Great trail near the hotel that really added to the experience.

The stay was great, easy to talk with the very helpful staff. Great lady on evenings that was so pleasant and helpful, she made the stay special. Great smile when you came in and very welcoming. Only negative was some black mold around tub, otherwise very well cared for. Thanks for the stay.

No gymn, one chair in our room , no refrigerator. no area as a lounge to view t.v.

I stayed here one night here and one night at the Holiday Inn Express for my daughters military graduation. The hotel staff were friendly and the hotel seems clean, but it is very dated. The room was a standard room with relatively decent mattresses and cheap pillows. No complimentary breakfast although there is a Cora's across the street, which is excellent, albeit, not cheap. The bathroom seemed clean, but very dated. Circa 1975 fixtures and faucets. There was some mould around the tub calking. Sheets and towels were clean and new. Overall it's an OK hotel that is 10-15 mins from the base, That is more than adequate. If you can get the Holiday Inn, take it. It's closer to the base, brand new, has free breakfast, coffee and cookies in the lobby (sun-thu), is spotless, easy walk to Boston Pizza and Tim Hortons! It's worth the extra $15

it was clear during our stay at Hotel du Gouverneur that this establishment is at the centre of St. Jean's social life, with good reason! It is an excellent facility - offering fine dining and accommodations at a reasonable price. Centrally located, we found ourselves just a hop, skip and a jump away from anywhere we needed to go. Highway access is convenient also. Rooms very soundproof, no exterior noise from the hallway, and even within the room, there was no noise from the washroom bleeding into the living space. Staff are friendly and accommodating. We'll be back.

We stayed at this hotel in July on a business trip and we were a bit disappointed. The room was clean and the bed confortable, but he hotel is in a need of some renovation. It looks like it's stucked in the 80's (carpet, bathroom, paint, even the TV was very old). The restaurant and bar were completly empty, so we went out for diner. The location is good, only a few kilometers away from the Old Town which was nice. This hotel was ok for one night, but next time I'd try another place.

This hotel is an excellent choice when staying in St-Jean, however, if you are going for a graduation parade, be sure to book early, or you will end up paying a premium for booking to late. Paid $70 more than the last time I stayed in the same hotel.

We have stayed at the Goveneur several times over many years and have always been satisfied. This time when we entered the room after an evening with relatives we found the bathroom sink was not draining. The front desk was apperently aware of this condition and should not have assigned this room. The front desk advised a plumber would be called in the morning (after check out?) A very personable maintenance man (not enlish speaking) did manage to give me a bucket and some rubber gloves and very capably helped me remove the piping under the sink and clear the line. We would not have been able to use the room in the condition it was left! My wife has never seen a client repair the room so it could be used by us! (and she is a native of St Jean!)

Excellent English speaking staff. Clean rooms. Very easy to get the Saint Jean Garrison from hotel.

For a room with few ammenities this is a very good clean hotel convienient to highway. Business suite is avialable for computer use and printing.(no waiting during the day) Best to eat outside the hotel as their are good restaurants at all price ranges nearby. The hotel has changed over the years and now has more English speaking personnel who will actually speak to you

This isn't a bad hotel if you don't require internet access or ice. They advertise high speed internet but the problem is that you can easily access the wireless modem but I was getting 1mps to 11mps max. I could not access most sites or my email because of the speed or lack of. Can you believe that they had one ice machine on the 8th floor on an eight floor hotel. I had to drive to the store and purchase ice. Why is ice more expensive in Canada? I had the breakfast buffet which was a mistake. They had the typical powdered scrambled eggs and tough bacon. They did not have any juice of any kind which I thought strange. All this for $13! The rule of thumb is to never eat at your hotel. Especially breakfast. I should of drove 2 min away to a restaurant that had a full parking lot at 8am.

Hotel was convenient to highway. No breakfast and restrauant closed at 8:30 p.m. not open on Sunday. Not many places to eat in area but nice supermarket for take out. Room was clean but bath tub had some mold in grout. The staff were friendly and helpful and spoke english. We saw three hot air balloons from our window. Very Nice attraction. Nice quiet neighborhood. I would recomend this hotel to any one going North. Only 1/2 hour from Montreal and easy to get there.

Hôtel bien situé. Brunch du dimanche excellent. Par contre quelques choses à réviser: 1. Propreté de la chambre, poussière et choses hétéroclites sous le lit !!! 2. Un seul fauteuil dans notre chambre. 3. Pas de réfrigérateur. Une petite note sur le document de réservation : planche à repasser et refrigérateur sur demande ??? 4. À l'extrémité de l'hôtel le signal du wifi était trop faible. 5. Cette chambre a besoin d'un sérieux rafraîchissement. S.V.P enlevez le tapis qui a beaucoup d'expérience !!! Rapport qualité prix sous la moyenne. À la prochaine, j'en doute !

le chauffage était bien trop élevé dans la chambre à notre arrivée. La réservation payée d'avance a créée de la confusion à deux reprises lors de notre accueil comme lors de notre départ. le système de douche à la piscine défectueux Le lieu où se trouve la piscine semble plus au moins bien entretenu !!! pomme de douche de la chambre pourrait être à débit réduit (économisateur d'eau) lieu pour une nuit mais sans plus.

très propre, lits super confortables personne de soir à mon arrivée:accueil très bref , sans plus que la remise de la clé de chambre sans sourire,peu de courtoisie, très peu réceptive aux demandes, (ex: sceau à glace demandé...jamais reçu...) par contre, la personne de jour à mon départ:: super gentille, très souriante et serviable: modèle à suivre!

Nous sommes très satisfaits. Tranquilité,proprepé,confort.

Aucune chambre adaptée pour personne handicapée. Moissisure dans la salle de bain... Le hall d'entrée de l'hôtel donne bonne impression, mais les chambres sont à rénover...

tres efficace et rapide pour les reservation en ligne j aime ca

situé à 30 km environ de Montréal, dans une petite ville tranquille, c'est un hôtel très sympathique, propre, les chambres sont très spacieuses avec tout le confort nécessaire, le personnel est très acccueillant.

Je trouve que la chambre était chère pour ce qu'il y avait. De plus, j'ai retrouvé plusieurs cheveux dans le bain qui ne nous appartenaient pas. J'ai déjà vu mieux.

les fenêtres ne s'ouvrent pas... dommage pour aérer. le climatiseur fait beaucoup de bruit et ne donne pas la bonne température. grand comptoir de salle de bain. bon rapport qualité - prix. le buffet pour déjeuner est plutôt ordinaire, ne vaut pas son prix de 12$.

Air conditioning is quite laud and wireless internet quite slow; windows cannot be opened, i.e. no fresh air allowed. They say they do not want that somebody jumps because it is one of the tallest buildings in town...
