Chelsea Savoy Hotel - ניו יורק

We were really satisfied with this hotel, since it has a great location and close to interesting places. We used subway most of the time (red line 1,2,3) you can go to Time Square or downtown easily. Bedroom and bathroom were clean. Staff was friendly and they arrange taxis to go to the airport really early in the morning. Breakfast it's ok, just for bagel and coffee, there are other breakfast options closed by if you are really hungry for breakfast, there is a Wholefoods really close. I definitely recommend this option for family and couples. Just a note that someone was smoking and smell was on third floor through the elevator, other than that, it was great!

No complaints from these two adults and two kids who stayed 4 nights. The room and surroundings were clean, every request was attended to, toiletries and towels were replaced everyday, breakfast was good and plentiful, front desk staff members were efficient and business-like (suits me fine, maybe some people prefer warm and fuzzy). The location is superb -- a few steps to the subway, and a grocery, restaurants, pharmacy all within a few minutes' walk. Highly recommended.

Low key and wonderful. Prompt delivery of additional towels, fresh bagels and coffee. Great location. Clean rooms.

Everyone was very nice and helpful. The only negative that we have is the beds are like sleeping on concrete. However, it is very conveniently located.

I love the Chelsea neighborhood and this hotel is right in it. No lobby seating but there were coffee shops and restaurants very close by so we just met at one of those. It was a pretty typical inner-city hotel with small rooms etc. I was on the 3rd floor with big windows overlooking two busy streets so there was a lot of street noise. If you have a hard time sleeping with that kind of noise, this would not be a good room. The price was right.

good basic place

Frequent traveler to NYC, first time here and not again. Picked for the location and the price, but overall felt shabby and extremely noisy on the street, even for NY. Felt like it had not been updated since the early '80s. Paid around $200 but have stayed in numerous other properties that felt much better for similar price.

Room furniture and decor needs some major updating. Polyester, quilted bedspreads are usually offered at much cheaper hotels. The beds were HARD and low. The windows did not have any drapes that closed, only cosmetic, allowing too much sun streaming into the room in the morning. The desk staff was not friendly and seemed annoyed when I shared with them that the drain in the shower was super slow and backs up into the tub. I also shared that the shower makes a loud whine sound unless it is turned all the way hot. I would definitely NOT stay here again. The only real plus was the location.

This hotel met the bare minimum in most aspects, but that was all that I needed or expected for the price.

Hi stayed here for four nights in early March. Had three teens with me and we stayed in a room with two double beds. For the price, we didn't expect much and it was an OK hotel. The service at the front desk was not good at all (didn't respond to questions, had some attitude when we requested four towels for our room), but they did come through with the extra towels in the end. The maid service was EXCELLENT and, even though the surroundings are just OK, the room was very clean and they always remembered to leave us enough towels! Breakfast = bagels and coffee downstairs - but what bagels. We loved them. Location can't be beat

Great location to walk the highline early morning before the crowds!

Small room, friendly staff (shocking in NYC), decent breakfast, good location.

This place is close to everything. It's definitely not a 5-star hotel, however, it's very clean, comfortable, and a great location. It's a perfect family hotel with pastries and bagels for breakfast and it's also quiet (for NYC). We are already planning our next trip to NYC and plan on staying in this hotel. By the way, if you stay here, it's to your advantage to spend some time learning the subway and bus system to get the most out of the location.

Stay was good. The room was clean and price was reasonable for the location it was in. Was also happy that breakfast was provided although its simple pastries and coffee.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the room. We had a window with a nice view of the street. The staff was very nice and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Hotel and room is not fanncy but clean. Convenient location and a few steps to subway.

No problems, except breakfast was 15min late (scheduled for 8am).

It was an all around perfect stay in the city. This 23rd and 7th Ave. hotel was the perfect location for our event. It was clean, friendly, and we definitely couldn't beat the price! We would come back and recomment in a heartbeat!

good-not expensive

Hotel was simple but so clean and comfortable for very good value. Really nice location close to major attractions by foot or subway; Times Square , Greenwich village , Chinatown , etc. not too far from La Guardia airport$40 max in traffic. Great eateries around the neighborhood as well as food market. I would stay again. Hotel staff were fine not too friendly but not rude either. Answered all questions but did not offer more. All in all, a pleasant place to stay for a reasonable price.

They changed the keys to the door while we were out and did not inform us. Late at night it is not cool to be locked out of your room. Front deck didn't seem to care. Didn't keep the coffee pot full either. A lot of foreign speaking was going on in front of me as well.

Big room and nice bathroom. Heating unit was a bit loud. And could hear street noise.

This hotel is in the heart of manhattan. It is close to transportation and walking distance to many venues. The folks at the front desk were friendly and helpful. The common areas and room were clean and reasonably attractive. Much betger than 2-3star chain hotels that are in the same price range. I'd stay again. Great Value.

Very pleased with my stay. Comfortable and reasonably priced.

Hotel was better than expected of a budget stay. It is superbly located within walking distance of Chelsea, Greenwich, Broadway and Empire State Building.The hotel provide complimentary morning coffee and pastries. We found the staff to be very helpful and they readily provided advice on getting around and top tips for local eating and shopping. All in all a great stay and w would certainly stay again on a future visit.

Have stayed there several times in the past. Location can't be beat if you are spending time in the Chelsea and Village areas. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. I'll stay there again.

Chelsea Savoy is right next door to the Chelsea Hotel. It's a 10 minute walk from Penn Station and kiddie corner from a subway stop. There's a decent bar (Jake's) next door that's great for business lunches and evening drinks, and a Doughnut Factory with crazy good pastries just down the street. My room was clean, small but not cramped and relatively quiet. I have a friend who is pilot for Jet Blue, and he said it's a hotel used often by his airline, which speaks to its consistency and convenience. The staff was friendly and helpful when needed, which is all I ever want.

We were only in New York for 2 nights, arriving very early one morning - before official check in time. The hotel staff were great, letting us leave our bags and even offering us breakfast. The location was ideal for us - a 5 minute walk from the 23rd St Station on E Subway line (cheapest link to JFK - only a 40 minute ride away) and 2 other subway lines. A 15 minute walk up 7th Avenue and you're in the heart of Manhattan - Empire State, Madison Square Gardens. 20 minutes and you're in Times Square. The immediate vicinity of the hotel is great - close to the High Line and trendy spots like Chelsea Market. Our room was clean, well equipped - if we had to find fault it would be with the size of the bath towels - which were teeny, but such a minor point! Breakfast was OK, bagels and coffee in a rather dingy dining room but at least it was included. We'd stay here again.

We searched online for a deal and after hours of looking I finally stumbled upon this one. The rooms are nothing fancy but feel clean and serve the purpose. The private bathroom was surprisingly big and clean as well. The front desk staff is very friendly! The only complaint, if you call it one, is that the ice machine is downstairs in the lobby. Great location, close to parking garages that don't cost an arm and a leg ($42 including tax for 24 hours), clean and quiet! Would definitely stay here again!

We were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and comfort for the price we paid. The location was great. Not a lot of frills, but you get what you pay for!

Only complaints were the mattress was hard as a rock and no coffee pot on room.

Its very reasonable price for Midtown NYC and nearby subways and restaurants.

Great location. Close to the majority of subway lines you should ever need to use, and great walking distance from midtown and downtown. Has fair amount of restaurants close by, with even more in nearby SoHo / Greenwich. ....The quality of the room left something to be desired considering the rate paid. Though we were admittedly in NYC during the holidays (after Christmas - thru New Years), the price of the room was overvalued by about 50-75% - I guess that's the benefit of having 1MM other guests that would like to purchase the room (approximate # of people in Times Square for 2012/13 New Years). -Very friendly service, will hold your luggage if you arrive before check-in or want to hang-out after check-out/before leaving for the airport, and relatively quiet considering how close it is to all the action. I will definitely stay here again during any off-season, but will find another place to stay if we ever return to NYC during the Christmas holidays.

I was delighted with the hotel. Very convenient location: two steps from the 7th Ave. subway; one block from the C and E lines; cross-town bus very close.Walking distance from the West Village and midtown. My only complaint is that the "pastries" for breakfast were stale. Hotel was in excellent shape and the room very comfortable.

Just what we needed.good value.good location.

No problem - we stayed here mainly for the location, also it was not expensive as NYC hotels go.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel and the room was clean. It was close to the subway and sites that are must see when in New York. The breaksfast was good, however it would have been nice to have juice or waters offered to drink with it. I would defintly stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
