Hotel Plevna - סליימה

The hotel is in a very good location with easy access to all popular places by bus. Not far away from restaurants and bars. Certainly worth of money. I highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel mixed up our booking meaning a non-balcony room was assigned. I complained and we were moved to a room with a balcony. However, the room stank of cigarettes (quilt also had a large number of cigarette burns on it) and this was not acceptable. We moved back into the first room and went without a balcony. The hotel offered to move us the next day - but this would have meant waiting for the other, non-cigarette smelling balcony room to be emptied, cleaned and then moving our stuff. We had a lot to do that day and so could not take this offer up. The matter still stands: we should have been given the correct room in the first place - this is our holiday and we didn't have time to keep switching rooms. The room we stayed in was uncomfortable for the first night because the aircon was blowing out hot air. I spent the night sweating - was told there was nothing that could be done until engineer clocked on the next day. This was fixed on the 2nd day as was the missing bath plug. Breakfast was fine - enough choice, coffee good but the juices available were watered down cordial - not good. The lifts in the hotel were very old and I did not feel safe using them: banged and jolted badly. The room was generally clean, although blankets at the bottom of the beds were grubby and were not clean on that day, the kettle had lots of loose limescale flakes in it. One of the pillows was wripped and matted.

Awfull hotell. Looked like a hotell in Norway in the1970. The bathroom was awfull and the hotell wa full of teenagers. The reseptionists were not plesent, they didn't løøk ut when you arrived. The barhrooms was dirty and awfull made. Do not book at room there.

A very well run hotel friendly helpful,room is cleaned properly every day.The breakfasts all you could wish for ,great selections. All staff from the top to the bottom do their best to give you a great stay. We had two great weeks, thank you all.

Good location, quiet but very convient. Close to the beach and shopping area. Buffet breakfast good in terms of the prices we paid. The bathroom needs some updating but overall quite good.

The hotel was friendly and it was like staying at a house, the floor levels varied and that made our area more private. A short walk down the road took us to the Plevna pool on the waters edge where we swam, had a drink in the bar and had access to the sea. Brilliant location for food and buses, I highly recommend it. Goos breakfast too - hot and cold foods.

vALUE FOR MONEY

spent 1 week at the plevna hotel and for a 3 star it was fantastic first time i stayed below a 4 star but the plevna was worth every penny , i stayed bed and breakfast and there was ample of good food spoke to others who stayed half board and they said even that was good , staff were very helpful anjd went out there way to help if in need so overall a lovely place and will go back someday , thanx to all plevna staff steve and julie from corby england .

Overall this is a good hotel. I was there on vacation and this hotel was sufficient. The staff was very friendly and helpful (however, be aware that most of the staff are interns from continental europe trying to learn the hotel business, so your experience may vary depending on the crop of interns they have). The rooms are nice and comfortable, but a bit dirty (moldy tiles in the shower, tv remote was just discustingly grimey and dirty). Rooms have airconditioning which in hot days is very nice. The free wifi internet connection is in the lobby, but not in the rooms; however, I discovered that if you are staying on first floor (as I was), you can get wifi in your room from the lobby router. So if that is important to you choose a first floor room. The beach club is nice but beware that the pool is very salty as I believe the source of water for the pool is the sea water. The location is very good. It's a quick walk to the shopping and the waterfront. There are a number of restaurants and bars, as well as boat tours, water taxis, and boat charters within walking distance. Overall a good hotel due to location and staff, but not a great hotel. I recommend it if you are planning on just using the hotel to wind down and sleep, and not much more. If you plan to use your hotel as a resort, then I would not recommend this hotel for you.

We went to Malta for a friend's wedding. Most of the wedding party stayed at the Meridian but we went for 10 days so that was a little out of our price range. A local friend recommended the Plevna and we were really pleased with it. Brilliant value - it was nicer than I'd expected. The service could have been better but as we discovered that seems to be just the way of the Maltese. By Maltese standards the service was really good. Depending on the exact location of your room you should probably pack ear plugs if you're a light sleeper as some rooms can be a bit noisy from the traffic outside and in others you get disturbed by people talking right outside your room, but these kind of things are definitely not limited to this hotel. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it to anyone on a bit of a budget. (Free wi-fi in the lobby as well.)

Staff were fantastic and so helpful, but you do get what you pay for in terms of comforts.

The hotel is in a very good area,in Sliema,a few steps from the main harbour area and close to the bus stop where it´s very easy to catch a bus to Valletta. The staff is nice and helpful,the rooms are clean and everything is well kept. The breakfast is also excelent,with a great variety of items. We definetly recommend the hotel and would stay there again on a next visit to Malta

Very nice staff and helpful manager who went out of his way to ask us about the quality of our stay. The rooms and hotel were very clean. The area is just the right distance from pubs and bars - not too far away, but in a peaceful area. Lovely new shopping centre near by. The area is presently being re-generated and this will probably make the hotel more in demand.

The Plevna hotel was very close to Sliema bus and ferry terminal, also to The Point a brand new shopping complex. The hotel offered very comfortable accomodation at a very competative price. Not a 4 star hotel but lounge areas and bar areas very comfortable. The dining room could maybe have a make over. All in all a very good stay. On a down point, there was a lot of work being carried out not far from the hotel, however it is due to be finished soon.

People were fantastic. I have never come accross such welcoming and friendly people. The breakfast is worth the extra money as you will easily pay double elswhere. It was such a good experience for me and my family that we will be returning next year. Thank you Plevna

Standarden på Malta generelt er ganske lav, så man kan ikke forvente all verdens. Men hotellet var helt ok, mye støy fra fuglene på utsiden om morgenen - hver dag. Det kan man vel ikke skylde på hotellet for .. De la på overmadrass når vi ba om det og byttet til separate dyner da vi ba om det. Veldig hyggelig og behjelpelig personale. Maten er ikke mye å skryte av så vi droppet frokost på hotellet.

3 stars, really..? Nice lobby, but smelly, dirty and old rooms (smell comes from moisture and mold) with lots of problems like TV didn't work, tap was broken etc. Cheap hotel attracts young students who party and run around all night long and make a lot of noise.

First we got room 121, which had a bad smell. The receptionist first offered to fix it with a spray, but we asked if we could have another room. We were them given room 501, which did not smell, but the double bed was much smaller and we had to share the linen. the worst part about the room was that it was close to the elevator, which was really noisy when it went up and down and when it stopped it was with a loud sound. The breakfast buffet was fine and better than expected of a hotel in this price range The waiter made a big fuss about explaining the choices, which was unnecessary as they were all displayed in the buffet.

la pulizia delle camere lascia a desiderare, cosi come la manutenzione. Uno dei due letti nella nostra stanza era semi sfondato ed una molla usciva dal letto. Inoltre lenzuola e federe sono cambiate, ma la coperta sembra non essere mai stata lavata. L'internet dell'albergo é lentissimo e per scaricare la posta ci vuole più di mezz'ora, mentre la sala colazione é piccola e bisogna fare la fila fuori la mattina per entrare. Unico punto a favore la posizione discreta a metà strada tra Valletta e Saint Julian e a 10 minuti a piedi dalla zona ristorante di sliema.

酒店总体不错，但卫生间马桶很旧。自助晚餐性价比不错，适合不想去外面餐厅吃饭的人。酒店门口有公交车，去各个地方都很方便。附近还有各家乐福，采购便利。住宿时间太短，没有好好利用酒店的游泳池，比较遗憾了。

Det var ok, man får vad man betalar för. Fast vi hade två rum och dom skiljde väldigt mycket både i storlek och standard trots att det var samma pris.

Hotel Plevna ligger centralt - tæt på shopping, promenade og tur/transport muligheder til hele øen. Hotellet har en beach klub ca. 200 meter fra, hvor der er ok pool, strandstole, mulighed for leje af håndklæder og adgang til havet.

Et hyggeligt hotel som med sin beliggenhed gjorde det bekvemt. Servicen var i top og morgenmaden fantastisk.

Helt ok hotell. Det enda minuset var att poolerna inte finns på hotellet, man är tvungen att gå en bra bit från hotellet ner mot havet och där ligger poolerna. Hotellet har en härlig solterass på taket. Skön säng och rejäl frukost.

A few minutes walk to both sides of Sliema, to ferries and buses and also beach areas. Don't expect to find long sandy stretches though. The hotel's beach club with a salt water pool is O.K. but you have to pay to hire a sun-bed. The hotel provided an excellent breakfast with both hot and cold dishes. A negative point would be the early morning traffic directly outside, either lorries delivering water to the hotel or those collecting rubbish. However, we stayed for a week in May and would certainly consider returning to this hotel if we visit Malta again.

L'ensemble était d'un bon rapport qualité/prix, mais la salle de bain était en mauvais état, sentait le moisi (les sanitaires aurait mérité d'être changés ainsi que le meuble sous le lavabo qui était moisi). Dommage, car sinon la chambre était agréable et propre.L'hôtel était calme, mais la rue bruyante à cause de travaux commençant tôt le matin.

Hotelli itsessään ei ollut kovinkaan kummoinen. Huone oli pieni ja hieman tunkkainen. Muutoin hotelli oli hintaansa nähden hyvä ja todella hyvällä paikalla. Aamiainen oli kohtuullinen. Hotellin henkilökunta oli todella iloisia ja mukavia, aina oli joku respassa vastassa. Mielestäni hotellin hintalaatusuhde oli oikein hyvä. Hotelli sijaitsi hyvällä paikalla, vain 5 minuutin kävelymatkan päässä Slieman rantakadulta. Ainut miinus oli se ettei hotellilla todellisuudessa ole uima-allasta vaan noin 100 metrin päässä sijaitseva erillinen beach club, joka aukeaa vasta toukokuussa. Beach clubin aukiolosta ei tiedotettu riittävän hyvin. Mutta kaikesta huolimatta voin suositella hotelli Plevnaa kaikille niille, jotka viettävät lomaansa Sliemassa tekemällä muutakin kuin hotellihuoneessa istuen.

Un charmant hôtel très bien situé quartier de St Julians. La mer est à deux pas avec la beauté des berges et l'envie de se promener. Bonne cuisine avec beaucoup de propositions chaque jour. Une clientèle très fidèle donne une ambiance vieille Angleterre. Le staff est sympathique, les serveurs, souvent, sont des stagiaires non rémunérés. Ils travaillent à l'hôtel pour apprendre la langue cela devrait être plus mis en valeur pour les valoriser car ils le méritent. Je recommande l'hôtel pour les familles qui souhaitent profiter de la Valette, il est possible de prendre les bus à 1OOm de la porte de l'hôtel pour se rendre à la Valette d'où part toutes les destinations. Une bonne adresse surtout en février pour profiter du carnaval. Peut-être pas le meilleur endroit pour une baignade.

Für wenig Geld in Valetta-nah übernachten, das bot das Plevna auf jeden Fall. Ansonsten war der Aufenthalt eher enttäuschend: Unser Zimmer ähnelte den abgebildeten keinesfalls. Alte, wacklige Möbel, die Zimmertür notdürftig geflickt und wenig Vertrauen erweckend. Das Bett unseres Sohnes war aufgrund einer auf beiden Seiten der Matratze herausstechenden Bettfeder nicht nutzbar, und nur nach mehrfacher Reklamation wurde die Matratze ersetzt. Die Klimaanlage vor dem Fenster war zum Glück nur tagsüber laut. Lange schwarze Haare im Bad und in den Betten. Auch das in anderen Bewertungen so gelobte Frühstück können wir nicht bestätigen: Geplatzte Würstchen und wässriges Rührei waren wenig einladend. Gleichwohl wäre ein frisches Omelett bestellbar gewesen - wenn die Kellner im engen und vollen Frühstücksraum greifbar gewesen wären. Positiv die Nähe zur Strandpromenade, wo sich in unmittelbarer Nähe u.a. ein toller neuer Spielplatz befindet. Der Beach Club war im November geschlossen, er entspricht aber ebenfalls nicht den abgebildeten Außenanlagen.

Lättsam och trevlig personal i reception och restaurang. Prisvärt fyrbäddsrum för familjen med sköna sängar och liten balkong. Mycket bra frukost och god renlighet. Rättså nära bussar och färja. Tyvärr stängd poolavdelning i november.

Die Bettmatrazen waren in einem schlechten Zustand. (Folge Rückenschmezen)

Towels where not clean and some days we only had a pair of towels. Hair in room for other guests. Had to clean the bathtube before using the shower. Breakfast was ok but not "cold" enough. Positive thing was that it was near the bus-stop and the water.

Hotellet er gammelt. Baderommet var en helt for ILLE. Etter vel en uke fikk vi ny dusjslange slik at den ikke falt av når vi dusjet , likeledes nytt dusjforheng. Vi klaget allerede etter 1 dag, men intet skjedde. I resepsjonen var de lite forkommende. Balkongen var en vits, kun så vidt plass til en stol i bredden og to i lengden. Der kunne vi ikke sitte da de holdt på med skraping av maling. Men det var veldig bra rengjøring, og bassengområdet var bra

L'hotel est bien situé, à 5 mn d'un arrêt de bus desservant la Vallette (20mn de trajet). L'accueil y est chaleureux, le personnel est très attentif et très professionnel.Une mention particulière pour la piscine située à 50 mètres de l'hotel, en bord de mer. Les parties communes de l'Hotel sont tout à fait correctes. En revanche déception pour le confort de la chambre familial (4lits), la décoration est pauvre, l'équipement est insuffisant voire en mauvais état (salle de bain).
