Very friendly front desk staff. Parking was in an open lot across the street which was challenging to find initially, but worked fine afterward.

I had no knowledge of the Philadelphia area when I booked this hotel. I was very disappointed with the location but the staff quickly assurred me they would help with travel arrangements and they were excellent. I had maps and they even called the tour company for one of our day trips and they picked us up at the hotel. The food was great for breakfast and dinners included Monday thru Thursday with Beer and Wine were a bonus. We were greeted by name each time we arrived or left the hotel.

I was in Philly for 3 days. The Homewood staff was very courteous. I had a little problem with a bill that they gave me and the manager handled it quickly without any problems. The room I stayed in was very clean and VERY comfortable. The breakfast they served was good also. I would definitely stay there again. My favorite was the 24 hr gym, felt good to get in a workout at 10pm.

Nice room cheap parking dinner and breakfast were good

The worst thing about this hotel is no wireless only hard wire in your room so I couldn't use my mobile device they need to upgrade this especially for those on business who don't want to do business in the lobby where there is wireless

I stayed with my colleagues and was delighted to find that not only did the Homewood provide a complimentary hot breakfast, but there is a welcoming reception in the evening with complimentary dinner, beer, and wine!

Stayed one night for business at PCOM next door. Very friendly staff. Very clean hotel with great breakfast selection including hot food and several cold cereal choices. Would stay agin.

The room was fantastic. Comfortable bed with soft linens. The breakfast buffet left a lot to be desired. The sausage tasted like paste. The eggs were barely warm. The raisin bread was somewhat stale but a better choice than the scones which were hard as rocks. This is a great place to stay but you're better off going out for breakfast.

This hotel is fantastic! The staff is delightful. Our room was huge and super clean!!! The bed was extremely comfortable and the pillows were fluffy. There were additional pillows and blankets in our closet as well. This stay was perfect. I wish every hotel stay I go to can be like this one was. Not one bad thing.

This hotel was great, other than the parking situation. The parking lot is $5 per night, which is a bargain, but the lot is across the street and a block away from the property, which was very inconvenient with two small children. The staff was very accommodating, though, and the room was very comfortable and well equipped. Although there is not a pool in the hotel, they share a pool and fitness room with the Hilton next door and it was very easy to get there (through indoor connection, not outdoors).

Top notch service for low price! Came here for the marathon and it satisfied all my needs: incredibly comfortable plush king bed, quiet, massive one-bedroom suite with kitchenette, 24-hour business center for internet and printing documents, fantastic breakfast with fresh food, SUPER helpful and friendly staff. They made my marathon much easier and stay in philadelphia a very enjoyable one!!

Very nice hotel . Staff was very friendly and helpful. Meals were amazing with great variety! Room was very clean and we had a great view of downtown Philadelphia!! We will definitely stay there again! It was very close to our daughters house.

This was an emergency stay. I was without power for 5 days due to Hurricane Sandy. I stayed at Homewood Suites by Hilton Philadelphia on City Avenue with my family for 4 nights. I was not familiar with this hotel when I booked it, but it was a pleasant surprise. The service is second to none. The suites are spacious and clean and the kitchens are well equipped. I was blown away by the complimentary full breakfast offered every day and the dinner Monday - Thursday. My 15 year old loved the complimentary Wi-Fi. I was so pleased with Homewood Suites that I will now seek this hotel when on vacation in other areas/states.

I will definitely stay at this hotel again. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel was perfect for our family.

We are on a family vacation and visiting many different cities in the USA. We only allocated 2 nights for Philadelphia and if we had known it was this great we would have stayed much longer!!! The home wood suites were a lovely place to come back to after a day of exploring the sights of Philly. There were many places to eat close by which was fantastic!!! The staff at the hotel were fantastic and the breakfast was a great start to the day.

This was a very good hotel in a near-perfect location for what we needed. Very personable staff helped make the stay even better. Pay a little extra and get it. Great weekend!

I was very happy with everything, except the lack of wireless in the rooms as well as Analog only TV. I would still recommend the hotel to guests who are looking for the amenities of a suite in an nice area close to downtown Phila. Good breakfast too with healthy options.

We recently visited Philly for a few days and selected Homewood Suites to have a more spacious room since we were traveling with a toddler. We loved the receptionists Vanessa and, I think, Judy (she worked weekday mornings) as they were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming, both towards us and our son. The welcome home dinners and breakfasts were very convenient for us with the little one too! We found the location to be excellent, close in proximity to places we were visiting. There is also a Target right around the corner which we found convenient! The only negative is the rooms have no wifi access, only via cable. So if you have a device that only works on wifi you are only able to use it in the lobby. Overall, our stay was pleasant and we would come back again!

Very pleased with our stay at homewood suites.we travelled with our 2 kids ages 2 and 3 years old. The people were very friendly , especially Toni she is great! We will definitely go back. Close to the highway and just 15 minutes from downtown.Parking was cheap as well only 5$ and breakfast buffet included! What else can we ask for??!!

1. When checking in room "key" did not work causing return trip to lobby. 2. Ice machine on our floor did not work. 3. Kitchenette flooring had obvious water damage - warped and flaking. 4. Some mildew in tub area

Clean, comfortable, extremely helpful and friendly front desk staff. Breakfast and dinner were probably great, but due to dietary restrictions, I could not try them. Location exactly where I needed to be, which was also in the center of restaurants and shopping. Less costly than staying in downtown Philadelphia, but still pricey compared to similar hotels another 15 minutes out of town.

Had a great time. Wish i could have spent more time in room. Hotel provide free breakfast everyday and free dinner (full dinner with drinks) monday through thursday. Lots of options for breakfast and tasty dinners. Ms. Vanessa at the front desk and Ms. Agnes in the dinning room were outstanding and extremely helpful. Also, close to supermarket and restaurants. Parking only $5 a day, unlike the center city hotels which charge $25 or more day-ouch!

I was familiar with the location and the near-by shopping and restaurants. City Avenue is close to the downtown and there's easy access to the Interstate to go downtown or to Boathouse Row, which was a highlight of ours. I was surprised to have both complimentary breakfast and dinner (with complimentary beer and wine). St Joseph's University was just down City Avenue from the hotel. Perfect for a visit. Reasonably priced, conveniently located and clean with modest accomodations. I'd recommend it.

We were pleasantly surprised with the size and comfort of our room. The room was very clean. The towels and sheets are high quality. Housekeeping did forget to wash our glasses after our first night in our room. On the whole, staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was OK but the coffee wasn't hot enough either morning of our stay. If we were only staying 2 nights, I'd stay there again. If we were staying longer, I'd look for a place with in- room wireless access. This didn't bother my husband but I found having wireless access only in the lobby very inconvenient.

This hotel was conveniently located, very clean, very friendly staff and the room was nicely equipped for an extended business trip. The morning and evening meals were nice. The only downside to this hotel is that parking is an issue. You have to be lucky enough to find street parking or park in a lot a couple of blocks away down in a hole without adequate lighting and pay $5 a day.

Great stay

Hotel was very close to the Mann Center, and made an easy trip there and back. Staff was very kind and informative about surrounding locations. We will definitely stay here next time we are in Philadelphia for a concert at the Mann Center.

Great location, Clean hotel, Nice pool, Great ammenities, Great Customer service, Convenient location and parking. I would definitely stay here again....

Thought the hotel was great for my two day stay. Only complaint was the internet -- wireless is only available in the lobby, with cables in the rooms. Mine was kind of short but the front desk kindly offered me a longer one when I asked. Also appreciated the connection with the Hilton next door; used its fitness center a few times.

The friendliest front desk I have encountered in a long time!

Hotel was very convenient to my relatives house. In house sundries store was well priced. Delicious breakfast free every morning and free wireless to boot!

The staff here was phenomenal. They said "welcome home" whenever I got back to the hotel, and each of them knew my name. I think that if I had asked for a hug, they would have given it happily. But the location is very far from the city center and there is no good or easy public transportation. A taxi into town is cost me $23-25, which given that I had to go in and out several times for six days cost a few hundred dollars.
