Very friendly staff!

When I stay at a hotel one of the most important things is the shower. There was poor water pressure and the water was not hot enough for my standards. Tried to use the hot tub as well, it was only Luke warm. Other than that the room was clean and the staff was helpful an polite.

Enjoyed our stay and we will include this hotel in our next travel

We were disappointed with or stay. We usually like the holiday inn express so we decided to book with them since they had an indoor pool. The pool was freezing and the hot tub did not work. The pool and hot tub were green and disgusting. The pull out couch did not have linens so we had to go downstairs ourselves to get linens. The tub stopper did not work in our room. The breakfast and coffee were cold. We did express or disappointment and received only an apology. We spent good money and ended up very disappointed.

I was impressed with the three gals working at the desk. It was after 1:30 a.m. and they were impeccable in appearance, respectful and professional. Everything was going well till I got to our room. I pulled out the sofa bed and the sheets were never changed, the clean sheets were wrapped in a ball in what appeared to be an uncleaned blanket and there were no pillows. When I called the front desk I asked if someone could come and make the bed. Instead they offered to change me to another room upstairs, but because my husband was already taking a shower that wouldn't work for us. Nothing else was offered. A gal from the front desk later came to our room apologized and brought me more clean sheets, a blanket and two pillows. She offered to bring us more pillows if we would like more and so she did. I made the bed. When using the bathroom it was obvious the bathroom was not cleaned either and it wasn't because my husband used the shower. I instructed my grandchildren and my husband to be sure to put paper on the toilet seat before using it just in case. Through out the night I couldn't help but wondered what else had not been cleaned. If we, our two grandchildren 7 and 12 and my husband and I, weren't so tired from 9 hours of driving we would have changed rooms, but we were just so exhausted from our trip all we wanted to do was get to sleep. Would I come back to this hotel, no.

This hotel is extremely nice! The service is amazing. When we arrived after a long drive, the lady at the front desk gave us names and numbers to local food delivery spots so that we wouldn't have to leave. The breakfast that they serve is hot and delicious. We have stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in various locations and they all have been 5 star!

We were very comfortable with our stay and enjoyed the breakfast very much.

Staff friendly, fair pricing, convenient location. Newer property still has operational issues. Not all doors worked, pool heater turned off, bed not assembled properly.

It was absolutely horrible. We were in room 402 and the individuals that were in room 400 - I had to call and complain 4-5 times to the front desk. I repeatedly was asked if I was a club member which I felt that it should not matter whether I went thru hotels.com or the hotel itself on the service and ability to get rest. Which I got NONE. Will not be going to that hotel again.

It was kinda hard to find and away from everything. There is one right behind the mall that is a Holiday Inn and just as nice.

The rooms here are huge! It may have been because we had a handicapped room, though. Very nice place for travelers, right off the interstate, good breakfast.

We had a suite and were VERY pleased with the amount of space and items available in the room!

Bed wasn't comfy

I was disappointed to have to take a lukewarm bath. The bath water would not get hot. After my bath, my daughter took a cold bath. The staff was friendly and the hotel was nice and clean, but not enough hot water. I will not stay there again.

Friendly staff , clean rooms. overall it was a good experience

The hotel and staff were amazing. Don't book with hotels.com though. Said we were getting a suit and ended up not being in one....

I love this holiday inn at texarkana TX. The manager is very nice and decent person. She showed her best service to us since we have a little boy. The lady who service in the morning at breakfast area also did the fantastic services for us. I love it that's why I always like stay at holiday inn. The best place to family and business. BTW, we stay on 12/27/2011 for Christmas.

Newer hotel, very clean and comfortable. Indoor pool was nice size for recreational swim. Only drawback was getting back in the car to find a place to eat dinner, but the breakfast was good and easy. Easy on and off the highway too. Would stay again over other hotels in the area.

I booked this hotel for my boss while in town for business. Her comment to me was this place is "wonderful". Coming from her - it absolutely has to be true! I am keeping this hotel on my list of hotels for her to stay in when she travels for business. Thank you, Holiday Inn Express-Texarkana for taking care of her so well.

Very nice hotel room. Clean and modern, with a nice breakfast offering for free. Only complaint was that the shower water was only lukewarm; probably an isolated situation. Also road construction makes entering the hotel after dark a bit confusing.

Hotel was beautiful and new. The girl that checked us in was very helpful. We had a little problem with our key card not being programed correctly, but they fixed that quickly. It was very easy to find a place to eat dinner close by and there were plenty of choices around. We did have to call and ask for full size towels for the bathroom; however, they brought those up tot he room. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff very helpful in getting anything we needed. We would stay here again.

The hotel was very comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The only negative about it is the confusing road work going on. The rooms are quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was very fresh and well attended to by staff. Once the road work is cleared up this will be a perfect place to stay. Lots of restaurants and shopping nearby and right off the freeway.

Brand new. Very clean with nice hot breakfast. Free WiFi too.

We stayed one night in May 2011 and were very comfortable. Its a very short drive to restaurants and shopping (limited shopping in Texarkana but still close to it). Check in was smooth and the lady who works the breakfast area was friendly and helpful! Will stay again if in the area.

This hotel is in a very new area so there is a LOT of road construction and very little signage. The hotel itself was good, very nice and new. Breakfast buffett had a good selection, but the eggs were cold. Room was roomy and clean. We were disappointed in the pool. Travelling with our daughter, that was the first stop. We checked it out upon arriving and hurried upstairs so she could change and get a little swimming in since we had travelled all day.We returned less than 10 minutes later to a sign on the door that the pool would be closed for the next two days. HUGE disappointement. Also it was very inconvenient getting back and forth to a restaurant for dinner.

Seemed to be a relatively new hotel. Smelled new. Friendly staff. Decent sized room with sitting area. Extra blankets and pillows already in room. Shower was clean and had decent water pressure. Continental breakfast was decent. Only negative was indoor pool. Strange, yellow color in the water. Definitely didn't swim in it.

Hard to beat a HIE to help break up a long trip.

Not much to do at this hotel but it was great for an overnight stay. Pool and hot tub were nice, rooms have plenty of room and are well decorated. Free internet access was a nice perk.

This recently opened Holiday Inn Express was clean, comfortable and staffed with helpful and courteous employees. The rooms were well furnished and the breakfast was always well stocked. The pool and hot tub were wonderful amenities to enjoy at the end of a long work day.

This hotel was recently built. It smelled new and looked new. The room was spacious enough and clean. The staff was courteous. I prefer hotels with pools for leisurely swim. This pool is a salt water pool and the hot tub was chlorinated. I wish there were more pool towels though because if there are a lot of guests there and I didn't bring my own - no towel for me. They also have a fitness center. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, biscuit and gravy, sausage, bacon, yogurt, cereal - not all at once though and it varied day to day. Hotel was not terribly hard to get to since it was along the interstate but we definitely had to pay attention as there is ongoing construction.

Everything was fine at this hotel. We liked everything from check in to check out.
