Holiday Music Motel - Sturgeon Bay

This motel was very clean and super friendly people. I would only suggest that the breakfast expand a tiny bit. It was mostly pastries and other carbs.

It was great. Continental breakfast offered more than I anticipated. All in all a great place to stay

We were weary about staying at such a low cost motel; but once we saw the condition of our room that disappeared. The bed was so comfortable and the room very clean. The walls are thin and small children were above us the last nighit; we could hear them running around. But, all in all, we would stay at the motel again. Can't beat the price!

Great location for Sturgeon Bay activities, walk to restaurants and shopping. Retro decor and a nice staff. Very basic breakfast is included. A good option for a weekend on the cheap. No frills but the price is right.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was inexpensive but very high quality. We also really enjoyed the proximity to the main street. One of the best places I've stayed for that price.

the place was pleasant and the reception staff competent. The comfort of the beds was really nice, the furniture came out typically 50 years, the bonus was the breakfast at the "bar". We had the chance to exchange few words with people who had crossed Jackson Browne at the reception desk the previous week, it was very interesting. We did not know that Pat Mac Donald wrote fiction;)

I have stayed here several times for its central location and value. No imenities like workout room but always neat and clean with comfortable beds. Breakfast is a bonus.

Great place to stay but book early cuz it fills up quick!

Wonderful.....brought back memories from our wedding year in l955!! It was in the center of downtown Sturgeon Bay, quiet, very clean, and the area where we had breakfast was an old time diner. Couldn't believe how inexpensive it was. Will definately recommend it.

Very nostalgic. Everything very handy. Did not like the fact that you could hear what everyone was saying in the next room.

Extremely friendly staff, room was small but clean and retro furniture was a great idea. Only complaint about room was that TV was very small. Overall decor of motel was very unique. Included breakfast was decent but it would have been nice if there was a little more variety. Convenient location, restaurants to eat at nearby and easy to get out of town and head further up into Door County. Very reasonably priced compared to other options in Door County. Would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was very nice and not like you would expect. The rooms were very clean and the staff was very friendly. The small diner was a hit with the kids for breakfast.

The hotel was clean, the employees were friendly and helpful, the price was right and it was centrally located. The beds were comfortable and my wife loved them! The Wi-Fi was handy and overall, we'd stay again. A nice place to stay.

Just great

We enjoyed the cute retro breakfast dining area and the Christmas tree with all of the retro toys underneath. But the BEST thing for me (because I have health and pain issues) was the inviting and truly comfortable beds and pillows! We also enjoyed sitting on the roomy white wooden chairs with our morning coffee, and my friends enjoyed the opportunity of having an outside fire on one of the evenings we were there. :-)

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The theme of the of the motel was the 1950's including the furniture and artwork. I would stay there again in a heartbeat.

The room reminded my husband and me of places we stayed with family a few decades ago (as kids), but a bit more cheerful. Clean, comfy, no noise problems (I followed another reviewer's advice to opt for an upstairs room; don't know whether it mattered), convenient do-it-yourself breakfast including decent coffee and congenial hosts and guests. Overall, I liked it better than the chain hotel we stayed at a couple years ago. We didn't interact with the staff much, but I felt they'd be there if we needed them. It was a good "home base" for our excursions around Door County.

The rooms are old with old retro furniture, but it was quiet and the bed was comfortable. I don't think it was worth the money.

The beds were fabulous. Very comfortable. Great sheets, comforter and lots of pillows. Slept like a rock. The hotel is really neat and very authentic.

Great little motel and close to shops

Great unique motel and awesome location. The staff/owners were very friendly and helpful. The replica 50's diner counter was unique and a great gratis breakfast. Perfect location to walk to downtown or the Bay. Got a chance to catch the great musician owners at the open mic night at a local corner tavern on a Wednesday night. Would definitely stay here again and again. Very cool place!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Like other reviews say, it is a throwback to the old time motel, but the Thursday nite up in the studio is so much fun. Just for meeting Pat, I feel like I am a better person. Thanks for the experience.

Loved it that they provide ear plugs in bedside table. Great location for a reasonable price.

Not a cookie cutter motel. Fun breakfast area in the morning. Great conversation. Very friendly and accomidating!

The people who work at the motel were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast bar was a 50's lunch counter, but there could have been more room for the guests to prepare their breakfast. The ambiance made up for the need for more space. We were close to the water, and we could easily get to the roads that took us to other parts of Door County.

Clean nice inexpensive close to what we wanted to do.....second time there, would stay again

Awesome 1950's Motel!! Very comfortable beds! Loved it!

Discovered this little gem by accident and got to re-live vacationing with the family in the station wagon on road trips during gradeschool days. This motel is right out of the 50's and extremely well maintained. It's kind of a sleeper and something you might see while motoring through Arizona or New Mexico on old Route 66. Had that endearing look about it from the road--two storey, white with red trim, old style "Holiday Motel" sign, simple parking lot in front. As you're walking to the front door you're starting to feel it. Enter the lobby/front desk area and it's 1955 all over again. Lots of real period pieces all around you and on the walls and you know you've just got to stay here. Wait till you see the breakfast area! Just like the old malt shop and Happy Days. Got the last room upstairs and was overjoyed. Again, almost everything original 50's: beds, chairs, dresser, lamps, even the color of paint on the walls. You're a block or so away from the charming little downtown area of Sturgeon Bay. Nice sampling of restaurants, shops, etc. You'll be so happy you stayed here. Also, the woman at the front desk was very pleasant and accommodating. There's a little music area upstairs she'll tell you about.

This place is delightful; it is such a fun trip back to the 50's with everything very "dated" and yet, very clean and functional. Only problem was that there doesn't seem to be the normal sound insulation between the first and second floor so we woke when the people upstairs entered there room at 12:30 am; then woke again when someone upstairs must have needed to go the bathroom, etc. It was a full house so I can understand. Next time I would get a second floor room (if it's the busy season) and perhaps bring along a white noise machine. We would definitely stay there again. It was so unique!!
