The Eldon Luxury Suites - וושינגטון

Overall a very nice place to stay. If I had stayed longer I could have taken advantage of the kitchenette. I could have passed on the $5 breakfast served downstairs and gone to Starbucks, but otherwise a nice place to stay.

Got the room on a steal for 200 for the night, pics where cool but I have been fooled before....was so upset with myself I didn't take more time ... room gorgeous and beautifully done ...bathroom was exquisite....if you can get it for a steal you should steal it for a week!!!

The Hotel was nice, did not have any problems, the location was very convient, will stay there again.

A really think it is a clean comfortable hotel. It is close to all major DC points of interest. Reasonable price for the DC market. I would stay again.

Excellent Rooms. Very Clean. Suite was beautiful. Close to the big bus touring bus. Used it for 2 days to get around. Pay park but worth it .

These luxury suites were very nicely appointed and very well maintained. The location cannot be beat. The value is excellent as well. only downside is major construction across the street. It starts early, but I cant blame this hotel for that work. I suggest you bring earplugs or some device for background noise. I was certainly able to deal with it, had a great experience overall

Excellent location, lovely hotel but watch out for the building work across the road!

We went on Spring Break with our 2 kids and wanted a separate bedroom. The layout of the room is great with a separate bedroom, nice bathroom, full kitchen and ample sized living room. The area is a little suspect in that all the buildings surrounding the hotel are condemned, which seems to contribute to mouse problem, and there is a Marriott being built across street (noise from 5am to 8 pm). The noise was an issue especially since they decided to wax the floors of the hotel at 2:30 am- they stopped after we complained. The pullout couch had dirty sheets and mouse droppings in it when we arrived and the pull out couch is very lumpy. The bedroom was comfortable and they had direct tv.

We booked this place because we have 2 kids and like a separate bedroom and kitchen. Positives: Spacious, and good layout. Close to metro Has direct tv Good shower Negatives: A Marriott is right across street and there is constant construction noise. The surrounding buildings are abandoned and boarded up. Little sketchy. The pull out sofa has the lumpiest mattress and was not clean when we checked in. Decent family place but not at all luxurious.

I enjoyed my stay! It feel like my boyfriend & I had our own apartment for a night. :)

Place is good, quality of service is normal

There was a horrible smell on the third floor. Appears to be a low budget hotel.

I can't tell you how disappointing this place was given its cost. When I first arrived there was no space to park in front to check in or unload luggage. No valet or concierge service whatsoever. The front desk was extremely understaffed, though they mostly tried their best. There was a pervasive sewage smell in all the rooms. The rooms on the back half of the building have absolutely no natural light. The hot water went out on me one morning and there were no new towels delivered. While the location is convenient and the rooms are spacious and well appointed, the overall feel was of cheapness and cutting corners.

This hotel could be a great place to stay. However the first thing we noticed was a strange smell, as if a smell was trying to be covered up by an overly strong but equally disagreeable smell. The smell lingered over the 3 days we were there. The kitchen in the room is wonderful and the suite is very roomy and great for families. However, the pull out sofa was horrible. I have a kid that can sleep anywhere and this "bed" even hurt his back. I'm sure at one time it was fine. However the sofa is older and just needs to be replaced. I think the room must have been sprayed for pests right before our check-in. The smell was awful and stayed on our clothes and suitcase even when unpacking at home. As a final note, the hotel is across from a lot of construction. If you're visit includes sleeping in, pass on this hotel until after construction is completed across the street. The queen bed was comfortable and the shower was nice. Luckily we were up early each day and the noise wasn't that big of a problem. If I'd been on a fun couple get-away, I would have really hated the noise. The location is great for walking. If you've found a good rate, I'm sure it's to compensate for the noise. I only hope that smell isn't typical.

The last time I stayed in DC the place was a dump. It was such a relief when I checked into the Eldon suites. The rooms are spacious, clean and have their own kitchens! There's a Safeway just down L street too! The shower is fricken amazing ... I took like 2 showers a day. Only draw backs are the construction across the street. They start at 5am. So if you get a room that faces L st. ask for another cuz its loud. Also the internet was spotty, which would have been fine for just casual surfing but it I had to bust out my mifi to do a demo from my room. All in all a great place to stay and literally 1 block from the convention center.

Seems this Hotel was recently refurbished with modern decor: marble floors, granite countertops, bathroom upgrades and new appliances. However in my opinion, the light wood panelling took away from the mod look, felt ranch-ish. There are no mats nor carpetting and the floor is cold, but they provide slippers (if you are fine with using previously worn but clean, no thanks) and robes. A little disappointed with the Queen bed and no tv in the bedroom.The continental breakfast is not free and NOT worth it but there's a nice little cafe that you can get reasonably priced breakfast around the corner. There's a whole lot of construction being done but luckily I did not hear any noise from my room. Metro is walking distance.

Hotel staff was really nice.

Hotel was right down the street from the convention center. We were there for a vball tournament so perfect with the weird hours we had to keep. A bit worried at first with the boarded up buildings on the way in. Seemed safe enough. Hotel is very modern and nicely decorated. Very close to downtown. Complete kitchen and yes there are not a lot of pots and pans but it works. Bed was great! Had problems with the first room but management fixed it with a smile. Friendly front desk. Breakfast was truly continental ($5 per person) which wasn't good for an athlete although they did have warm hard boiled eggs. Nice cafe around the corner on 10th and to the right was better for us. Construction continues with a wakeup call at 5:30AM--even on Sat. After seeing the boarded up buildings and the construction, stepping into the Eldon was a pleasant surprise!!

This is an excellent place to Stay and the price is really good. Within walking distance to verizon center, convention center, and china town. There is a lot of construction nearby at the moment, but that would not prevent me from staying here again.

Clean, comfy and convenient. Be awarethe that most of surrounding neighborhood is condemned or under renovation, however I felt perfectly safe walking outside alone even at night. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice suite, clean and comfortable. Centrally located close to convention center, Metro, and Dupont Circle, making it easy to get around DC. Bathroom light should have been brighter.

The hotel was very clean. My 2 kids slept in the queen bed, while I slept in the sofa bed. The sofa bed was in poor condition with some of the coils missing, but the remainder of the unit was comfortable. The neigborhood is in the midst of an overhaul. It will be very nice a year from now, but is undergoing (fairly loud) construction now. The cost was extremely reasonable, and the location is great - a 1/2 mile from the Verizon Center and about a mile from the monuments. Would stay again because of price.

This was a beautiful hotel. The service was fine. The problem was there was construction at 5 am immediately across the street. They could have asked me if I wanted a room on the other side of the hotel, or at least advised me that this was going to happen.

This was one of my best experience with a hotel stay.

The suite was laid out very nicely. The hotel staff were friendly, and quick. My only two negative comments, for one the neighborhood surrounding the area right now is getting an overall. So, there are a lot of dilapidated buildings. Second, I wish there were more pots and pans for cooking. Those aside, this is a great place to stay. I really recommend it, very well located near the convention center.

there was construction across the road which meant that our street-facing room was filled with construction noises starting at 5:30am each day. hot water ran out both days after 1 quick shower (so two of us couldn't shower). while the hotel itself is very quaint and the rooms nicely designed and decorated, the noise, lack of hot water and poor service from staff really let us down.

The Eldon is a hidden gem! All my travels to DC had never brought me there. Very nicely done and spacious suites. Only thing missing was an on-site bar for a nightcap!!

Loved the suite. It was very clean, comfortable, and stylish. Convenient to the metro. The only issue was the nearby construction, and it was a mild inconvenience (noisy in the morning). Very walkable to food and drink.

I fell in love with this hotel. It is warm and inviting. The manager Ms Elisa was absolutely wonderful. The front desk clerks are very kind and concerned. I loved everything and I mean everything about this hotel. I was shocked to see the robe and slippers they provide for you but it was thoughtful and beautiful. The bed is plush and comfortable. I will go back again and again!!!!!

Our hotel room was spaceous, clean and very well organized. I will stay here again when I have chance to visit DC again.

Great this is always a good place to stay

Our suite was lovely as indicated by the 5 star ratings for everything. I wish we'd thought to bring breakfast foods to cook in the full service kitchen as we didn't rise early enough for the Eldon's $5 Continental Breakfast. It was nice having a parking lot however, I had to leave my key at the front desk since double parking was the norm. That was only a slight inconvenience. My only real criticism had to do with our room being on the first floor coupled with the inconsideration of other guests who, several times late at night, apparently were congregating in the lobby perhaps waiting for the elevator and being so loud and raucous as to wake us at the other end of the hall. I do not know if there was a night front desk attendant but it would have been nice if he or she would have kept them quiet.

Really loved the suites and building. Great friendly service. Downsides include no restaurant in hotel and transitional n-hood.

Ekldon Luxury Suietes would live up to their name - the rooms are beautiful, well appointed, with lots of nice surprises like a fabulous shower with multiple heads to spray water at you at a many angles, wood walls, tile floors. The big drawback is the neighborhood. There is construction of a new Marriott hotel directly across the street with tremendous noise beginning before 6 am and lasting late into the night. The day I checked in, there was a vacant lot adjacent to the hotel. The next morning the lot was full of portable trailers for the crew. They also now charge for a continental breakfast that is asasfar behind thief competition.

Very nice suites. Any time I need to stay in DC I am staying here.

The neighborhood is not exactly perfect, BUT the hotel is GREAT!! I wish I would have stayed here for my entire visit to DC. Great place if you have to be in the area for a few days. roomy and Kitchen a plus!
