Candlewood Suites Texas City - טקסס סיטי

I was surprised when we were asked to present a credit card to place a deposit for damages that may occur during our stay.I took pictures of the room to show management the current damages within the room. I do not recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, but would be better if they had a pool. Front desk was nice and hotel was very clean.

I thought this hotel was boring and lack many amenities that most hotels have. My stay was not worth the price I paid.

The hotel is on the upper end of the lower end of hotels. The employees and manager had as their mission to make the stay good. Their attitude was the best part of the stay. From the weird TV control to the tiny room, this was not a 5 star hotel, but the price was not either. For us, this was a very convenient location between Galveston and Kemah. We had meals and entertainment at both locations.

No maid. No pool. About 15 minutes outside Galveston. Other than that, no complaints.

Candlewood Suites offers everything you need for a great night's stay away from home, including free DVD rentals. I'd stay here anytime! Great rates too ... especially for everything you get!

I and my party,address staff with several concerns, pertaining to room cleanliness. Staff was not polite in response. The above issue cast a shadow on future bookings. C.T

Call hotel to get direction, "GPS will not work". Great place every thing you need if you want to cook your meals

Parking lot accommodated our large trailer . Room was clean and location was great.

The ONLY down side to this hotel was the pillows. Take my advise and bring your pillows from home. They give you 3 or 4 per bed but they are micro thin. We really thought that it was a great place to stay though. The hotel staff was wonderful, professional and was eager to answer all of our questions.

Beautiful hotel well stocked and very clean

Super clean. Weight room and laundry mat. Mini kitchen was a plus too. All in all a great decision to stay here....only thng! The pillows suck and the top comforter was kinda hard to sleep with....other than that really it's worth what u pay!

Love the my stay! I will look for Candlewood estates to stay in the future!

The hotel is about 5 minutes away from I45 and we chose to stay here because the hotels in Galveston were more expensive. The hotel looks modern, and had friendly staff. Our room was clean and we really liked having a microwave and refrigerator in the room. They don't serve a continental breakfast but they do sell snacks in the lobby. Overall, I think it is a good value.

The rooms should have been made up while i was gone for the day. No swiming pool to use.Should have a free breakfest.

This was my first time staying at a Candlewood Suites. I was looking for a bargain as I knew I would not be spending much time in the room. I was very pleased. The hotel is modest but very comfortable and clean. I had a special request that the staff could have ignored but instead they were especially helpful. I travel with all my toiletries so not a big deal that they don't offer shampoo or lotion. The bed was very, very comfortable! Hotel offers very easy access to fun attractions in Galveston or Kemah Boardwalk. Will be staying again when I need to be in the area.

Candle woods was a nice hotel not much to offer as far as perks go. Rooms were very nice and clean. Very big plus having a frig and stove in the room. The people were very nice. I refer my friends and family to this location. The only down side to this hotel was no swimming pool and not offering breakfast.

Hotel location was hard to find. Hotel service was not acceptqble. Hotel night attendant did not want to give me my points earned as a Priority member. I do not recommend for long term stay.

Very nice hotel. Travel companions complained a bit about noise from A/C in room and blinking light on smoke detector, but found the full kitchen, desk, and overall cleanliness of the room very nice.

This was a wonderful place to stay at loved it very clean.

We were told at check in that we had to pay a 50 dollar deposit for "incidentals" uhm hello you have my credit card, should I trash your room charge it at that time, or file a report with the police. You do not put a 50 dollar hold on my credit card. However as we had arrived after a long drive we decided to tolerate it. Well on a side not it's been 3 days since we checked out and they still have the hold on my credit card. Next, when we reached the elevator there was a HORRIBLE smell there. We had to smell it all the way up to our room and back down again. The elevator has no exhaust fan and when people decide to release their gas in the elevator the smell stays for a LONG time. It was disgusting. Then, every time we walked past the front desk the women working were always on personal phone calls and being rude to and ignoring people checking in or out and overall just rude. We stayed on the second floor, from the moment we checked in until we checked out it sounded like the people in the room above ours were having a rave party, nonstop stomping, jumping, running. Bottom line this was a complete nightmare. Avoid it if you can.

You get a lot more for less here. Room had a full size fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and stove top. The cabinets were full of utensils also. I was very impressed with the quality of bedding and furnishings. Especially for the price that we paid. Will stay here again and definitely recommend to my friends/family.

There was no housekeeping for two day stay.Be sure and bring extra money for incidentals,they don"t tell u that when u book with them.cleanliness is only good when you first get there,you're on your on after that.Will not go back again. Don't wash ur clothes because the washing machine does not get cleaned.

The hotel staf was great but for the price I paid I should have stayed somewhere closer to restaurants.

Loved the room will stay there again. Ten minutes from Kemal and Galveston

Dont forget anything if you stay here. They charge for everything from a toothbrush to a bar of soap. There is no room service so you have to go to the front desk with your dirty towels and get new ones.

It was ok nothing to do on site but it worked for what we needed. The price was right and it was a 15 minute drive to the cruise terminal so it was fine. Also close enough to go the the coast for dinner.

Hotel employee was very nice and welcoming. I brought my wife and 1year old son and had no problem or concerns with him after entering the room as it was was clean. Nice, clean, and comfortable with all the things you need for cooking, relaxing, and bathing all in your room waiting for you. Will definitely stay again next year.

T.J. was very acomadating. She answered all of our answers with patience and kindness. The room was clean and well equipped. We will definately stay there again. Good rate also

It's clean, relatively quiet, and comfortable. However, for the price, I would think they would offer a continental breakfast and it's not as "upscale" as I had been led to believe. Overall, though, I would recommend it.

It is off of the beaten path yet close enough to highways. The staff was amazing. The Internet went down and the owners had the company working all night and day to fix it. We realize this wasn't the hotels fault. The people at the front office give us great tips on where to go for shopping and eating I would stay at this hotel again if I was back in the area.
