the hotel is on is dark, and deserted at night . While nothing happened, it was not as safe feeling as I would have liked. Heard this from others as well. The hotel should have a security guard outside at night , visible to everyone on the street.

PERSONNEL WERE FRIENDLY EVERYTHING WAS CLEAN. HOWEVER I'VE NEVER BEEN IN A HOTEL WHERE THERE CONSITENT 10 MINUTE WAITS FOR ELEVATORS.YES THEY WERE INSTALLING NEW RUGS BUT THAT IS WHAT THE FREIGHT UNITS ARE SUPPOSED TO BE USE FOR. BAR OK RATES COULD BE LOWER QUIET PLACE GOOD LOCATION AMENITIES GOOD FREE WIFI AND AN OFFICE TYPE ROOM FOR ANY GUEST TO USE GREAT SERVICE AND CONCIERGE ON SAT AFTERNOON "FANTASTIC"

Great hotel and location. Staff very friendly and accommodating, however there were no comforters for the beds. Great size room for nyc though
