Avista Phuket Resort & Spa, Kata Beach - פוקט

החדרים היו מדהימים. דקורציה חדישה, אמבטיה נהדרת. ליד המיטה היה לוח בקרה, בעזרתו היה ניתן להפעיל כל נקודת חשמל בחדר, על המזגן ועל השעון המעורר. כמו כן, לוח הבקרה הכיל כפתורי "אנא נא לסדר את החדר", ו"נא לא להפריע". מתקני המלון היו איכותיים. מחירי המסעדה היו סבירים בהחלט.הצוות היה ממש ידידותי. מכיוון שלא מצא חן בעיני הנוף מהמרפסת, הם מיד נתנו לי חדר אחר, ואפילו העבירו לשם את כל הציוד עבורנו. מרחק חמש דקות הליכה בלבד מהחוף.

אף על פי ששהיתי במלון לילה אחד בלבד, נהניתי מהחדרף שהיה כה גדול ומאוד נוח! המלון נקי מאוד והצוות ידידותי מאוד. המלון שוכן ליד מתחם השוק וכמה ברים. גם ארוחת הבוקר טובה מאוד!!

החדר שלנו היה זקוק לקצת שיפוץ, המקלחת הייתה מעט בבחינת מטרד, כי חום המים משתנה כל הזמן מקר לחם. רמת הנקיון בחדר הייתה ירודה, ללא קשר לטיפים שניתנו לצורך זה (ניסינו כל סכום בטווח 40-100 באט), והמצעים הוחלפו רק לאחר שישה ימי שהות, וגם זה, רק כאשר בקשנו מאחד מהמנהלים בקבלה לעשות זאת. מבחינת נקודות לחיוב, יש לציין את הנוף לים, שהוא יפה למדי מחדר משודרג, עם מרפסת. כמו כן, החדרים חדישים למדי (תאורה תכלכלה, טלויזיה עם מסך LCD גדול וכו') . הבריכה די נחמדה.

קאטה רחוקה מלהיות איזור נעים חוף קארון עדיף. מהחדר נדף ריח מעופש, והאמבטיה הייתה מלאה עובש. חלק מאריחי האמבטיה היו וחסרים,כך שניתן היה לראות תחתיהם. האינטרנט האלחוטי לא פעל. היה עלינו להמתין בתור בלובי, בכדי להשתמש במחשבים הציבוריים. נקודות האור היחידות היו מזנוני ארוחת הבוקר וארוחת הערב, שהיו, למעשה, מדהימים. בשורה התחתונה, לא אשהה כאן שנית. המזנון אינו מפצה על איכותם הירודה של החדרים ועל חסרונם של המתקנים שצויינו בפרסום.

איזור נופש חדיש מאוד, ארוחת בוקר טובה מאוד, מיקום טוב מאוד, בסמוך לחנויות, וחמש דקות הליכה אל חוף קאטה המקסים. שווה את הכסף למי שמסוגל לצעוד מספר דקות במעלה הגבעה, משום שהמלון שוכן על גבעה.

באופן כללי, אוויסטה (פוקט) הינו מלון ראוי, שהחדרים בו נקיים ונעימים. הטענה היחידה, והעיקרית, נוגעת לעליה התלולה המובילה אל המלון, המצריכה עליה וירידה ברגל כדי להגיע אל הבריככה, אל המתקנים ואל חוף קאטה. לא קל לנסוע עם שני ילדים קטנים, ולשאת אחד תוך כדי הטיפוס במעלה השביל. מלון זה מתאים לאלה שיעדיפו להשאר במתחם המלון ולהנות מהבריכה ומהמתקנים, או לכאלה בעלי מבנה גוף חזק, שיוכלו לעמוד בטיפוס במעלה השביל.

מלון מומלץ ביותר, מתחם בריכה יפהפה, שירות נפלא, מבחר רחב בארוחת הבוקר הדשנה. עם הגעתנו, שודרגנו לחדר גדול יותר, המתקנים במלון היו יוצאים מן הכלל. החסרון היחיד הוא שהמלון שוכן על ראש גבעה, אך הדבר אינו מהווה בעיה. מוניות ממתינות מחוצה לו כדי להסיע אותך אל מחוז חפצך. ההליכה אל חוף הים במורד הגבעה הינה קלה, ואורכת חמש דקות. הטיפוס במעלה הגבעה בחזרה הוא האתגר.

התאכזבנו מאוד כשהגענו מכיוון שנתנו לנו חדר עם נוף לקיר לבנים. אמרו לנו שאין חדרים אחרים פנויים. כשהתלוננו דווקא נתנו לנו חדר אחר. לזכותם יאמר שזו לא הייתה בעיה, למרות שלא הבנתי למה אמרו לנו מראש שאין חדרים אחרים. היינו די מרוצים מהמיקום, למרות שצריך לטפס על גבעה תלולה אם רוצים לשוטט אל חנויות/מסעדות. זו לא הייתה בעיה עבורנו, אבל אחרים עשויים לראות בזה חוסר נוחות. הוא נמצא בין Karon ו-Kata שזה מיקום די טוב. Kata הוא כנראה טוב יותר עבור משפחות. החדרים היו נהדרים ואנחנו בהחלט נשהה כאן שוב!

שהינו במלון רק 3 לילות אחרי חופשה באיי Phi Phi, כך שלא באמת רצינו לבקר בהרבה מקומות ב-Phuket, בגלל שהיא כל-כך תיירותית, אלא רק להירגע ולחקור מעט את הסביבה. זו הפעם הראשונה שאני אומר שהייתי מבקר במקום כלשהו רק בגלל המלון! התאכסנו ב-Avista ויכולנו ללכת בגל לחוף Kata (דקות). המלון נמצא במעלה גבעה אבל היא לא כזו תלולה אם אתם מתחת לגיל 45!! הם מספקים גם הסעה חינם שיכולה להביא אתכם לחלק מחופים (פעמיים ביום אני חושב) - אף פעם לא הזדקקנו להסעה בגלל שזה לא כזה תלול וחוף Kata נמצא במרחק של פחות מ-5 דקות הליכה! החדרים היו גדולים ומדהימים! כה נקיים, כה חדישים, אם חדר אמבטיה נהדר ואינטרנט אלחוטי חינם! הצוות היה מאוד ידידותי ומועיל. הבריכות היו נהדרות, עבור טבילה קצרה אחרי החוף, עם בר נהדר בתוך הבריכה! היה גם חדר משחקים קטן עם שולחנות ביליארד ופינג-פונג (טניס שולחן), שזה פתרון נהדר כשיורד גשם! ארוחת הבוקר והמסעדה היו מדהימות! ארוחת הבוקר היא אחת מארוחות הבופה הטובות ביותר שאכלתי - אל תפספסו! והמסעדה: הסביבה מדהימה, האוכל פשוט נהדר, והמחירים לגמרי סבירים! 1600 באט עבור שני תפריטים מלאים (ראשונה + עיקרית + יין + קינוח). למרות שאנחנו לא אוהבים לאכול ארוחת ערב באותו המקום שבו אנחנו אוכלים ארוחת בוקר, הלכנו לשם פעמיים! ואסור לי לשכוח את הספא! עשינו עיסוי תאילנדי עבור 600 באט לשעה. החדר של הספא היה נהדר, המסאז' לגמרי מקצועי! Puhket הייתה המקום הכי פחות מעניין / יפה שביקרתי בו במהלך החופשה באיי Phi Phi ו-Krabi, אבל המלון הזה הפך את 3 הימים האחרונים של החופשה שלי למדהימים ומרגיעים! זו הפעם הראשונה שאני לא מוצא במלון שום דבר שלילי, ופשוט אוהב כל דבר לגביו!

צוות ידידותי מאוד, נוחויות מודרניות בחדר ומחירים סבירים מאוד במסעדה.

Room is new but hotel location not convenience, there is no public bus to or from airport and downtown, usually taxi don't go this hotel, and taxi is very expensive because it controled by local people.

Great hotel. Very friendly staff, modern clean rooms. Very satisfied

Good hotel, mostly courteous staff n very helpful manager (except hotel van drivers- extremely rude), good location near market n beach. However the taxi thugs right outside the hotel are a nightmare. You just cannot hire a taxi/van/tuk tuk except from them! If you do, they turn abusive n vulgar n threaten/ rough up the drivers of other companies. Even the hotel staff is scared of them n perhaps even working for them discreetly! Won't go back to Avista just bcos of this, ever!

Close to the beaches. Service was fantastic from the staff. Would come again.

Lovely room interiors however our balcony looked onto a wall with no direct daylight. Whilst this may have been reflected in the hotel.com special price, it would have helped managed my expectations a little. Overall, the location was close to shops, restaurants and the lovely Kata beach. Can be great value for families but maybe not best for very young children.

This was the last hotel we stayed in our 16 day trip through Thailand, and it was good, but one of our least favorite compared to the rest, mainly because of Phuket itself. The hotel was clean, nice, had a very friendly and efficient staff, good service, and a great pool. So for the purpose of staying in Kata Beach it was good. However, it was on a large hill that made getting back and forth to it inconvenient, the surrounding area was a bit run down and certainly nothing interesting or special, and Kata Beach disappointed us, mainly due to the large crowd, but also from its aesthetics. We were very happy that we had only planned one day there. Compared to the hotels, costs, and surrounding environments in Ao Nang and Railay Beach in Krabi, Ko Phi Phi, and Phang Nga just one hour north of Phuket, this hotel and location didn't compare. Again, decent and good for Phuket, but left us very happy that we had not spent more time there.

overall very nice and Good...but lot of mosquitos

Great family hotel at Kata beach. Good service. Good kids club. Nice pool and wonderful breakfast. Free Wifi. Close to beach. Plenty of restaurants down at the main streets. Challenging climb up a steep hill. Nearby taxi are not cheap.

Great accommodation close to family friendly beach

My family loved every minute of our stay at Avista. We are already planning to come back next year, as long as the price stays competitive ?? Maybe the Hotel shuttle bus could run a little more often, as the cab fares start to build up after a while, but overall it is a Fantastic Hotel.

Really enjoyed the stay in this nice resort. Clean and big family rooms. Nice facilities well maintained. Very nice pool. Very friendly staff always trying to help.

This is a great hotel for rest and relaxation. We stayed only one night but wished we could have stayed longer. Very clean rooms and adequate amenities. The staff was friendly and helpful. We will definitely book this hotel again when in Thailand.

the hotel located uphill which annoying to go up and down to buy something or to eat and its in quit area and far from activities

The property is well maintained. The service and food at hotel was very good. We booked Club room which is huge and has great glass wash room. The only issue I found is traveling up the hill which is quite steep. But overall nice resort.

First off, this hotel is atop a pretty large hill. You will have to walk at about a 75 degree angle for about 10 minutes if you don't take taxis. The service was good from a roomservice prospective but the service in the lobby is frustrating with constant offers and poor english. The rooms are very nice and modern and have a good overall flow. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone not in physical condition to walk. Also, location from the beach and city center is not the best.

Outstanding service, great location, amazing rooms (after two nights in the nicer room, we've upgraded to the most beautiful suite ever...).

Lovely hotel, we enjoyed our stay family with 2 young boys. Only issue was service was a little too slow, its good to slow down on holiday but things were a little too slow in the restaurant. Excellent location for beach and up on a hill for added Tsunami protection. Really nice staff in general which made a great stay, also bigger than the Peach hotel next door so a better option. Kids club was ok for our group, even had PS3 for the slightly older ones.

Avista is a great hotel. Very friendly staff and good location away from the noisier parts of Kata/Karon beach. Breakfast is top notch! After staying in Avista, we spent 6 nights in a very expensive five star hotel and I would say that Avista's breakfast is better. The only down side is that the free shuttle bus (to Kata beach and Patong beach) only runs two times a day, which is not enough.

The hotel had great service and staff. Everyone was very helpful and courteous. My wife and I lost some very expensive UV protection that we brought from the States (which they do not sell here in Asia). The staff was able to locate and return these to us the next day! The hotel restaurant also ran some pretty affordable specials for lunch and dinner. I highly recommend this hotel

This hotel lived up to all our expectations. As a commercial pilot, I've stayed in countless hotels the world over, and the Avista will rate as one of the best I've ever experienced. To name but a few points: - Friendly, helpful and motivated staff throughout the hotel. - Excellent rooms of a high standard, clean and functional. - Very reasonable bar and restaurant prices for a hotel of this standard (ok, it was low season, but still) - Great location, close to the beach and the nicer part of Kata town, but still tucked out of the way. - Good facilities, nice pools - Great breakfast I can appreciate that the steep hill up to the hotel may present a problem for some, but you've got to work off all that good food somehow! The Avista is good value for money and we will definitely be returning.

We have booked 4 rooms in Avista for vacation with my family members. Rooms are clean and spacious. Peoples are helpful and polite. Free wifi Facilities are just right. Just few choice of restaurant in the resort and a bit steep from the Resort to the beach.

We were there at Phuket to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. I chose Avista based on all the good reviews I read and photos I saw from the web. The hotel is situated on a slope that offers a good view of the sea. It's only less than 5 mins walk to Kata Beach and nearby eateries. It is new (< 3 years old), modern, serene & tranquil. We were received with a warm welcome & were served with a nice fruit punch and towels. The staffs were ever so friendly, courteous and helpful. The deluxe room which we stayed comes with a super king bed, beautiful toilet with a shower cubicle big enough for 2. There were also 4 types of pillow to select from to your liking. Everything was very comfortable & clean. The beautiful photos you see on the hotel website are exactly what you will get and experience. The body massage in the Spa within the hotel is also v gd (don’t waste yr $ with those by the beach or roadside).We had a very pleasant and memorable stay here. Highly recommended, thumbs up !! I loved this place so much, i got a little teary when i had to leave, the staff were excellent and super helpful. You can chose between two beaches one 500 mts away another about a 1km. Swim up bar makes excellent drinks and the food at their resturant was excellent too. We initially booked for 4 days, we liked it soo much we extended our stay another 3 days through hotels.com, as it was cheaper then booking through the hotel.

Overpriced, Thai food which was good, but the pizza has to be the worst I've ever seen and it was three times more xpensive than the Thai meals. There are better hotels in Phuket.

This is such a great hotel! They treat their guests very well and is just a downhill walk away from the town. Had a great two nights here! So relaxing!

If you're considering spending your vacation at Avista Hotel, we can only recommend it! Great service, friendly and helpful staff, great room excellent pools with a bar (accessible from the water!), free gym and free shuttle service to the beach and "crazy" Pa Tong Beach. They also have a spa, but the massage parlors in Kata (town) are much cheaper than the hotel's spa. You will need about 5 min. walking to town (food, bars, etc.) and about 15 min to Kata Beach and Karon beach. To the beautiful Nai Harn beach it will take you about 30 min. by car, but if you're not going to rent a one, make sure to get a metered taxi at the airport (after you leave the building, turn right and walk 30m, they are the yellow-blue ones) and ask the driver for his phone number to call him whenever you need a ride (cheaper and safer than the red "tuk tuks"). Have fun at the Avista Hotel!

We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The staff were all friendly and efficient. The room was very nice as was all the hotel facilities. The only critism was that the spa was expensive.

i really enjoyed my stay at this hotel, the staff are really freindly, the rooms are really big and the bed is super comfortable. There is nothing to complain about this hotel, it was very high standard
