Stayed for one night, the room only had a stand up shower which to bad but I would have preferred a full bath tub, cable channels are very limited and the dont have room service which I'm use to but other than that its comfortable and clean!

awful experience at this hotel. we left and did not stay here.

The room wasnt cleaned thoroughly prior to the previous visitors..there was hair on the sheets on the bathroom floor rose petals as soon as we walked on under the table and behind the curtains

A little bit better than I expected .

We were flying out of the Philadelphia airport in the morning. Hotel was about a 10-15 minute drive so it's super convenient. Hotel also offers a shuttle to the hotel which is nice.

The sheets were pilled and the pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. The mattresses were no better than average. There was no blowdryer in the room. There were (almost) enough good, clean towels. Room smelled like BO when we first entered, and the neighborhood was dangerous late at night when we got there. Street people hit us up below the hotel, and parking was random, on the street. Breakfast was ample with waffles. I would not go back.

To begin with, I was assigned to a handicapped accessible room. The shower device was too short (and I"m not a tall guy), making it extremely difficult to bathe without staying bent over. Worse still was the lack of soap. I was provided with a single one and a half inch square bar of soap for a two night stay and the shampoo and conditioner were not replenished. Because my involvement with (semi adjacent) Widener University will require me to return to the area, frequently, I am hesitant about staying at this hotel in the future.

Great stay!!! Really appreciated the shuttle service to/from soccer stadium. Hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. Room was very clean.

This hotel in definately not in a very nice part of town. The front of the hotel faces the university, but the back, where the parking is looks like a seedy part of town. We were in town for my cousins wedding and got there early so we could get dressed at the hotel. When we arrived, the lobby was very warm which should have been a sign of things to come. Our room was roasting and after 2 hours the air conditioning still did not work in our room. We called the front desk and they informed me that a maintnence man would be there to fix the problem, within 2 more hours. I had to get ready for the wedding in the heat and later that night, we learned that the a/c could not be fixed. They were willing to DOWN grade our room because that was all that was available, but we were already at the wedding and wouldnt be back til after midnight. Also, we went down to the front desk for more towels and shampoo because there was 4 of us in the room and they didn't have any shampoo or conditioner to give us. Even though the sign in the room stated that they would be happy to supply any tolietries. And finally, the next morning breakfast was served from 6am until 10am. We arrived at 7:45am only to find 2 pieces of wheat bread, some hard boiled eggs and a lady making the last few waffles. Everything else ws gone and they had nothing else to serve. Needless to say, I was more than disgusted with our overall stay at this hotel.

The room was very nice, staff was friendly,the shuttle worked out great with the drivers being very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to friends.

At the time we were there, the toilet in our room did not flush. We alerted the desk staff and they were nice about it but said that was just how it was. They did not offer to give us a different room and we didn't press it. Our family needed to use restrooms elsewhere during our stay.

One of the women at the front desk was rude, but the others were professional. Widener is only a three minute walk away, but don't go walking around the area at night. Shuttle drivers were extremely nice and helpful. Shuttle will drive you to the airport for free where you can catch a cheap train into town if you want to check out Philadelphia. Other than the rude woman at the front desk, I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to stay close to Widener, etc.

Horrible noise control, I was up all night between the hallway noise, person above me walking and next door arguing. The neighborhood is less than desirable, and not one to be walking alone even during the day in.

No fence around the property or the parking area. If fully booked, you will not have enough parking. However, there are street parking. I don't feel safe parking my car there, but I didn't have any problems. The picture is kind of misleading-- not all hotel. This building divided into three parts: apartment, seven eleven store, and best western hotel.

1) I called 10 days earlier to confirm the reservation and to request a microwave. I was promised one but when I arrived it was not in the room. I stayed for 3 nights and asked for it every day but did not get one. 2) The safe was dead. I reported it and was promised to get it fixed. Did not happen. 3) Beds are great, TV works, refrigerator works. 4) Carpet needs cleaning. 5) I used train to downtown which was great. Hotel shuttle to airport train station was also excellent. I asked if I should return to the place where they dropped me off and the driver said yes. When I returned to that exact place I called the hotel multiple times to tell them where I was waiting. They just could not find American departure at Terminal A East. I was standing in cold weather for 50 minutes. At my age I also had to suffer since I was afraid to return into the terminal building and miss the shuttle while taking care of my physiological needs. Bottom line: I am reluctantly recommending this hotel not because it is perfect but because it is less expensive than the $500 hotels that were available downtown Philadelphia for those days. The problems I mentioned are easy to fix with a good manager and a motivated team.

Very nice hotel. Some issues in getting to lobby from the parking. May have to deal with some locals.

I picked this hotel because of its proximity to PHL airport and I-95 and Claymont, DE. It is new and clean and quiet and featured a nice breakfast. It is a little tricky to find the first time because it looks like an office building and has a small sign. There is a bank in the same building which you see first. Otherwise, a nice hotel and good value.

Part of a mixed use project that includes apartments and a convenience store. Parking lot was open to surrounding neighborhood that was very decrepit. There did not appear to be any security cameras and very poor lighting in the lot, which was completely out of view from the hotel lobby. Convenience store attracted a bunch of low life looking characters. Although the hotel was pretty new, the chair in my room had a large, obvious stain that looked like the source was some sort of bodily fluids. When I notified management, instead of offering to move me to a different room, they said they would be sure to have someone look at it the next day. The following morning while having the continental breakfast, the server decided the best morning music for the guests was the local rap station which blared from somewhere in the kitchen. I would definitely not stay here again.

I enjoyed my stay. The surrounding neighborhood was a little seedy but the staff was attentive and the room was nice. There is a college directly across the street so there was at least some feeling of security. If you just want a nice place to sleep at a reasonable price in the vicintiy of the airport, you'll like this one.

Rooms was nice. Shuttle to airport was easy. Not many places to eat around hotel - can take shuttle or order room service. Hotel is directly across street from college campus. We were there during summer - so no school in session.

This hotel is a hidden gem. Close to airport yet a third of the cost of other hotels. Free parking for duration of trip and free shuttle to and from airport and casino. The rooms were nice size, lots storage, and were clean. I will always stay here whenever I have an early flight. Enjoyed my stay, Staff were very nice.

The room was clean but there were issues in the bathroom. The toilet seat was broken, tissue paper holder coming out of the wall, shower did not work and there was no tub, water pressure in sink was low. The issues were brought to the attention of Molly Fisher, the manager on the next day. She had it all taken care of while we were out for the day AND gave us a gift card for $150 toward our next stay at Best Western. We had used Best Western for several other reservations on our trip and were pleased with the accomodations and consider this occurance the exception rather than the rule. I was very pleased with the efficient response by Molly and would reserve with Best Western again without hesitation. Just an aside. I think it would benefit the overall impresson of the hotel to keep the area from the parking lot to the hotel entrance swept daily as it is a kind of walkthrough area from 7/11 store and people seem to throw debris there ie paper cups, cigarette butts, paper wrappers etc.

Forced to wait over an hour at the airport for the free shuttle...then realized the following morning that no bath towels were stocked in the room. This is a comfortable, quiet hotel for a short stay - just hope you don't have to interact with the staff.

Stayed in May 2011 for 4 nights. Very nice hotel in new condition. Comfortable beds and clean rooms. This hotel has a European feel. Staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast is quite good with several choices. The lady will make you waffles if you wish. In a university area with good access from highway 95. Not really easy of access if using public transportation but they have a shuttle to the airport and then you can take public transportation from there.

Although I did not have a bad experience at this hotel, 3 blocks away was not a very safe area and I would run in after my return from dinner every night. There is nothing at walking distance so I recommend you have an automobile. If you are visting the university, this is a great hotel for you. If not, try Media, PA area.

We just stayed for one night and did the park and leave. I felt safe and also felt safe leaving my car in their lot for the weekend. We had a driver to the airport in a nice and clan mini-van. Our driver Jay was te man! He was so nice and had great conversation on the way to and from the airport! We did not wait long for him to come neither. Jay I hope this e-mail takes you by surprise because you had just told us you were new to the hotel's employee staff. Thanks Jay. We would recommend this place to our friends and would stay with you in the future. Mark and Donna and my 2 children Thank you Jay.

Hotel was clean and the location worked for what we needed to do while we were there. The staff was great and the breakfest was good.

The location Airport south was a bit misleading. The area is not the best, buit I wouldn't say it was bad. I wasn't sure what dining was available inteh immediate area. IT is also located right across the street froma University. The room was fine. If you are looking for a true airport location, I believe their are probably several others closer to the airport.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Clean ,comfortable, spacious rooms and the bathroom was beautiful! Breakfast server Geraldine is the sweetest most helpful woman. She greeted us with a big smile each day and made sure we had everything we needed. She even made us waffles!!! The cleaning woman did a terrific job refreshing our room each day...that was nice. We were attending the NCAA Wrestling Tournament at the Wells Fargo Center and it took 10 minutes to get there. Almost a straight shot, that was so convenient. 7-11 about 100 feet away which was great not having to search for a store. Didn't use the Exercise Room but it looked great and clean. We have never stayed at a Best Western before this and after our experience we will always look for one from now on. Best Western in Chester PA ROCKS! Look for Geraldine!!

Great acomodations. The room was just I as expected it to be, lots of space and confortable. Totally recomended!!

this is the second time we have stayed at this hotel , both times the staff has been beyond friendly and personable , greet u and treat u with respect and kindness, rodney the driver was very helpful and hospitable, the woman who checked us in had an awesome personality and extremely helpful , we will definetly come back ,!!

Hard to find but worth the effort. Excellent rooms, friendly staff, helpful and courteous. The beds were great, the facilities were spotless, and the coffee in the morning was good. incredible value for the money.

We had a great time. The hotel was very clean, and had very contemporary furniture. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The free breakfast could have had a bigger selection of fruit, but they did have muffins, bagels, cereal, coffee, tea, orange juice, apple juice, chipped beef gravy, toast, and a waffle maker. It was all very good. The location is great for going to PPL park, because of the free shuttle, and free parking at the hotel. It's only a 5 minute drive. Although this hotel is right across the street from Widner University, the surrounding area is a little bit ghetto looking. I wouldn't go walking around alone at night or anything, but I did feel very safe while inside the hotel. It was super nice, and I'd go back in a heartbeat!

My wife and I stayed here for three nights during a visit to Philadelphia and New York. I can't say enough good about the hotel. It was clean, located conveniently, and well maintained. It was a welcome relief after a long trip to go into a clean, comfortable room. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others both for price and quality.
