We loved everything about it except for one small quibble - there should be a bit more room for hanging towels and wet clothing. Five persons going horseback riding come back with wet things and it would be good to have another rack.

We stayed at the Embassy Luxury Apartments for three nights from the 26th March. Tour buses pick up and drop off directly outside. It is a short walk to the harbour and town centre. We stayed in apartment 110 which has it’s own front door outside. It is a partially basement apartment. You go down a few steps to enter. Looking out the windows you are looking out a little above ground level. Heating was on 24 hours a day with ample hot water. The kitchen is a good size with everything you could ask for if you want to cook meals. The lounge has two large leather sofa’s and a single leather chair. I believe one of the sofa’s converts to a bed. A large coffee table is central and a smaller one between the two sofa’s. There is a cordless phone with it’s own telephone number. You can receive calls and make calls within Iceland free of charge. Other calls are chargeable. Wi-fi is also included and worked without any problems. There is a 42 inch flat screen television with DVD player and satellite system. All the staff were friendly and helpful and the apartment was cleaned daily and items replenished. We booked through www.hotel.com and got a price which we thought was excellent. We really enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.

Owners and staff very very helpful, nothing too much trouble. Appartment was fantastic there was so much space and very comfortable, everything was supplied, location was close to town.

We had a very enjoyable stay. We loved having a kitchen as we could cook for ourselves some evenings. Everything was provided in the kitchen. The room was very clean and the service was easy to use. It is situated really close to the centre about a 5 minute walk. We loved it!

We Stayed 5 nights in Reykjavik and thought it was a perfect spot. it was very convenient for Harpa and a 5 min walk to the Main Street. It was by a lake with noisy geese and swans but we found the sound quite entertaining as opposed to annoying! We arrived to stocked cupboards as we availed of their shopping service and I'd recommend this if you're planning a self catering trip to Reykjavik. It was very warm and a good spot all in all.

Couldn't fault anything about our five day stay at this location

The location is wonderful -- a short walk from the center of town. Service in the hotel is minimal, but the room is clean and functional and the price is certainly right.

This is a great place to stay. You are right at the doorstep of the city, everything is within walking distance. It's great to have a kitchen right in your suite because food can get expensive in Iceland. The staff was very nice, they let us check in early and check out late to accommodate our flights. Can't say enough good things about this place.

On Embassy Row?! quiet, very convenient location close to Reykjavik city center, nice(!) neighborhood, clean, apartment was very reasonable price, lots of helpful info on surroundings and transportation options to airport etc.

A nice little apartment very close to downtown. The extra kitchen space allowed us to cook breakfast and save some $ (food is very expensive in Iceland). Just make sure you know what complex you are staying in before you get dropped off! (They are in 2 different locations). Clean, well maintained and friendly

Very good stay, very clean and nice room. Bathroom was a little small. Location is really close to main areas, very short walk to shops and bars.

We stayed in room 100 of the Embassy Apartments in June 2012. It was very well maintained and cleaned and fresh towels supplied every day. Large pleasant rooms. Shower cubicle was tiny but contained a good powerful shower. Complimentary coffee /tea and sugar supplied and restocked each day. Security was below average, but I'm not going to specify the minor weaknesses in security in a public review. In any case, the crime rate in Iceland is very low and we didn't have any problems. The apartments are located in a quiet residential street but still only10 minutes leisurely walk from the centre and 5 minutes to the nearest grocery store. We would recommend this as a perfect place to use as a base to visit Iceland.

What a charming town. The hotel was only a few blocks from the city center in a quiet neighborhood. Weekends are out of control and noisy in the city center so this was very appreciated. the company has 2 locations. We were originally booked in one then they changed us to another. this caused problems with tour pick-up and getting to the right hotel the first night.

The hotel is very comfortable, well appointed, and has charming helpful people working there. It is in city centre so we were able to walk everywhere, including the grocery store. The kitchen has everything that you need for basic cooking. We would definitely go back!!

The Embassy House Apartments are a good, safe, alternative to a high cost downtown hotel. The staff were very eager to do what they could to ensure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and pleased. The only improvements that could have been made were in the size of the bed (we had reserved a king bed room, and got something equivalent to a small queen--which was fine up until we got sunburned at the Lagoon!) There are two locations, make sure you know which you are truly in so you can keep from walking the 7 plus blocks to get to the proper location! And don't listen to any one trying to tell you you need to check in somewhere else! ONLY listen to the instructions provided by Embassy House!

We stayed in a small unit in the garden area - just one room with tiny kitchen and small bath. The shower drain was slow and the hot water could get scalding quickly. Everything was clean, even if the mattress was getting old. Location next to the Thornin and just a few blocks to the city center was perfect. We easily found street parking and walked around the city center and the bay. Great place for a couple nights as a base in Reykjavik.

The location of this place is excellent. Right in the heart of the city, close to all the major attractions and shopping districts, you couldn't do better. It's even close to a grocery store, and street parking is ample and very cheap (<200IKR/day). The apartment itself was clean, neat and adequate. The kitchen was a bit small, but for two people in a studio apartment on vacation, it was plenty ample to do what it had to do. We had an excellent stay, in an excellent neighborhood, for an excellent place. Highly recommend it!

Me and my husband recently stayed at Castle House Apartment and we were very happy with our stay. It looked even better than the photos I saw on the website and the location is very good too :).

A few minutes walk to the city centre, very quiet location, everything you could need for a self catering holiday including lots of tea & coffee supplies, the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in, the apartments owners are not on site but when we had a problem with the power they turned up within ten minutes and resolved this, great place to stay, highly recommended.

Clean convenient hotel, close to all the center of town attractions. Reykjavik is amazing and all the people are wonderful. The hotel staff was no exception and they were very accommodating to our early arrival and late departure. I would definitely stay there again!

I only regret spending just one night at the Castle House. Location could not be better, in the centre and still very quiet. Had everything we needed, kitchenette, satellite TV with all the UK channels, free wi fi, friendly and helpful staff. We will be back !

Mye bra å si om dette. At rommene er utstyrt med kjøkken er veldig praktisk. Vi bodde på Castle Luxury Apartments (Embassy ligger et annet sted) og det tar maks fem minutter å rusle til hovedgaten. Leilighetene blir vasket hver dag, slik som på hotell, og standarden er god. Vi var litt spent da vi kom, siden det ikke er noe resepsjon, men de slipper deg inn via et callingsystem også ligger det en konvolutt med ditt navn på som inneholder nøkkel til leilighet og annen info. Det var ikke noe problem da de er flinke til å følge opp og sørge for at du har det du trenger, og de ringer deg hvis de ikke får møtt deg. God service, veldig hjelpsomme folk, fint rom og god beliggenhet.

Bra leilighetshotell med gode senger og flott beliggenhet. Kan anbefales.

dvölin var frábær :) ég hefði hins vegar viljað fá örlítið skýrari upplýsingar þegar ég kom að hótelinu, um hvernig maður ætti að fá samband (komast inn) og hvert maður fer í framhaldi, t.d. að það væri umslag sem beði mín með lyklum :) allt annað var frábært og ég geri ráð fyrir að ég komi til með að nýta mér hótelið aftur

Vi var fire voksne og hadde en leilighet med tre soverom to minutters gange fra sentrum. Det var ikke noe ekstremt høy standard, men det var rent, alle sengene var gode og det var supert å kunne ha litt mat liggende på kjøkkenet så vi ikke måtte ut hver gang en av oss var litt småsulten. For oss fire ble dette vesentlig rimeligere enn hotell og langt hyggeligere.

Var veldig fornøyd med denne leiligheten som lå i byen, den var ren og hyggelig og hadde eget kjøkken med kokeplater, mikrobølgeovn, kjøleskap, kaffetrakter og vannkoker. Det var også lett å få parkert i gata rett utenfor.

Bokade en stor lägenhet på Embassy Luxury Apartments - 3 sovrum - och är nöjd med boendet. Mycket rimlig, bra utrustad och läget utmärkt för vistelse i Reykjavik. Enda nackdelen var att det endast var 1 badrum och det relativt litet.

Stille og rolig område, veldig sentralt - bra utstyrt. Fremstår som rent og nytt.

空港からの送迎バスで到着したら、ロビーやレセプションがなく、入り口のベルを鳴らしたら鍵が空いて、入ったら予約者の名前と鍵が置いてあった。それを取って部屋を探すと、離れのような部屋だった。開けると、シングルベットとソファーとキッチンとテーブル、バスルームがある普通のアパートのような構造だった。ホテルをイメージしていたので、少しショックだったが、よく考えれば名前がアパートメントなので納得。しかしベットしかもシングルが1つしかない。レセプションに電話するとソファーベットのようなので納得したが、ダブルルームを希望したかったが、ツアーの時間が迫っていたので、変えてもらう余裕もなく、仕方なく使うことにした。 清潔度は個人的に少しカビが気になったのと、全体的に少し安っぽい作りだった。 立地は湖のほとりで眺めも良く、中心街まで徒歩5〜10分と便利だった。 私が予約したツアーがすべてホテル送迎付きなのだが、ロビーもレセプションもないので外で寒くて雨の中立ったまま、送迎バスを待たないといけなかったのが一番のマイナス点であった。値段も安かったので、仕方ないが普通のロビーのあるホテルを予約すればよかったと後悔しました。 キッチンなど設備は良かった。が、物価はそこまで高くなかったので外食できたので、あまり使わなかった。 ホテルの周辺地図や観光案内パンフレットや近くのスーパーやカフェの案内があり、とても役に立った。 また、高速無線インターネットも無料でよかった。 シャワーのみだが、温泉水質で快適だった。 もしまたアイスランドにくることがあったら、別のホテルを予約すると思う。

Dette stedet ligger veldig sentralt og nær det meste. Vi ble innlosjert i "in the garden" (bakgården). Rommet inneholt det som var nødvendig men med bare en seng, det var en xtremt sliten sofa som kunne brukes til å sove på for 1 og ikke 2 voksene som den egentlig skulle ha taklet. Dette rommet var egentlig for 3 men hadde faktisk behaglig sove plass for 1 i sengen. Synes dette burde kommet frem i bestillingen at det var bare 1 seng. Skal jeg bruke dette stedet igjen ville jeg ha sikkret meg at det er to senger på rommet. Ellers så var dette et helt greit sted.

We stayed in Embassy Luxury Apartments for a week. The apartment has a great location close to city center but still in quiet neighborhood. The apartment was fully equipped and all the arrangements worked as a charm. We received few emails from the apartment owner before our trip giving us plenty of information and links on Reykjavik and Iceland.

Der Name führt in die Irre, die Appts. haben einen für Island normalen, durchaus preiswerten Standard. Der Zugang (einziger Kontakt über einen mürrischen Menschen am Telefon) gestaltete sich an einem Pfingstsonntag als Hürdenlauf. Lage meines Appts. im Hof war enttäuschend. Sonst guter Durchschnitt, ich würde aber nicht länger als eine Nacht buchen.
