Although the hotel boasted that all rooms were non-smoking, there was a distinct smell of cigarettes on the saturday evening/sunday morning along the corridor where our room was situated and also the smell invaded our room throughout the night.We did complain to the hotel on the sunday morning and they confirmed that someone had been smoking in the premises.

Easy to find and great greeting from front desk. No fussing with lots of paperwork to sign and was away to my room within a few minutes. Room was good size, clean and tidy but slightly chilly. Soon located the wall heater which was slow to get room warmer but not a problem as went down for dinner. OMG - Great bar meal - duck pate to die for, steak but not many chips, and cheescake. Good quiet night sleep down to decent breakfast and left to easy check out. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Short and simple review. Its awesome and you will really enjoy the friendly service and comfort of the hotel and dining area.

We were just dissapointed not to have anything to eat on our arrival...........it was 10.30pm...we were offered a packet of crisps! Apart from that all was fine.

Had wonderful stay polite staff food was of a good standard the room was lovely will defiantly stay again . Thank you.

Stayed here as part of a business trip to Birchwod Park. This hotel offers the best value for money in the area but don't expect luxury. You get friendly staff, a comfortable bed and decent food.

We were on our way for a holiday in Cyprus and opted to stay overnight in Manchester. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, the meal was good and the rooms clean and comfortable. The price was very reasonable and I would recommend it to anyone.

Had to wait to check in for 10 minutes because there was a wedding going on. Had to ring the hotel to get someone to check me in. The man who checked me in was very helpful and all staff were friendly but when I got upstairs my room was freezing because the heating was off and the window was wide open.

A really nice hotel - the service was great & the staff were exceptionally friendly. Everything was very clean & tidy and the breakfast was excellent. Compared to the Premier Inn and Travel Lodge, both of which charge extra for breakfast, the Rhinewood was great value for money & offered comparable, if not better, accommodation & service. Plus it is in a very quiet location & only 10mins from Trafford Park. Excellent hotel - highly recommended. Will be staying their again!

Nice hotel could do with some updating in places,breakfast ok not the best I must say, on arrival receptionist was on phone talking to a friend took a couple of minutes for her to notice I was waiting.

Comfortable hotel with pleasant garden area. Friendly staff and good food. Great watching TV in bed on 32" flat screen!

This hotel was chosen for its convenient location halfway between Edinburgh and Guildford as a stop-off on a very long solo drive. It is a lovely hotel set in country surroundings but near the M6. Staff were very pleasant and helpful; the room was big, nice decor, very clean and comfortable with a big flatscreen TV on the wall and easy wifi too. The bed was very comfortable and I had the best "full English" breakfast I have had for years (included in the price). Overall it was excellent.

I really enjoyed my stay at Rhinewood Country Hotel and would definitely recommend it. The bathroom was a bit dated but clean and really comfortable and the room was much better than a four star hotel I have stayed in in Amsterdam's Museumplein recently. My only problem was that it was a bit far from Warrington where I had to be for a wedding and cab companies weren't reliable but I would definitely recommend Rhinewood to guests for a country break or getaway. Staff were friendly and helpful and I was very comfortable.
