very comfortable stay. liked my room a lot. the gardens were a bit disappointing. nothing like in the pix. the pool and hot spa were closed due to maintenance.

Although the wifi was down, everything else was fine -- clean, spacious, friendly staff. No frills but no frights. Good value choice. Would stay again for my purpose - getting close to my bike race the next day.

While the room was clean and the bed was comfortable, that was about it. There was a tiny TV in the room, no iron, which is important, and coffee was not served until 7:00 am. The people at the front desk were nice, however, I was a little concerned that they had a meter running in regards to the phones in the room. I have not seen this in years in my travels. Lucky for me, I had a cell phone. There was no posting about the phone being extra and no mention of this at the front desk at check in. If I had used the phone unknowingly, I would have been upset.

The hotel was a little hard to find (even with GPS). It was clean, and comfortable. The staff seemed nice. The area was so so for place around to eat. For a one night stay, I would use it again.

The hotel was hidden behind the library and hard to find at night. There was no elevator in our building. The place needs a facelift inside. It was clean enough but very outdated. The lighting in the bathroom was horrible. Not good for putting on makeup or shaving. Two little restaurants close by but when we asked foa breakfast spot were told "The Blue Ben" which was much further away than the other two. It was an OK place to stay.

We were quite pleased with the hotel. They treated us very well and most importantly they accepted our dog and it is a good facility for dogs with large lawns and plenty of places to walk.

Large, quiet room with two double beds on the second floor facing the pool. Rooms were clean, staff was pleasant. Only complaint is that there was no place to get breakfast; only coffee and tea in the office.

no coffee in room, first room we were assigned smelled of mothballs, empty commercial space right in front of hotel, landscaping somewhat neglected

The place was very nice for this sort of small town hotel. We were upgraded as we arrived to a room that was clean and comfortable and had a patio with view of the cute pool with plantings and privacy. We didn't actually use the pool, but it had nice atmosphere. This room on the ground level had a very slight musty odor to it, but was no big deal. At midnight a group of loud girls came home to the room next door. You could hear every word and noise through the connecting door. I'm not sure if all rooms have those connecting doors, but this one did. The noise was definetely just coming through the door and not the walls. the staff was happy to move us to another room (I guess all they can do in these situations- not really their fault ignorant people were next door to us). the new room was on the 2nd floor, and very nice (another free upgrade) No musty smell, higher ceilings, nice decor. It had a very nice mattress (I think better than the one downstairs), sauna in the bath, and very nice balcony that looked over the pool. This one was very quiet, and we slept very well. I like the way the balconies are set up- sort of stagered, so they are private. I would go back again. We were up for a brewery tour in Burlington, and stopped off here for one night. - beer, pottery, museum, a nice restaurant or two. It is a cute town for one night/day. I'm glad we did not stay longer, as we would have been bored in this small little town.

If you can get past the cat spray odor upon entering hallway, I guess you could enjoy. The word gardens did not apply unless they were buried under the weeds. Old carpet, very run down.

Room was perfectly comfortable, unexpectedly large and staff was pleasant. Hotel was very nicely maintained. Beautiful country setting. Nice pool.

I had planned this trip for a romantic getaway with my wife. I carefully reviewed ratings and looked at the pictures in advance. While the exterior shots were accurate, the interior looked nothing at all like what was advertised. The furnishings looked old and run down. The TV looked like it was from the 1980s at least and the wall decor was old-fashioned at best. While I really enjoyed Bennington and the Berkshires, I would have appreciated pictures that accurately depicted the room I was staying in. The unmet expectation may have made this review a bit harsher than it ought to have been. Regarding service, I did call the front desk once about local points of interest and they were unable to answer or look it up for me. Regarding comfort, the bed was allright but had only a flat sheet instead of a fitted sheet on it.

I thought every room had a patio and a direct door to the pool. The room that was book for us through this service had neither. We asked to upgrade and it was a huge hassell for us and the owner involving having to call this service and speak at length with a customer svc rep. I felt a bit mislead by the ratings of precious posters. The hotel owners and staff were very nice, but the quality for the price was not what I expected.

The room had a very bad smell, like mold. Someone had sprayed some type of air freshener but that just added to the unpleasant smell. The room was quite large and the bathroom was clean. Maybe a wet carpet that wasn't properly cared for? I would not stay there again~

Went here for a motorcycle event that is centered around the Paradise Inn in June. It's all about location, being in Bennington and across the street from Hemmings Motor News.

The pool was scenic and relaxing and beautifully landscaped. Complimentary coffee was of good quality. View from room window was of the pool and vegetation and most pleasant. Value of room in terms of accommodations and rate was attractive and fair.

It was convenient in that it was in the heart of downtown Bennington. Bed sheets were ill fitted however and had the feel of the average motel room. Served it's purpose as a place to sleep, but overall, not impressive or noteworthy.

The hotel was convenient for what I needed. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and the wifi worked. Priceless!

I thought in this little town it would be just an okay motel. I was happily mistaken. It was as nice as the top named hotels I have been in,

Arrangement of rooms in deluxe Junior Suite was unsatisfactory. Person staying in sitting room with murphy bed had to walk through other bedroom to get to bathroom. Heaters in both rooms were extremely noisy when running.

Very clean and spacious rooms.

This is a lovely place, especially in warm weather, but there are a few things you should know. There is no Internet in the rooms unless you book some of their more expensive rooms. But you can get it in the office, and that space is comfortably furnished. The room tv's are ancient, and there are no premium channels ( HBO, etc.). You may have to leave your building to get ice, since this resort is made up of a number of separate buildings. You have to go to the office for refrigerator or microwave. But if you are looking for a nice place without these amenities, this is a good choice.

Our one-night stay in early October was pleasant. The rooms were equipped as expected and everything worked. However, communication between Expedia and the hotel must have had a problem since our specific requests made when booking by telephone were not what the hotel had been told. They still gave us what we had wanted. We know from experience that you can have less comfort for the same or even higher rates in that town, so we were happy with our choice.

The inn served our needs pretty well. The nearby cafe sold lovely homemade breakfast and lunch items, and specialty coffees and teas. It would be nice if the hotel had its own small cafe attached.

We stayed for a night and it was clean. No complaints. You get what you pay for.

One word terrible. The whole place smelled bad. Furniture was from 1959. Shower, the paint was coming off the floor. I,m sure for the money you can do much better!!!

Hotel was conveniently located and off the main road so noise was not a problem unlike many other hotels on all the main roads. Rooms were spacious and clean, although run down. No blow dryers in the room so pack one! Close to Bennington College and anything else in the area. Front desk staff were very pleasant. Towels were small and worn. For basic needs, it worked well and I will stay there again.

Clean and tidy hotel, lovely large room which was very clean, huge comfy bed. The bathroom was on the small side but again very clean and functional. The hotel staff were all very helpful with recommendations on places to eat and had a lovely nights sleep. Only small grumble was the wifi didnt work in our room but the lady on reception did warn it may not and suggested we could use it in reception area where there were sofas. all in all would most definatley stay there again and recommend too. great value.

Its your basic motel type place. Think something along the lines of a motel 6 or something. Definitely nothing fancy as far as the rooms go. One of the lamps didn't work. The hotel has numerous amenities, such as tennis and a pool as well as a fitness center. Having these things at a relatively small and certainly not fancy hotel was a nice surprise and elevates their status in my opinion. It's not luxury but if you are only sleeping there it is more than adequate. One minor thing I might bring up was that our room looked out on the tennis courts and some people apparently needed to get an early start on their tennis. Tennis is not a fun game to listen to, especially when you are trying to sleep. Other than that, everything was fine and the hotel was as well. I may not recommend it if you are planning on spending all day in the room but if you aren't, it'll likely work out just fine. Plus you can lounge by the pool if you would like. And it is within maybe 10-15 minutes from the main downtown section of Bennington.

The Inn was clean and the service was very good. A few more ammenities in the room would have been nice, ie. coffee maker, bathroom ceiling fan, additional electrical outlets in the room for cell phone chargers, etc. Room was small, but comfortable.

The hotel room was musky smelling, the hotel room was old and out dated, the shower pan had been painted and the paint was chipping off, the pool area was very nice, the area is off the road and quite, overall The hotel was an older hotel that had not been maintained or updated.

very nice location, pool and outdoor area relaxing furnishings and decor slightly dated, but very good value for price paid

My boyfriend’s best friends’ own a restaurant on Main St. so we wanted to be close to that area. Normally we stay at a beautiful B&B a few miles away from Main St. but we decided to try a closer place so we could have the option of walking home, and in addition the price at the Paradise Inn was about a third less per night. Overall—not worth the switch! - We reserved a room with a king sized bed and were given a room with two small beds instead - The person at the front desk was not friendly—seemed like she didn’t want to be bothered - When we woke up we noticed a big bug crawling along the wall of the room - We asked for a few minutes extension on the check-out time (11am) because we woke up a little late. We were told that it was "impossible." I could understand a conflict if it were a smaller place where they needed ample time to get in and prepare the room for the next guest but this was a big hotel with two buildings and LOTS of rooms on each floor. I really doubt that the cleaning person was in a hurry to clean our room next, especially since the check-in time is 3pm. If you’re main goal is a cheap place to sleep walking distance from Main St. then this place might be OK. But if you are looking for a clean and comfortable place…I'd keep looking.

Super Hotel mit grosser Gartenanlage.

Die Zimmervermietung einfachster Art liegt in einer eher wenig gepflegt wirkenden Gegend zwischen der Innenstadt und dem Monumenthügel, in zweiter Reihe hinter einem wohl schon länger geschlossenen weiteren Etablissement. Die ganze Anlage wirkte, obwohl (nach der Zahl der geparkten Autos zu schließen) zwar einigermaßen belegt, dennoch irgendwie "verlassen". Außer dem Rezeptionisten war kein weiteres Personal auszumachen. Sensible Gemüter kann angesichts der Lage, gräulichen Farbgebung, Athmosphäre in den Fluren und undefinierbaren Gerüchen schon mal ein mulmiges Gefühl beschleichen. Wir waren froh, als die Nacht vorbei war. Zu ähnlichen Preisen haben wir auf unserer Rundfahrt durch New England wesentlich einladender wirkende Inn-Ketten besucht. Robustere Naturen als wir es sind, hätte das alles wohl nicht gestört, "harte" Gründe für eine Reklamation gab es für uns keine.
