I would highly recommend this place...absolutely great!

Middle beach is a very relaxing place to wind down and get away from city life. The staff is very accomodating and friendly. Even during two days of pouring rain we enjoyed ourselves

I have stayed at this hotel many times but had never booked through hotels.com. A few days before our arrival, I called the hotel to confirm our booking and was told they did NOT have the cabin we reserved and we would have to take an inferior cabin as the resort was fully booked. I was very upset by this (the offered unit had no ocean front balcony which was primary feature I wanted) so I called hotels.com to complain that the hotel was not honouring my booking. The agent from hotels.com immediately called the hotel and initially she was told the same thing - the hotel was full and we would have to accept the cabin offered. As this was actually a downgrade hotels.com immediately offered me the $100 differential between the 2 units. I still wasn't happy with the hotel but I was very impressed with how hotels.com handled the situation. I later received a call from the hotel saying they secured the unit I originally booked but the whole ordeal was a total hassle. The hotel itself did not even mention this mix-up when I checked-in (no apology) and made no effort at all to make amends for the giant hassle it caused. We found the hotel service in general to be lacking (tv remote didn't work, asked twice for it to be repaired with no response, did not replace towels and toilet paper etc.) Overall, we love this hotel with it's spectacular, natural ocean front setting but they need a little lesson in customer service...perhaps hotels.com could give them some pointers.

It was more secluded than I had thought - people should know there aren't TVs in the rooms and the wi-fi is pretty much useless. Having a car is also a good idea. Beautiful location though and the staff was great.

we just loved the warm, rustic , beautiful lodge---very open and cozy--all windows and wood and antiques....staff great--breakfast and tea just great..so close to beaches and tofino and ucluelet....we highly recommend to anyone...would love to return next year !!!!!!!

not given room that was booked. hotel had booked wedding into intended room and tried to fob us off with room with no view or balcony NOT VERY HAPPY

Found the lodge a great get away. The location on the beach was a great plus for us. The surrounding area was very peaceful. The breakfast was greatly appreciated. And the evening setting was a great way to meet new people and unwind from the day.

Loved the great room in the lodge where we could have our continental breakfast (with delicious homemade muffins and cinnamon buns!), coffee and tea, and the best part--cozy couches to snuggle up with a book by the fire on a rainy day. A wonderful relaxing place. Only downsides were smaller bedrooms (but really, who wants to stay in the room!), window shades that didn't block the morning light (if you wanted to sleep in!) I can't wait to return to this lovely retreat!

Great lounge area in lodge, fab beaches, great cinnamon buns for breakfast. Rooms are a bit tiny though, hardly room for suitcases, but great views! Good for the price. Good location. Service was good. We will be back!

very relaxing

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff were friendly and although small, the room was perfectly fine. The view from our room was wonderful. We really enjoyed the breakfast and the fresh baked cookies at night were very nice touch. We will definitely come back this was excellent value for money.

Had a little problem with room as smaller of cleaner or something that was not comfortable, but front desk re arranged things and we had comfortable kick back stay. Would recommend and good value with Middle Beach being virtually private for guests.

In spite of the rain I could enjoy the hotel, very agreable and relaxing.

Located on a headline, Middle Beach Lodge is suited for storm watching or admiring the view of the beaches. The main lodge offers comfy seating and a great breakfast. Cookies in the evening are a homey treat.

This is a perfect getaway hotel. The only aspect we didn't like was the spartan bed. Need a little more cushiness!

Very nice hotel, rooms are clean and comfortable , the continental breakfast and all day tea, coffee, hot chocolate is the best yet...We will recommend this hotel to our friends.

Rooms way to small, no TV or Telephone only good thing we have to say is Great soap, shampoo etc BeeKind brand lovely

We stayed in the "Beach Lodge" for five nights. The accommodation was heavenly. We had a wonderful king sized bed with separate living room /kitchenette and our own balcony with a view of the beach. We could hear the waves crashing against the shore at night. While we were separate from the main lodge we could drop over for breakfast (Be warned, it ends about 9.45, so you have to be early!)or coffee and relax by the fireside. The home baked breads and muffins were a nice touch. the private beach is small, ideal for families.

Although many of the hotels amenities (everything from restaurant to rainslickers) can be shared while renting a less expensive room, our getaway in the beachhouse was worth the extra investment. A quiet mossy clifftop overlooking the beach was our backyard. The jacuzzi, fireplace and super soft bathrobes made our stay super comfortable. Staff were friendly & helpful. It was as we had hoped. Would stay there again & recommend it.

this was by far one of the best and most relaxing places I have ever stayed. The lodge is perched on a rock outcropping right over the pacific ocean between two gorgeous beaches. The service was amazing. The lodge was cozy and welcoming...they serve fresh baked cookies every night at 8pm and also prepare a good breakfast every morning. Actually...what I enjoyed most about this place is that there are no TVs or phones in the rooms....may be strange for some people...but I took this as a place that truly encourages relaxation and rejuvenation.....truly getting away from it all. At night, guests gather in the lodge to relax by the fireplace , read books, play games , mingle with a glass of wine, or grab a cup of coffee and watch the sun set over the ocean. I surely be returning to this place . It was truly amazing! You will not regret it.

Lodge was very comfortable and cozy. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. The breakfast was not attended very well by staff, as the coffee carafe was empty, cream container was empty and there were no napkins set out. Croissants and muffins went very quickly and were not replenished.

We enjoyed our stay in this hotel, and found the staff to be very friendly. The hotel has a great view of the ocean and lots of walking paths. Must be prepared for small rooms with no TV telephone or hairdryer. The TV room is in driving distance from this hotel. The continental breakfast is hot and plentiful and available from 8:00 to10:00

This is a very quirky hotel built in the style of a wooden lodge in the heart of the rain forest but with it's own deserted beach. The rooms are small but adequate, very clean and well serviced. The bed was very comfortable. We were in a downstairs forest facing room and had a balcony that was relaxing to sit on and watch for wildlife. The hotel provides free coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the very inviting lounge all day. There are also fresh baked cookies available at 8pm as well as a roaring fire. If you just sat in your room you would miss out on the character of this hotel as the lounge is the heart of the place.

Middle Beach Lodge is cozy, charming and homey. Rustic, but chique. The guest rooms are small, but they make up for it with the large common area lodge room. The views are spectacular, with many quiet seating areas, comfortable seating and outdoor decks. The continental breakfast which was included, was fresh and delicious. This is the perfect getaway spot with excellent value.

Having flown into Vancouver and driven to Tofino this was a wonderful place to change our pace of life. The location at the head of a beautiful wooded peninsula and private beach was perfect.The views and the sound of the sea were restful. The lounge fascility was perfect . A place to eat breakfast with fellow gusets ,but also a place to relax ,overlooking the beach .Hot drinks and freshly made biscuits or muffins were always available . It really was a fabulous destination .

Beautiful location, although a long drive from Victoria (4.5 to 5 hours). Suite was comfortable for three. Breakfast good, although starts a bit late. Optional dinner was very good. Not cheap, but then again, nothing in the area was cheap. I would go back.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön gelegen an einem kleinen Strand mit einem wunderschönen Blick aufs Meer! Die Lobby ist sehr schön und gemütlich eingerichtet mit viel Glas und Blick aufs Meer. Auf den Terassen sind Stühle und Tische, um die Sonne und den Ausblick genießen zu können. Das Frühstück was sehr süß ausgerichtet und läuft etwas anders ab als in den meisten Hotels. Die Zimmer sind sehr klein und es gibt keinen Kleiderschrank, sondern nur Kleiderhaken. Alles war sauber! Das Hotelpersonal war sehr hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich! Trotzdem was der Aufenthalt sehr schön und ich würde jederzeit wieder hinfahren.

Das Hotel liegt traumhaft, direkt am Meer. Wenn man die Balkontür öffnet, hört man nur das Rauschen der Wellen. Zwei Strände sind direkt vom Hotel innerhalb von 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Zu Fuß ist es etwa 45 Min zum Laufen nach Tofino Zentrum. Im Juli und August fährt der Tofino Bus, allerdings abends nur bis 19.00h. Ganz leckeres Frühstück mit sehr gutem Brot. Jeden Abend gibt es selbstgebackene Cookies.... Auch für Alleinreisende sehr gut geeignet. Ist in Canada eher schwierig und teuer, für alle die nicht ins Hostel wollen, da man immer den Zimmerpreis bezahlt. Der Aufenthaltsbereich war mir persönlich zu anonym - aber die Lage an sich ist ein Traum und macht eigentlich alles wett.

Chambre confortable et très bonne situation. Mais attention, ce qui est compris dans le petit-déjeuner est insuffisant pour un hotel de cette catégorie (seulement céréales et jus de pamplemousse). Tout est fait pour prendre la version continentale payante.

Underbart och charmigt hotell. Hela dagen står kaffe, te och varm choklad med tillhörande marshmallows framdukat. Fram till långt in på eftermiddagen finns även muffins och croissanter framdukat. En underbart stort rum med många soffgrupper och spel (schack, backgammon mm) finns där det serveras frukost och kvällsfika Där är även en stor mysig öppen spis där det eldas. I ena hörnan är disken där frukost, varma drycker och kvällsfika serveras. Frukostbuffén har bl.a. hembakat bröd och hembakade kanelbullar. Klockan 20 varje kväll serveras det nybakade cookies, flera olika sorter. De bakas i köket man ser in i från samlingsrummet så det doftar underbart där av allt nybakat. Läget är perfekt, alldeles vid stranden. Mysiga platser utanför hotellet så man kan sitta ute. Tidvattnet gör att man vissa tider på dygnet har en otroligt stor strand att promenera på, andra tider är stranden något smalare. Vi stannade två nätter på hotellet, den hela dagen i Tofino spenderades på havet med bl.a. valskådning, men om vi visst att hotellet varit så charmigt och rogivande hade vi valt tre nätter så vi fått en hel dag att spendera på och runt hotellet.

Mooie ligging, eenvoudige kamers maar wel 'n fijne huiskamer.
