Royal Albion Hotel - ברודסטיירס

The weather was very windy and cold during our stay which did not worry us when we were outside but it did affect the temperature of the room as the wind blew through the cracks in the door, which was not double glazed. To maintain the temperature in the room the curtains had to be closed throughout the day which meant that we were unable to take advantage of the sea view that we had paid extra for. Even with the curtains shut there was still a very robust draught coming through the door. "Very uncomfortable."

Could not fault our stay, food was excellent, room comfy and warm and good service from everyone plus good central location next to the sea.

This hotel is very clean, big spacious room with a huge bed! Nice bathroom. My partner and I had a sea view room which was lovely however I am sure the non sea view rooms are just as good. Very friendly staff and the restaurant isn't too bad either, it had very nice food and the service was good. My partner and I would definitely go again, in fact, we're looking to go back in the Summer. It deserves more than 3 stars!

Very typical, better than average British hotel. I took my mother for a couple of days and we each had a single room. The single rooms are probably not typical of the main double rooms, so I can't comment on the bigger rooms. The single rooms were very tiny, as my mother described "children's rooms". Very, very basic, with tiny bed and hardly room to turn around, bathroom with shower the same. Also I guess single rooms are the worst as they face the street which was somewhat noisy late at night and drafty (no double glazing). But overall it was clean and the staff very nice. Included breakfast is good as mentioned by everyone, and you don't have to stick to the menu, they will make whatever you want. The food in the bar is just that, bar food, rather oily roasted veg and soggy fries, nothing to right home about. (Go up the road to Cafe 54 for really good food). Bar staff very nice, let me sample beer before buying! Broadstairs in the winter is pretty dead, Dickens museum and Bleak House both closed, so 2 nights was plenty long enough, but it made a nice break for walks on the sandy deserted sandy beach.

The staff were extremely helpful and enjoyable and all round ameneties of the hotel were excellent

Eight of us had a brilliant time! Service and position of hotel is amazing! Apart from one or two little plumbing problems, everything was great.

Super rooms, clean and to a good specification. We enjoyed having connecting rooms but could a an issue for others as only single connecting door. View was wonderful overlooking Broadstairs beach. Breakfast ample but would prefer smaller amount higher quality. Great location. Parking is a feww hundred yards away. Overall a very enjoyable stay and would happily return.

Excellent small hotel in every way.Most helpful reception staff, roomy, comfortable room, and heating under my control. Lovely bathroom with instant hot water. Altogether a super old building very well updated. Good restaurant and imaginative breakfast menu. My only small complaint was that, as fairly usual no grab rails in the otherwise great shower.

Have just returned from a one night stay at The Royal Albion Hotel in Broadstairs. The staff were friendly, helpful and really wanted to make your stay a pleasure. The room (No 32) had a lovely view out to the bay. Comfortable kingsize bed with large bathroom and modern beach style decor. Very comfortable. Only downside was the food in the bar in the evening. We had a dog with us so could only eat there. It was horrible. Greasy, oily fish and chips and tasteless fishcakes. You can tell it was all out of a packet.

Very comfortable and welcoming, friendly staff and wonderful location. Would definitely recommend.

Good hotel, great location on the seafront. Plenty of restaurants and bars all close by. Hotel staff very helpful and friendly, will definately visit again in the future.

this hotel was perfect. It overlooks the sea on a charming road. It is a stylish old building that has been recently refurbished in good taste - our room and bathroom were beautiful. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful - the food and wine delicious. The parking wasn't on site but very close and free, thanks to the hotel. There wasn't a negative aspect of our stay.

our stay was very pleasent.we were sorry it was only for one night.staff were so friendly.our room was fantastic with a beautiful view of the bay.breakfast was perfect.i would definately go again.

Loved it! Right on the seafront and my room overlooked the beach. Great view of the fireworks display! Top notch breakfast which you could take on the outside terrace. Best chilled wine we found throughout the resort. And if the place was good enough for Dickens...........
