Very nice three days. Receptionist, Diane, spoke perfect English. Food in the restaurant in the AM was very good and reasonably priced. Room was quiet and clean. Maid service daily was exceptional. WiFi & A/C great

This room was far nicer than we expected. The bed and pillows very very comfortable, sheets were nice. Bathroom and shower were beautiful. Free WiFi was a plus! Lots of steps. You do have to ask for hangers and a blow dryer. Great for the price. Cab to the airport was about $25.

No microwave,fridge,coffee machine,hair dryer,bath tub & locker not working. Receptionists:one in the mng shift doesn't speak or understand English he uses google translate to communicate,eve shift girl speaks little bit but very rude; she has "NO" for everything even without understanding what was requested. Third one of night shift (23:00-7:00) speaks v good English and is very helpful. Manager is not supportive too. Everybody including manager but except one at night kept on lying that they don't have access to kitchen of the restaurant to heat the bottle of milk for baby.My baby kept on crying for 2 days after 3 pm till 7 am but they didn't care at all but lied again and again but they use microwave to heat their eatables. Room service doesn't clean the room if you are inside. Receptionist after 3 pm said you must go out if you want your room to be cleaned. I asked why. She replied, "I don't know but you must go out".AN EXTREMELY RUDE LADY. Locker is out of order. They even didn't say it is not working. Toilet is often dirty but room service doesn't like to come immediately to clean. Wash basin is round that spills water on the floor. I regretted staying in Hotel Suite Gaby.My vacation spoiled.Will never ever stay here again and will also not recommend this hotel to any body.

Suites Gaby is a great hotel, especially for the price. The room was much nicer than I expected. It's very simple, but very clean, modern, and nice. The bathroom was in great shape and the shower was lovely with a very soothing shower head. The staff was very nice and accommodating and the breakfast was very good as well (not included in the price of the room). There are actually shops and restaurants to walk to around the hotel, and it's a short walk to the ADO bus station. Great place for travelers that aren't looking for the Hotel Zone, all-inclusive Cancun.

The staff and the manager were very friendly. the room was spacious and clean. internet connection was spotty and had to be in the lobby to ensure a good connection. Also there was an issue with noise as you could hear noise coming out of the lobby throughout the night.

This place has the best value. Rooms were spotless and well kept. The only draw back is the neighborhood. Would not go out at night unless in a group or with a man. Great for a place to shower and sleep then go to Cancun hotel zone to hang out. A ten minute drive to Cancun's hotel zone! Would not hang out in this area by myself. Other than that would stay here again!

Room is small but Clean, located in downtown, host is nice and friendly

There on business, have stayed there in the past. Rooms are a bit small but very clean and loved the wifi access in the room. Free parking was also a plus. Great restaurant down the street, 100% Natural and easy access to mercado 28. Would stay there again.

The room are not sooooo big but good enough ! Clean.Cozy and nice people working at. Just 3 block from the main bus stop that take you to the airport or other places in Mexico ...and i like that !

Nice and cheap, friendly staff, right next to Market 28 in Downtown Cancun.

This is a NO FRILLS hotel. That being said, Suites Gaby is a very clean, basic, no nonsense hotel. You get two beds, nightstand, TV and towels. That's it. No soach, shampoo, wash cloth. The room is extremely clean. There is no elevator, so you have to drag your luggage up the flights of stairs to your room. Within walking distance of WalMart and other convenience stores and restaurants. As I said earlier, it is great for a layover. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is very clean and the service was great. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed. In US you would pay at least 3 times per night to have the same quality and service.

Suites Gaby has nice convenient location with Walmart and ADO Bus ... Very clean room but they need to put refrigerator in each room ...!!!

No internet service although advertised as such.smelled like cigarette smoke, wet paint and paint smell.rough neighborhood, nite desk clerk unfriendly and unhelpful.

The only thing I missed is a lamp by the bed(first time that I saw hotel without it), except that everything was great.

Room was very clean. They decorated toilet nicely. Right next to Mercado 28. The only thing is that the AC never cooled off. It cost $200 pesos to get a taxi to get to the airport, which was great. 25min to the airport. Very reasonable price. Would definately stay here again. Wireless available only in the lobby

We stayed I cancun for 8 days. For one week we stayed at OMNI hotel . And one day at gaby. Vet nice location and you really feel that you are in Mexico. Would have wanted to stay longer there as there were many restaurants around to try. The room The only thing is that they did not have Internet and also receptionist does not speak english.

We were two couples coming to Cancun prior to our stay in Playa Del Carmen. We needed a hotel in Cancun for the night. We read the reviews on Hotels.com, and that is why we chose Suites Gaby. It was just as advertised. Very clean. Very friendly staff. And there was no extra fees whatsoever. Added plus was Mercado 28 across the street, so we had very good food at a reasonable price and the ladies got to shop for some souvenirs. Not a 5 star, but certainly a good place to stay overnight.

the hotel was nice for the price, the bug spray guy was little offputting but better that than bugs. room was clean and comfy. We felt a little too far away from things but buses seem to run quite late.

Rooms were very clean but small. There is no elevator making it difficult to carry luggage to room. Amenities appeared to be new as if the room had been recently refurbished. Service was good arranging for cab to airport in early morning. The hotel is very near a large market place for tourist shopping with many restaurants serving local and Mayan dishes.

Fantastically priced hotel if you're a traveller on a budget or just passing through Cancun. I wouldn't recommend for a full holiday, but definitely ticks all the boxes for a short stay. And can't beat free wifi in the room!

So many wonderful things to say but I simply don't have time. In brief, highlights were: daytime customer service, convenient "downtown" location, and room cleanliness. Lows: Hotel walls seemed a bit thin permitting me to hear my neighbor's loud tv. Also you can skip the adjacent restaurant for cheaper, better quality food in surrounding community.

Stayed at Gaby Suites for one short night. Room was clean, modern, and small. No lift, which wasn't a problem for me. Asked for a wakeup at 3:30am which was delivered on time. Had their driver reserved to take me to the airport at 4:30 and he was on time. Problem free stay. Mercado 28, the king of souveneers, was a half block away.

Clean, Friendly

Very comfy beds and pillows, but a lot of the rooms are internal and so don't have a window looking out. the location is ok - the main downtown street is 2 blocks away. It isn't close to the beach. In future, I would stay in the Hotel Zone or go straight to Playa del Carmen, rather than staying in downtown Cancun at all. The wifi in the hotel wasn't great - it didn't really reach the room on the 1st floor. Very few beds and tv and bathroom though.

What a pleasant surprise. Great room, comfy bed, lovely 'raindrop' shower, all round it was ideal. Not in the hotel zone, but there are lovely little authentic restaurants nearby and a massive flea market across the road. Perfect for us and highly recommend.

Suites Gaby is a no-frills hotel. We liked the location in the heart of the city, a block from Mercado 28 (touristy shopping and restaurants) and close enough to walk to the ADO bus station and Commercial Mexicana (if you get good directions). Also, 100% Natural restaurant is just down the street. Hotel is safe, one of the fellows on the front desk speaks good English, and everything worked. Room fixtures are update, but there were no pictures or accessories to give the place charm. That could be changed. No kitchenette, which we would have needed if we were staying longer.

I would stay again. Safe and clean, very close to shopping and the bus station.

I stayed here for a night because I was due to check into my 5 star resort the next day. The rooms are small but perfect for a night. Probably to small to spend a whole trip there but if you are looking for a place to just crash this one is nice. The location is OK, a little sketchy for my taste, but you can catch the bus from right outside the hotel to visit punta cancun or walmart for 9 pesos.

I only stayed one night at Suites Gaby. The rooms are very nice, and very quiet to the street. but the doors to the rooms are thin. Staff were great. The location was close to everything I needed: walmart for last minute supplies, bus station for arriving from airport by ado shuttle and departing from cancun to belize, perfect. lots of pubs and bars and restaurants and mercado 28, a big tourist shopping center. it's all there.

Its not in the hotel zone or walking distance to the beach...but a ten minute walk gets you to frequent busses to the hotel zone night and day...only 8 pesos. About 15 min walk to ADO busses to Playa del Carmen and Tulum. Less than $5 cab fare to ferry terminal for Isla Mujeres. The hotel has wifi in the lobby, in their cafe, and it's a short distance to %100 Natural which has great food and free wifi. The neighborhood isn't fancy, but is friendly and safe. Hotel staff helpful with transportation.

It was really a nightmare for us. The room is extremely small: only one small bed ,even can not put a cabinet beside the bed.The window of our room faces the corridor. it is very dark and there is strong bad smell in the room. only one dirty tower prepared for us. the worst thing we can not bear is that the curtain is smaller than the window and just outside the window there are several 100w lights which make us feel it is 10am outside when waked up 4 times during one night . I went to reception desk to beg them turn off the light at 4 am . they refused because some guests would arrive late. Moreover, there is no possibility for breakfast. By luck, it was the only one awful hotel we lived in our 2 weeks holiday in Yucatan area!

It was clean, comfortable, walking distance to restaurants and busses. The wifi worked well in the lobby. I got a good price with hotels.com and have no complaints. I felt comfortable walking to restaurants in the evening. The area is not glitzy and upscale like the hotel zone, but it does seem safe, and is very close to mercado 28. The staff were very helpful with everything, including taxis to the airport. I ended up extending my stay there, and took day trips to the Hotel Zone, Playa del Carmen, and other places easily accessible by bus.

This is an economical place to stay in downtown Cancun, prices are reasonable even during the year-end holidays. Rooms are clean and location is close to Mercado 28, about 10 minutes walk to Avenida Tulum. As many reviewers mentioned before, the drawbacks are no elevator and wi-fi only in the lobby. Other than that, it was a perfect stay. Paola the evening receptionist was particularly nice and very helpful in answering our questions.
