TownePlace Suites by Marriott Winchester - ווינצ'סטר

We were pleased overall but found some things that could have made our stay better. The microwave in our suite did not work and when we called to report it we were told it would be fixed the next morning and it was never fixed nor was it mentioned again.

Rooms are small but more than adequate. Was surprised and very pleased by how clean everything was. Lot of surrounding options...food, gas, atm...would definitely stay again if traveling to that area.

Well kept hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Breakfast was served Waffles were great and the coffee was hot. Rooms were clean and great water pressure. Would stay at this hotel again.

We stayed in a two bedroom suite - it was super comfortable and clean. It's in a bit of a strange location - behind a shopping plaza, but it's right off of the 81 so it's extremely convenient. We stayed on a Friday night, and it was very quiet.

We got to the hotel and started settling in until someone had to use the toilet and it wouldn't flush. The hotel had no maintenance on duty until the next morning they said. So we had to pack everything back up and move to another floor. We had no compensation for this happening. The manager said there was nothing she could do about getting us a break in price off the room.

Our stay was wonderful. We had a great time, there are restaurants of all kinds. A groceries store next door. The suite had a small kitchen that we m used. Great place and good way to save money. Plan to stay there again in the future.

This was a very nice room, certain things were unexplained thought. I had to call front office to find ice machine, and did not tell us when breakfast was served and stopped.

Will definitely book again when traveling this route!!!!!

Clean, well decorated room, comfortable bed, stayed on our way to the Wyndam Smokey Mountain Resort., Lots of restaurants close by, great staff and extremely helpful. Had to call desk re missing battery in remote.....someone was there in a matter of minutes. great service

Having the amenities of a fully functional kitchen was a strong plus - especially for a studio room. The only factors that reduced my ratings from being the highest were minor: the TV channel listing did not correspond to the actual channel line-up and (since the hotel does not provide lunch or dinner) my choice of a close restaurant in the adjacent shopping center was not the best of experiences. The bottom line: I would definitely stay here again!

Whoever designed these new TownPlace Suites apparently has never stayed in a hotel before. The layout is consistently strange. Who designs a new hotel with a single door for a main entrance, and the door isn't even automatic? That's always lots of fun when walking in with suitcases. Just an awful design. But overall it's hard to complain. Great value, clean room, and about the softest bed you could ever imagine. Would definitely stay here again.

We've stayed here twice. Both times, the staff has been friendly & accommodating. The room was really nice. Continental Breakfast was a pleasant surprise. Thanks for your hospitality!

We really enjoyed our stay. The staff was very friendly, the rooms comfortable and clean, and the location was great! We will stay there again!

2nd floor smells like smoke and dogs. Room had no smell. Front desk helpful and friendly. Pool clean but slightly crowded on a 'NO VACANCY' night.

Visited during worst storm and was impressed with the service.

We have stayed at this hotel several times, its the perfect halfway point on our drive from SC to CT. Always very clean and love that the suites have separate bedrooms, our 5 year old gets his own bedroom and we get to sleep! Breakfast is good too.

Most hotel rooms are the same train car these days -- one (sometimes 2) beds, a dresser, a TV, the bathroom on one end next to the door, the window on the other end. But here you get a separate entrance for the bathroom because just inside the door is a small, fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher. The room also has a small sofa. We brought our two dogs -- yes, those of you who are pooch avoidant will want to check out another hotel -- and we were all very comfortable especially since the hotel provides plastic dog waste bags and there's plenty of space for walking. The front desk was fine, the breakfast was typical (not heart healthy, but it is what it is) and the room was spotless. We'll be back.

When I saw the hotel, I was surprised by how ugly it was on the outside and how odd to see the swimming pool on the front of the hotel, right by the parking lot! Once inside, the decor was not the most attractive, but the hotel boasted friendly front desk staff, housekeepers, and a decent continental breakfast in the mornings. The room sported a large fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, kitchen sink, and a range, complete with dish detergent, silverware and plates. The hotel was also located right next to a large shopping center with a Martins grocery store, a Starbucks and several restaurants and stores. We walked around in the shopping center and grabbed groceries at the 24 hour Martins. Definitely work the extra few dollars over a budget motel!

Our two-bedroom suite was filthy when we arrived sowe had the staff clean the room again and change all the sheets. The hotel was fully booked so we could not change rooms. In addition, the floors were stained, the walls were chipped and marked-up, and the artwork was remioed form the walls. Apparently, the room was restored and renovated when the hotel experienced water damage from frozen pipes, but it still looked like crap. The manager was great, she gave us a free night and apologized and offered explanations, but still the hotel was crap. They were clearly under-staffed, too.

My boyfriend and I stayed at TownePlace Suites and were very satisfied with our experience. The rooms are quaint and conveniently have a kitchenette in the room. We stayed on a weekend with record heat and yet were extremely comfortable in our room. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area. The room had a small glitch with the electrical but there was a power box in the room to reset as needed. Overall it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Excellent

I stayed here for one night as I made a weekend getaway to Charles Town, West Virginia to the casino. I would highly recommend this hotel. It was new, clean, and the rooms were wonderful – the best part, the price. The only advice I have is to take your own pillow. The bed had 6 pillows on it, yet they were not comfortable. The bed was very plush and nice. I would recommend and stay here again.

The hotel was in a state of modification, due to a flood caused by its sprinkler system. We weren't going to be there very long [1 night, leaving EARLY the next a.m.] was informed that breakfast on Sundays did not start until 7 a.m. - and we had to leave by 7:10. Made for a poor first impression. HOWEVER, Adam, the front desk attendant was very attentive-knew I wasn't too happy and tried to make amends. Further, I thought the pool was indoor and it ended up being an outdoor pool-no swimming in February! So that was a disappointment too. However, the overall experience was okay.

This hotel is really nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and bed is real comfortable. Highly recommended!

Great hotel at a great price!

I was very impressed by this hotel - a kind of European feel with light woods, bright, modern art, and very clean and orderly. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

This was the halfway point for us on our trip and was an absolutely pleasant surprise. We travelled with two dogs, both of which the hotel happily accommodated. The rooms were new, clean, and comfortable. The area was nice and had great pizza. Everything was terriffic! I would absolutely stay here if we're ever in the area again.
