Nice Location nice new bartender overall good hotel and looked newer than a lot of south beach hotel wacth the snack bar sneaky charges

The immediate impression of the hotel is that it's very seedy looking (although many of the miami beach hotels give this impression). There is a bar immediately when you walk in. It might be fine if you're there for college spring break, but I was there for a conference. Although clean and with some new fixtures around the room and bathroom, the room is overall very small with an old, with a "cheap" feel to it. I ended up switching to a different hotel because 1) the room was too small, 2) the beds were too low -- they're barely more than a mattress on the floor, 3) the mattresses were uncomfortable, 4) the bathroom was too small with a small standing shower (no bathtub), 5) the room was very dark and the lighting very harsh, 6) if you opened the shades to let in more light, you looked out on a parking lot where it was very easy to see right in, 7) the safe was semi-broken (only 5 out of 9 numbers worked), 8) the shower was broken (couldn't switch to the main shower head, was stuck on the handheld head. To the hotel's credit, they were very nice and the manager very accommodating when I wanted to switch.

The hotel is well located for visiting many attractions at South Miami. The hotel does not have any elevator. Rooms are not good. I will not advise anyone to choose this hotel.

If you are looking for a small, clean, friendly Art Deco hotel one block back from Ocean Drive hotels, paying a fraction of their prices, this is the place for you. We spent two wonderful days at The Clifton Hotel and must say the staff went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable, guiding us to all the best places to see and in which restaurants to eat. The Manager in charge, Michelle, was particularly helpful, thanks to her we would certainly go back.

The rooms are nasty. The bedding was dirty and walls of the rooms were unclean. At one point they were switching our bed sheets because of hair, burn holes, and stains. We watched the guy put on 4 different sheets and take them back off before he found one set that was actually useable. He was even shaking his head in disbelief!

I enjoyed myself can't complain except you guys have no breakfast lunch or dinner :(

The Clifton Hotel was an A+, great staff, clean room, great location, awesome pricing and easy check-in/check-out. I would stay again and recommend. This was a awesome experience!

While I like the idea of a carbon neutral footprint hotel, it wasn't the best experience. The bed is quite uncomfortable, shower pressure was quite nice. The lighting is horrible, very dim no matter the area in the room. Beach towels are provided which is a big plus. BIG downfalls are (1) walls are paper thin. Always heard our neighbors and when the bar was open Sat night, heard ALL the music and people til late! (2) there are FEES not paid for thru hotels.com and no it was not because of using the mini bar. According to the bill it was a resort fee + state and local taxes PER day! For 4 days an extra $60. Wasn't expecting it at all. The hotel is ok if you just need a bed but I'm sure there are better places.

The staff was extremely welcoming and accomodating. They always greeted us with a genuine smile and hello. I would def stay here again and am in fact looking to book another trip in the near future. The location is perfect. 1 block from south beach.

I paid for three nights upfront. When I got here they asked for my credit card and charged a big deposit without saying that was what they were going to do. When I said I was not happy they said well it will take ten days to get it back. No apology. Next issue was you pay this type of money and they don't even offer coffee. No breakfast. Then I get a blanket out of the cabinet and some used person lubricant falls out of it. So I have no idea if anything has been cleaned! The next morning I am trying to get ready for a convention and my hairdryer is not working. I go to the front desk and tell them, ask for another and the attendant said I don't have one. I also show him the lubricant and he throws it away and doesn't even apologize nor act like there was anything wrong with finding it left in a blanket! I told him I need a hairdryer to get ready and he said "I don't have one, and there is nothing I can do about it". Again no apology. I had to get angry and tell him he needed to contact a sister hotel and get one ASAP. He finally did. When I said I can't believe I have not even received an apology, he said you will have to contact the manager. There is no pool, no coffee, no continental breakfast. Nothing that would give this hotel a reason to ask so much for a night besides being one block from the beach. I will never stay here again and I highly recommend someone look elsewhere to stay.

The very thin walls were the problem here. The reviews mentioned this, but I chose to ignore them.light conversations and Tv from next door were as if you were in their room. When they moved out, maid didnt turn off their alarm clock so it rang all night.Mini bar was unstocked, and filthy, when I went to store some milk. I was upset to find out on check out that I needed tob pay an extra $13 a night for a 'resort fee' even though Hotels .com had it tiny writing way down their page. Very sneaky. Should not be allowed, as I admit I chose it on price above other considerations. Hotel said that was for their facilities, like coffee maker and minibar! Isnt that what the room price covers anyway? Front desk staff didn't let me know I was entitled to use pool or fitness room at the Carlton, so I trailed round trying to find a gym else where. However the main fixed weight equipment was broken anyway.

Guest service is rude and not helpful. Rooms had bad odors and very small. Loud people in hallways all time of the night!

The hotel is recently renovated. The rooms are the size of large closets. My view was onto an alley. The desk was 18" wide, the "chair" a stool--no back. The Wi-Fi did not work in the room-- a dead spot in the hotel. I was there on a business trip--a disaster to work in the room. If you are going to the beach all day, perhaps it is fine.

After you arrive at this hotel they require you to pay more. The require you to pay a non-optional resort fee. Therefore, the price on this website is a lie.

I wish they would have at least had ESPN but it wasn't that big of a deal.

Is the worst experience I ever had with a reservation.Never ever I will make a reservation at this hotel. The service, front desk, is horrendous. Never recommend this.

The hotel staf was very nice and helpful. Hotel has been redone and looks nice. Rooms are very clean with great showers. The only down side to us was the bar in the lobby hosts a pre club party 4 nights a week. And it gets loud. If you are there to party and go clubbing this is a great hotel to stay at. If you want a good night's sleep be sure and request a room at the back.

More than adequate but not luxury. Small room but clean and comfortable. Couls hear other guests but it didn't keep us awake. Great location 1 block from the beach, great restaurants and shopping in the area. Taxi fare to the port $35, no shuttle.

Cute hotel, great location. No pool on site but 5 minute walk to the ocean. We were able to get a good night sleep too. My main complaint is the valet!! Took at least 1 hour to get the car! (Good thing we didn't have a flight to catch) The receptionist was helpful and kept calling him. She did refund the valet fee when we asked. Receptionist when we checked in was helpful and friendly too.

Hotel has a great location at the heart of the Miami Beach Art Deco district and night life, but it can be very noisy at night and parking is virtually impossible except for expensive valet parking. Rooms are neat and adequate, but somewhat small, and there's no elevator to the second floor. Hotel bar, at least, appears to cater to a young party crowd. But it is close (easy walking distance) from everything from the beach to the new Frank Gehry concert hall on Lincoln Road.

es un lugar ideal, donde el valor por noche, por la ubicacion es justo. Algunos detalles por el proceso de remodelacion pero en general muy practico para tener un lugar donde llegar a dormir despues de un dia de playa o una noche de fiesta. Habitaciones y baños limpios y al parecer recien remodelados, al menos en el area que yo me quedé.

Vi lå der i en natt med 4 unger. Ikke å anbefale. Hele hotellet stinket parfyme. Vi fikk ikke sove før rundt 2 på natta grunnet nabodamene som kranglet. Ble vekt av at de begynte og krangle igjen kl 6. Veldig lugubert hotell. Tvilsomt klientell. Ville ikke sovet der uten unger heller.

Ett helt Ok hotell med ok priser och ett perfekt läge. Hotellet ligger på Collins Ave, två gator bakom Ocean Drive. Så läget kan inte bli bättre. Rummen är rena och moderna, stor Tv modern AC osv. Kanske kan sängarna tyckas låga om man har problem med rörligheten, dom är nämligen i stort sett bara madrasshöga. Rummen kan också upplevas som små om man ska göra annat än sova där. Hotellet saknar dock såna tjänster som business center, pool odyl, för detta hänvisas man till deras syster hotell en bit bort. Parkering kan vara et problem i South Beach, men det här hotellet ligger precis vid ett parkeringshus.

Som helhet ett väldigt prisvärt allternativ trots små rum, nära till härlig strand och mysiga resturanger i de gamla art deco kvarteren, den stora besvikelsen var Ocean Drive.

Cuando llegas al hotel lo vez chico, pero cuando entras es enorme. Cuenta con habitaciones totalmente renovadas a nuevas y super confortables y lindas. Dentro de la tarifa esta incluida una botella de agua mineral por pasajero, toallas para la playa o bien la pileta que se encuentra en otro hotel dentro de su cadena hotelera, y la confirmacion de tu vuelo en caso de viajar al dia siguiente. En la esquina tenes un garage pago por U$S 20 por dia cerrado con vigilancia las 24 hs. El personal del hotel sumamente agradable y dedicado a cualquier inconveniente que tengas. Esta a 1 cuadra de la playa y de la Ocean Drive y a 4 de la Lincoln Rd. Contas con varias tiendas comerciales y la ubicacion es ideal para hacer todo a pie. Realmente 100% recomendable

Nous venons de passer une semaine de vacances à l'hotel Clifton et nous en sommes satisfaits. L'hôtel est très bien situé (à 2 pas de Ocean Drive, des restaurants et bars), il est facile d'accès (le service de voiturier est un peu cher mais très bien et l'hôtel est très bien desservi par le bus), la chambre était un peu petite mais très propre(ménage fait tous les jours), vue sur le parking. La chambre était un peu juste pour 2 adultes et un jeune enfant, elle était un peu sombre et il manquait quelques ampoules aux lampes. C'était un peu bruyant le week end. C'est un bon rapport qualité/prix

Cet hôtel à South Beach est très proche de la plage. La chambre agréable et bien agencée, salle de bain impeccable. Seul petit défaut : la connexion wi-fi pas tout le temps au mieux, mais pas trop grave non plus.

J'avais choisi cet hotel pour ses charmantes photos mais ne vous y fiez pas, c'est nul ! La moquette n'a pas du être lavée depuis des lustres, nous avions les pieds sales. J'ai lu qu'il y avait des bedbugs dans la literie et je dois dire que j'ai eu du mal à dormir. Il vous font signer un contrat avec des surplus.. éventuels mais un 12$ obligatoire.. ce prix est hallucinant si on pense que l'eau est chaude, la piscine pas sur place, l'internet comme partout. Seul l'emplacement sauve un peu la situation. Par ailleurs l'acceuil est froid et le personnel s'énerve vite, ce qui n'est pas le cas ailleurs. Cette rue est truffée d'hotel, vous pouvez trouver mieux pour moins cher !
