We can hear everything from our room, paper thin wall, wood floor. We ask for another room, they did nothing to accomodate us, no effort at all!

Overall, we liked the hotel, its location, and the complimentary breakfast buffet. We did have one unresolved issue with the heating element in the room - it was not functioning, and the hotel was unable to make it work. We did not receive any offer to move us to another room, so we just wrapped up in a blanket.

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend getaway for my birthday. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed some biking without a lot of traffic as this was early season. We had a great room with beautiful views. Michael at the front desk was most helpful and enjoyable. We found the people and shop owners of Kennebunkport to be very friendly and pleasant. We will definitely go back!

We were really impressed with Nonantum. We were looking for a last-minute weekend getaway, someplace we could relax, enjoy a nice view, hit a local restaurant or two. Our view from the Portside Building was awesome -- a very peaceful view of the river as it enters the bay. The gas stove was a great addition to our fall getaway. Staff were friendly and directed us to parking and good restaurants in town. We went at the end of November, so the place was pretty quiet, which is what we were looking for. Our room included breakfast, which we were surprised was a full buffet. Terrific food. We hope to stay there again.

Gorgeous inn, reasonably priced compared to other times I have spent time in Kennebunkport. Full, delicious breakfast in the morning. The walls are thin, as many other reviewers have stated, but they do offer noise machines, and at that price, comfort and view; one can overlook hearing the neighbors.

We had a nice room, but with the hardwood floors in the rooms, you could hear every step and move on the floor above you.

The hotel resort had many features to make guests comfortable, the food and service was excellent. The rooms were quaintly decorated but had some slightly annoying lighting in the bathroom ( came on automatically and turned off automatically leaving you in the dark)

Would not return. Beautiful surrounds, but once inside the lobby, dining room and especially the junior suites...very run down with less than minimum conveniences. Sitting on small balcony gave us a wonderful view of nature. Unfortunately we were sitting on a balcony where the wood was rotting and everywhere we looked the paint was peeling, gutters falling down. The balcony chairs were obviously new which seemed completely inconsistent with the condition of our room and the building. No place in the room to sit to enjoy a book or watch the news on the TV. Not even a headboard...had to lean against the wall. Had to put toiletries on the commode seat while getting ready for the day, as there was no place to set anything in the bathroom. Was absolutely shocked considering the charge for the room. We have no problem with paying good money, if the accommodations are of equal value to that charge.

The room was very nice and the people who worked there were so friendly and helpful. Loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

The hotel was an old place with a lot of character and was clean and comfortable, but didn't seem quite on par with its price. I stayed in the older part of the hotel. There is an amazing level of floor noise from the room above you which I found disturbing. I think the term 'resort' is a bit of a stretch--it is a hotel on the water, with a pool, a bar, a dining room, and some available rentals (kayaks, bikes) but if you're lookign for a full service resort this isn't the place for you.

On an inlet, very close to town with great restaurants, shopping and galleries. Breakfast buffet was good, not great. Would recommend and stay there again.

I loved staying here! The room was beautiful and the bathtub was actually clean enough to take a bath in. Everyone who worked there was so sweet and caring. The location was great because I could walk to the beach and to the center of Kennebunkport easily. I will certainly stay there again.

Our mattress was extremely uncomfortable, but the manager did send someone up to put a board under it, which helped greatly. Also could use a new elevator, although I guess that's part of the charm. You do have the friendliest staff ever..

Excellent location for visiting Kennebunkport - great food and surroundings

Looked the ceiling was going to fall in at any point. Bed must of been over 30 years old; in severe need up dating!! Brunch and grounds were nice. Would not recommend this hotel!!

The room was well overpriced. The bathroom was extremely small. Service in the dining room was awful. The best thing was the location. Probably would not go back for the price and the not so great comfort

New renovated rooms are comfortable, clean but a bit small. Hotel staff is helpful and attentive. Short walk to town makes this an ideal location.

We had a great time at the Nonantum. We were warmly greeted on arrival, and received wonderful service throughout our stay. The Concierge was friendly and helpful in making dinner reservations for us. The hotel was attractive, the grounds were beautiful, and the location was just a short walk into the center of town. The room was attractive. The only problem was that our bed was a bit less than comfortable, and our location near the main hall and dining room was a bit noisy.

I did not get to the hotel until Midnight. The staff provided me with a room upgrade on the waterfront, which was beautiful. This is a great place, great people, and a beautiful location. I will bring my Wife next time.

the nite we stayed it was extremely noisy due to a wedding going on, i would recommend anyone to ask if that is an event on the days you are staying in the future. ps. the hotel is extremely dated. pretty dissapointing.

This was 5 star for sure. Rooms great the staff kind and always willing to help. Grounds picture perfect. They have a wonderful restaurant unfortunately this was the only down side. The food was outstanding but the service was sooooo slow and not very knowledgeable. All in all a great stay.

LOVED THE MORNING SCONES!!! THEY SHOULD SELL THESE! WISH I COULD GET THE RECIPE! NICE PLACE!

The accommodations were excellent, I only wish it were summer. Would plan to come back again and stay at the same place. It was lovely. Thank you.

Good quality hotel, great friendly service, super facilities, ideally placed to tour the Kennebunkports. Our second visit and looking forward to our next trip!

After a week of rain and it was still raining, it would have been nice to offer upgrades as there were likely plenty of empty rooms available. Othewise, the place is great, may want to think about new flat screen tv's and in- room coffee. Staff was lovely.

Beautiful location a few minutes walk for downtown Kennebunkport. Excellent range of facilities and things to do. Staff very friendly and willing to chat and be helpful. Overall a great place to stay, especially if you have kids- but great even without kids

We had heard very positive comments about the restaurant at the Nonantum before traveling there. Thus, we decided to have dinner there. It was disappointing. We found out from our waiter that night that it ws the head chef''s night off. Thus, suggestio nto others, don't eat at the Nonantum on Sunday evening as it is the chef's night off.

Not worth the price.

Report wad nice ,lol,find out if there is a wedding before you book,however because of age of resort ,wall and floors are thin band can be heard through floor,lol,.

My husband and I has a terrific stay at the Nonantum Resort. The staff is wonderful and went above and beyond for us. The room was beautiful and comfotable and the breakfast buffett was delicious. It was still the off-season so it was quiet and too cold for the pool but all-in all it was a great resort and we'll definitely be back!

Wonderful hotel right on Ocean Avenue and less than a mile from town. Very nice views of the ocean inlet and the beds offer a perfect night of sleep. Hotel folks were polite and very helpful. PS: Watch for the GREAT Brunches on Sunday as well!

Das Hotel ist sehr alt deshalb auch extrem hellhörig. Im Hause fand eine Hochtzeit statt. Laute Musik und die ganze Nacht laute Gäste. Unser Zimmer war sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Die Sauberkeit lies zu wünschen übrig.
