It was awful! The first impression when we opened the door was the overwhelming smell of room deoderizer. It was so overpowering that we had to open the windows to air it out. While the room was airing out, we went to dinner. When we returned, the room was so cold that we tried to turn the heat on. It did not work. I told the clerk and at first he questioned if it was really necessary and then he turned the breaker on. The good news is that the heat then worked. The bad news is that it smelled horrible! It was probably the dust that accumulated over the winter months. Free WiFi is advertised. Got the code to log onto WiFi and the code had expired. TV was only about 14". Decided to brave it out for the night but when I turned down the bedspread and saw that there was not a blanket on the bed....just a sheet and a nasty old bedspread, I decided that I had had enough. So three hours after we checked in, we checked out. Guess what - we still got charged for the room, Which, by the way, was advertised at a decent rate on the website, but with taxes and the hotels.com fee, ended up being quite a bit more. Big waste of money. Hugely disappointed.

The good news is this place is a short walk to the beach, it was clean, the owner is a nice guy who was very helpful. The bad new - It is located above a convenience store. It is old and small, and I could have stayed at the Hampton Inn for the same price.

It is deceiving that the hotel seems to be on the beach. It is substantially away from the ocean. A railroad is probably within 100 feet and the entire room shakes when a train passes by. It looked a cheap motel in an old-movie setting. The room rate has to be reduced drastically to reflect its conditions.

This was a great motel. Great location. great food. It had everything we needed for our two day stay in Old Orchard Beach Maine. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great place without spending a lot of money. The kitchen had enough utensils in it for those who wanted to cook a meal instead of eating out. This was one of the cleanest place I have ever stay in. and I have stay in some $ 200.00 a night motel that were very dirty. The best thing of all was the staff, friendly, and helpful.
