I had booked a luxurious junior suite, with garden view. The room I got was a suite alright, but there was NO windows with natural light in the room. The layout of the room was also very cramped. The sink and shower did not work properly and the it was very cold in the room, and no way of getting the heating to work. The room was also supposed to have free WiFi, which it did. But, the speed was 2kbps and it was the most unstable internet I have ever used.

I was very surprised at the high quality and amenities with free wifi and business center at my disposal, atm machine, at such a reasonable price. The service excellent, the people very friendly and professional, The hotel taxi manager, Abdul and the driver Mimi and I are friends for life! They were very trustworthy and thorough. Well located for the pyramids at Giza and a short drive to Cairo. I love the Egyptian people. There is a dignity and openness that I found very endearing. I was there 8 days during the Tahrir Square demonstrations and as a single woman alone was not afraid (a great guide /driver helped). Great food in the main restaurant, reasonably priced, a fine breakfast buffet with a caraf of coffee in my table! The 8th floor pool area was a wonderful place to relax though unfortunately not heated. The room with king size bed was quiet , 4 English channels, great movie channel. You couldn't see the Pyramids due to fog and pollution but not a real draw back. Because the streets are littered with garbage and the traffic and honking is constant one might believe there is a lot of danger. It is just another culture and I got to understand that quickly and accepted it all. But I highly recommend hiring the driver. It makes it all doable and easy. Tipping outside the hotel can be very expensive if you haven't budgeted for it but for what you are getting is is actually a very good deal.

I was pleased with this hotel even after I changed from a very expensive Cairo Marriott. Barcelo is well located on the very famous Al-Ahram boulevard, 10 minutes ride from the pyramids and 10 minutes from the Giza subway station. The members of the staff are very friendly, like elsewhere in Cairo, I was getting an extra bonus each time they noticed that I speak the language although I’m originally from Morocco. the hotel is quit clean. Unfortunately I didn’t have the chance to try their food because I had meals plans elsewhere, but the breakfast buffet looked really, really good. The downsides are: - There was no coffee in the rooms, at least in my room, or elsewhere, except if you want it get serviced. - The AC vent was noisy and was blowing directly to the bed. - My room didn’t have any window, I’m sure it’s not the case for the rest of the rooms. It didn’t bother me because I didn’t spend much time in my room anyway. - The door of my room was not closing properly, I had to pull hard on my way out. Eventhough, I listed few inconveniences with low importance, Barcelo Cairo Pyramids remains a very good place while you’re in Cairo.

I booked a delux room with two single bef when check in they gave me normal room without telling me no room available for delux room. i allergic to carpet immediately I brought the attention to front desk , they upgraded me but is a king size bed .. overall the hotel is up to my expectation .. staff excellent service , helpful . don't take the cab from hotel or cab beside hotel . walk 3 minute away to take a cab with meter .. Cairo is safe not to worry

staff very nice , food good, were able to get good drivers for day trips

the hotel is clean.they have taxi service and tour service.great selection on the breakfast.great location to walk around town and close to the pyramids.custemer service is great everyone was friendly.

Once you get to the hotel, it is a good location to see the pyramids. It costs about 25USD to get to Giza from the airport. The restaurants at the hotel are solid, but breakfast is really good. The prices of the tourist agent in the hotel seem fairly reasonable. Easy to get a driver and go around Cairo or Giza. Do not book this hotel if you are looking to fall asleep looking at the pyramids. You can see them if you're in the perfect location in the restaurant or the pool deck. Really friendly people. Neighborhood was sketchy and the hotel will tell you not to leave the hotel. Which is good advice.

I have stayed at a lot of hotels in Cairo and compared to these hotels Barcelo is very clean and in good condition and at the same time at a reasonable price. The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was the breakfast and it was also expensive. However, my overall opinion is good and I will definitely choose this hotel the next time.

Went to Egypt partly for business and partly for leisure at the beginning of May and had found a discount offer for this hotel via website . Really nice hotel, I personally enjoyed my 3-day stay. Window overlooked main road (I am a heavy sleeper so this and the traffic noise did not bother me). Polite and extremely helpful staff especially Dalia and Emad, but receptionists can be a little moody at times. Also, when I called room service (reception), I had to follow things up, as the guy would say he'll check and never actually get back. Be careful about extra things - bottle of water which I bought from the shop for 1.5/ 2 Egyptian Pounds, I was charged 14 EP at the hotel! I had a bit of difficulty locating this hotel on google maps as other hotel websites located at different places- correct address is al-Haram street - across the nile from the airport side, and there are shopping centres and shops on that road too .

I stayed at Barcelo Pyrmaids for five nights with my wife and I have to say it was a pleasant stay. We took a junior suite, which had a living room with a two seater and one single seater sofa and a mini bar. The bedroom was quite spacious with a dressing table and built-in wardrobe and a digital safe. The wall mounted 32-inch LCD TV in front of the bed added a nice touch to the room. As for the buffet breakfast, they had a wide variety of bread selections but rest dishes were just average. Free Wifi is one of the plus points. The service was nothing exceptional. On the whole it was a comfortable stay.

Good hotel. Really nice breakfast, the chef is very cool and nice. You need taxi to go around, but cost maybe 15 Egypt pound arverge.

if you get a room with a view to the pyramids, it's worthwhile. Avoid the breakfast unless you get a special rate as it's CRAZY Expensive and not worth the money!.

The BC Pyramids hotel was nice and clean, but did not live up to the standards we were expecting. The staff was quite rude and hungry for tips. The airconditioning in our room did not work. Of the 3 restaurants on site, only 1 was actually open the entire week we were there. And you need the hotel restaurant because there is nowhere to eat nearby meaning more taxi trips which are quite expensive. A warning for anyone using the taxi/tour service located in the hotel lobby. One guy, I didn't catch his name was quite helpful and honest. He explained their price sheet and worked with us from there. The other tried to dupe us and threw out some outrageous prices and never even pulled out his price sheet. Luckily we knew what to expect so we didn't work with him. Just make sure they show you the prices on their print out sheet!!! But really, if you want a good tour company we highly reccomend Memphis tours. They were amazing. We contacted them on very short notice and they were prompt and efficient in replying and arranging every thing we wanted to see. Our guide Turk was very knowledgeable and so fun. It felt like we gained a friend. Their service is also very resonably priced.

We were safe and secure in the hotel, but did not venture out at night. First room had a noisy dog barking, and the management allowed us to change rooms.

IT WAS A SHAME THAT OUR DREAM TRIP TO EGYPT WAS AT A TIME WHEN THE COUNTRY WAS IN A STATE OF TURMOIL AND THAT THE AVERAGE EGYPTIAN WAS THERE TO RIP YOU OFFBUT THERE WAS A SILVER LINING IN THE CLOUD AND THAT WAS THE STAFF AT THE HOTEL, IT WAS A BIT TIRED BUT THE STAFF MADE UP FOR IT. ALSO THE MANAGER OF MULTI CHOICE ABDUL MADE IT SO EASY FOR FOR US TO VISIT PLACES WE WANTED TO SEE WITH SOME CHEAP PACKAGE DEALS AND HE SUPPLIED A CAR AND ALSO THE BEST DRIVER IN CAIRO' MEME" HE MADE OUR STAY INTO AN EXPERIANCE. Outstanding value. Attention to detail. Unless you are taking a tour bus to the sights, plan to leave around 07:00. (I like to head out by 5 and watch the place wake up. This is Cairo). The 8th floor pool is a must. A one min walk to the right and around the corner will get you to a coffee shop, a wicked bakery, and a hole in the wall street food place that makes the kindest potato chips on the spot! Five mins to the left is a pastery shop that will make your eyes bug out. You can buy all the sweets you can eat for two days for the price of a kiddy burger. I was in Cairo for a week and I made the Barcelo my second stop for three days. The first four were just a little N.E. of "T" Square which was an easy ride from the AP. If you try to get to the Barcelo from the AP between 6am and 10pm, well lets just say that the 2~3 hours in Cairo trafic will feel like about 5~7 hours and your day will be shot. I took the metro from Ataba to Giza Station, and walked to the Barcelo all in about 2 hours. My taxi ride to the AP at 5am took all of 20 min. The hotel has everything you could want, served on polished alabaster. (But you won't see Cairo from a hotel window or sitting on a tour bus)

I was very glad that I have booked this hotel. The price and service were excellent. I would recommend it to anyone who is planning to visit Giza.

My recent stay at the Barcelo Pyramids Hotel in Giza was defined by the 2 "P"'s - the Pyramids (which I could see from my room) and the pool on the 8th floor Osiris terrace which was a real oasis at the end of a busy day. The deluxe Pyramids facing room I had booked was quite reasonable in size and was well appointed although there was nothing other than water in the mini-bar (you can ask to have it filled with other items apparently...) It was good to have an in-room safe and the bathroom was well-stocked and a good size. Breakfast in the first floor restaurant was excellent, especially the omelettes which were freshly made to order. Room service was a little on the slow side (an Egyptian characteristic!) but the food was hot and of good quality. Try the Italian restaurant if you decide to dine in - it was first class. Sadly, the Pyramids restaurant on the top floor (which has spectacular views across to the Pyramids) was closed for re-furbishment during my visit but it looks a great spot for an evening meal. The hotel location in Giza is great for visits to the Pyramids, the Sound and Light Show and the Sphinx although it is quite a trek to and from the airport. With friendly staff, attractive room rates and a lovely pool to enjoy the Cairo sunshine, the Barcelo Pyramids was a great place to stay in Cairo.

The only clean and peace space in Egypt!!

We stayed only 1 night, but loved this hotel. Food great, rooms were perfect. Will recommend this to anyone. Its only 10mins from the pyramids and on the right side of town. Just 11 le in the taxi. Perfect for the sound and light show.

I'm very satisfied with the hotel, but if u r staying in this hotel purely for business, i would not recommend it since it is a bit far from downtown Cairo, and El Haram street is crowded, from 7 Am to 9 pm and Traffic is horrible!

Quite nice hotel, staff was friendly and especially the Security Manager and Front Desk Manager. I've some problem in the hotel but the manager can handle it and also let us stay until 6pm until my flight departure. Thank's to them.

Unless the price for this hotel is more than 30% less than downtown hotels, don't stay here. Instead pay a little more and stay closer to central Cairo. Any money you save on the room, you'll spend on transportation. This, even though Cairo taxies are cheep Hotel is modern and clean. Most service staff are helpful. Free Internet isn't really free. Internet unexpectidly died. Front desk said I'm only allowed three hours of free internet by order of the manager. I argued that free means free throughout the stay. After two hours of debating, the front desk person agreed to activate the internet for 48 hours, the duration of my stay. Hotel actively participates in the Cairo and Egypt extortion campaign. Within 10 mintues of checking in, the bellman was making me under-the-table offers for tour and transportation service. On checkout the hotel's official taxicab coordinator asked me whether I wanted the hotel to call me a cab or get one myself outside. He said the hotel's price is 130 Egyption Pounds. He winked as if to suggest "go outside, you'll get a better deal." So I did. Another guy from the hotel followed me outside and asked me quietly, "how much do you want to pay?" Clearly he knew that I'd offer something less than 130 Pounds. I offered 100 Pounds. He said "how about 110." I said "105." He said okay and stopped me a taxi. Remember, this was a hotel official.

The Barcelo is an oasis,boutique style,clean, professional and helpful without being intrusive.

Very good hotel, just a bit far away from city center. The hotel staff was very courteous and friendly, the rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfortable. The amenities in the hotel (especially the pool on 8th floor) and the gazebo around it were very nice. The food tasted good, and the wireless internet worked fine as well. Overall, a very good hotel if you want to stay away from city center, and great value for the money. They also offered private airport transfer service at an additional charge, and it was not a rip-off.

The hotel was fine. Clean and well appointed, especially by Egyptian standards. However, my room didn't have a single window, which is unacceptable design considering the hotel is newly built. The service was good. The neighbourhood, not so much. Relatively close to the Giza Pyramids, but would have been smarter to stay in Dokki or another area worth venturing out into during the evenings.

ピラミッドに非常に近く観光に行くなら非常に便利です。ホテルはメインストリートに位置してるので夜非常にうるさいが近くに飲み物を買える場所もあり、買い物も出来るので利便性にはいいです。ただ特に受付スタッフの態度が非常に悪くそれ以外のスタッフはとても優しいです

Fint hotel til god pris. Tæt på pyramiderne. Hotellet hedder "Barcelo Cairo Three Pyramids". I daglig Taxa-tale blot "Three Pyramids".

Min kæreste og jeg tog til Egypten i den periode hvor der var fodboldskandale, hvor de gik lidt amok. Derfor var vi glade for vi boede lidt ude af byen. hotellet ligger i Giza så der er ret langt ind til centrum, men metro stationen ligger lige i nærheden så det skulle være nemt nok at komme derind, ikke at vi brugte den fordi vi blev frarådet af hotellet at gå selv. dette er det eneste vi har været lidt ærgerlige over, fordi de sidste to dage tog vi chancen og gik ud i byen selv. i de rigere kvarter til at starte med, men også nogle steder lidt fattigere, og det gik fint, der var ingen farer overhovedet og folk var flinke og venlige. Hotellet er meget stort og personalet er flinke. Omkring hotellet er folk rimelig fattige så derfor vil de nok prøve at snyde en. Vi gik til en bager lige rundt om hjørnet hvor vi fik ret godt bagerbrød for 10-20 EGP og så lidt længere ned og få en kop te til en tier, hvis man skulle gøre dette i Danmark ville det nok koste 150 kr. Alt i Alt en god tur

Отель произвёл не очень хорошее впечатление .Персонал на ресепшен не очень приветливый. Были проблемы с интернетом в номере, я объяснила, что нужен интернет постоянно на все время пребывания, но мне продали за 10$ карту на 1 час пользования. Когда я это поняла, спустилась на ресепшен и задала вопрос, почему не работает интернет мне объяснили что проблемы у меня. На следующий день через друзей, которые говорят на арабском я всё таки выяснила что карта всего на 1 час. только после этого мне предложили оплатить 150 единиц местной валюты чтобы подключить сеть постоянно, интернет работал 4 дня после этого опять начались проблемы. На ресепшен постоянно делали вид что не говорят по русски и плохо на английском….НО!!! когда возникла проблема с доплатой с моей стороны персонал тут же начал говорить на русском языке))) в номере почистили пол только 1 раз за 2 недели…в номере очень холодно ,обратилась на ресепшен с этой проблемой сказали « просто отключите кондиционер» )))) вытяжка в ванной комнате не работает .Персонал в кафе в холле хороший…Район не спокойный …вид из окна ужасный. Вообще не являюсь привередливым человеком и путешествую мало….но такого обслуживания ещё не видела ,за все время пребывания было очень неприятно общаться с сотрудниками отеля на ресепшен.

tres bon raaport qualité/ prix .Hotel renové, propre, chambres calmes malgres l'avenue bruyant. Assez proche du métro pour aller au centre ville du Caire. Je recommande cet hotel

Its close to the pyramids but far from city center. Not too bad though as you can grab a cab to the metro station for 10 Egyptian pounds and the metro is only 1 pound. Takes max 45 min. total

- Homelike Hotell., very easy to find., there are very near shopping center around., and there is alot of fast food places like KNT., McDonald., Pizzahut in the area., the Pyaramids is only 4-5 minutes by Taxi and well cost you 8-12 EP = 2 LD = 1.5 USD I don't rekommonde it to families with children because there almost no activity's for children at the Hotell., I defently rekomonde it to romance pyramid visitors.., I do not like that the street is always crowded. And I defently recommend the restrung, the prices there is like 50-70 EP = 20 LD it's very cheap..
