Best Western Hotel Balmoral - Saint-Malo

Overall hotel was good: Across saint malo train station, clean, new, close to old town. the only thing that was bad was the reception staff who was rude and arrogant even if you tried speaking French she still was not helpful. Had to ask another staff to get decent customer service.

Very nice modern rooms in location within about 15 min walk from old city centre.

We needed a hotel for one night before getting the train from St Malo and this hotel was just right, only 5 mins from the station. Rooms were clean and a good size. We also needed a cot which the hotel provided free of charge.

Would recoamend to family and friends. Warm welcome and very clmean hotel

The Best Western St. Malo is a very new hotel,,excellent service , spotlessly clean near the train station/port and a short 15 minute walk to the walled city. We chose city parking, right in front of the hotel, always plenty of spaces, free from 1900 to 0900, and fed the meter at night to sleep in late the next morning I think it was 1 euro per two hours, .My only gripes were inconsistent WIFI in the room, it went in and out, always came right back, but was a nuisance. Also the shower barrier was too short for the shower so it always leaked and we had to use an additional towel to mop up the excess water after every shower. If you want coffee/tea in your room in the morning it is free on request from the lobby, they will give you a tray and coffeepot. Over all a very nice stay.

The staff were very helpful, the room was clean. About 10 mins walk from the old part right next to the train station. They also let me check in early. Would definately return

Very nice hotel, located within a 20 minute walk to the old city and very close to train station. Very good breakfast for 11EUR. The room was clean, sufficient room and storage. The bed was not comfortable for us. If you like a very firm mattress, it will be fine but we woke up aching all over. Other than the bed - it was a very nice stay.

We had an extremely good deal at this hotel. It is a lovely hotel within walking distance of the IntraMuros and very close to the train station if you want to get about by taxi. Staff are very friendly and helpful, hotel is very clean and the rooms very spacious and comfortable

The Hotel is close to the histororic "Intra-Munros", the beach, the Ferries Terminal, the Railway Station, and many restaurants. Plenty of car parking space outside of the Hotel. The Hotel is of a very high standard, with lifts and all facilities beautifully furnished.

Very convenient for train station, 10 -15 min walk from old city and bus stops nearby for buses to other areas of town including ferries. (it is a circular route so approx 1/2 hour - 45 min bus ride to ferries & about 15-20 min from the ferries). Hotel is modern, very clean and reception staff friendly & helpful. Didn't take breakfast so cannot comment on the breakfast area or standard of food. If you don't want to pay hotel rates for breakfast there are a number of cafes which provide drinks & croissants . I travel a lot to & from Paris so will consider staying again if my transport doesn't match up.

Fantastic hotel! Highly recommended! Its bright new place, close to old town with few bars and shops around. Next door to railway station and walking distance to old St Malo! You will not be disappionted thats for sure. I booked single room with double bed and just wondering how big are double rooms as mine was really lovely size with balcony and very stylish deco! Would i be back? No questions about it!!! And i'm very picky with places! Loved it!

a very modern very clean hotel, staff really helpful, location perfect for trainand bus station. The only thing we would comment is this is the only hotel we have stayed in that dont supply tea and coffee making facilities in the room

Very nice and new hotel. Staff very helpful. Location 15-20 min walk to main beach, 35-40 min walk to old town where there are numerous restaurants. Taxis are expensive.

Superbe hotêl, chambre moderne, spacieuse et propre, une salle de bain spacieuse et propre. Hotêl près de la gare mais aucun bruit. services de qualité. une grande TV dans la chambre

Manque de précisions au moment de la réservation sur le choix des chambres.Pour nous lit trop petit

Es un hotel nuevo, y perfecto. Muy bonito, de diseño, muy cómodo. No está intra muros, pero se puede ir andando. LA persiona que nos atendió en recepción encantadora, nos ayudó en todo.

ottima l'accoglienza al nostro arrivo: la persona alla reception è stata molto gentile e ci ha fornito preziose indicazioni sui luoghi che volevamo visitare

mauvaise pour une chaine qui prétend avoir une literie de qualité supérieure ! Nuit blanche due à un matelas et sommier complétement hors d'usage. Bouilloire et miroir de maquillage absents bien qu'annoncés dans le descriptif lors de la réservation - A l'arrivée, réponse à notre question stationnement : terre plein alentour ? alors que nous avons découvert le lendemain matin que certains clients bénéficiaient d'un parking.

Un hôtel de chaîne impersonnel mais sans les avantages de ce type d'hôtel. Parking complet. La zone est à parcmètre et l'on ne peut rester que deux heures, ce qui rend impossible de laisser sa voiture.Il a été difficile d'avoir le petit déjeuner à la chambre: on me l'a d'abord refusé sous prétexte du monde, en me disant qu'on ne me promettait pas de le faire très vite. On me l'a finalement amené dans un délai raisonnable, mais parce que j'ai insisté.Le quartier est en reconstruction: la vue de la fenêtre affreuse.

hotel très agréable dans sa décoration et le confort des chambres.Peut être un peu excentré mais facile d'accès et avec parking.ensemble très satisfaisant pour mon court séjour professionnel

bon accueil mais le plateau avec bouilloire pourrait se trouver dans la chambre au lieu de le demander à la reception

Excellent accueil - Personnel attentionné, poli et très sympathique Chambre correcte - propre - Idem partie communes Environnement moyen mais proche cité intra muros Gros souci avec la connexion internet

Excellent rapport qualité/prix Situé en face de la gare : avantage mais du coup assez loin du centre ville et du littoral

Ett relativt nytt hotell som ligger en minut från tågstationen och ca 15 minuter från den gamla delen av St Malo. Allt är fräscht och snyggt. Frukosten var ganska tråkig men inte dålig. Vistelsen kändes prisvärd.

Suite à notre séjour dans un des hôtels Best Western (Balmoral), nous sommes très satisfaits du service hôtelier et notamment de l'accueil de Françoise. Merci encore.

très bel hotel, superbe déco avec photos d'artiste dans les chambres, très calme, très bon accueil..établi sur l'ancienne gare donc secteur en cours de développement avec quelques commerces à proximité; manque de bons petits restaurants à coté mais les murs de st malo en ont de fameux....

We had the superior room, it was big. The location was good, the hotel was located between the city and the railwaystation. However the parking garage is too narrow. We have a big car and it took us some time to get in and out. Also the price for the garage is way too much for what it is worth (10 or 12 euros per day, do not remember what it was anymore).

Superbe hotel, style moderne, tres propre, très bon acceuil. Dommage tout cela est gaché car toute la zone est en travaux et l'isolation des vitrages n'est pas top. Donc réveil au doux bruit des marteaux piqueurs et des étudiants manifestants. Je reproche aussi l'absence d'un drap de lit, seul une couette avec housse est disponible et quand l'on a trop chaud!!!!! Dommage car on y serait tellement bien!!!
