1912 Guest House - רייקיאוויק

If your looking for a place to stay for a couple nights this place is awesome. Its a simple place, rooms are just a couple beds, no TV so entertainment isnt provided but theres plenty of that nearby. Its a 2 minute walk to bars restaurants etc. You wont find a cheaper room in downtown Reykjavik

Richard one of the owners is very nice, a great tour guide and tries to do everything to make your stay a pleasant one. The guest house is very close to everything from restaurants to the tour companies and bus line. Highly recommend staying at the 1912 Guesthouse.

Richard, who runs the guesthouse with his family, is a friendly guy who takes great care of the property. Note, that the rep at Hotel.com said I'd have my own bathroom - but typical of Iceland, the bathroom is shared. The facilities are great though - and there is a space in the fridge and shelf in the cupboard if you want to make it an extended stay.

Just one block from the parliament, national gallery, tourist center and shopping facilities, this is a fantastic place. If you do not mind shared facilities this is perfect. I would gladly come back.

Excellent location. Cheap taking that into account. Problem is that there is one bathroom per floor, everybody has to share it.

Location can't be beat; comfortable beds; and staff go above and beyond to be helpful in maximizing your stay in Reykjavik. Good value for the price.

We liked this location the cleanliness, the comfort. the down side was that we could not get a hold of the owner and had to go to the touris office to get his phone #. Not a big deal.

Spent a couple of nights with a friend plus a night on my own. --PROS: fantastic downtown location close to shops, 'best' bars and restaurants, also a walking distance from the coach station; well decorated, clean comfortable rooms, great little kitchen ideal for socially meeting other guests; easy access any time of the day or night; friendly caretaker in next door pub. --CONS: poor sound privacy (in our room at least), fine if you don't mind the odd snoring in the background, a pain if your neighbour is insomniac and carelessly up and down all night like it happened on my last night (I ended up dragging myself to a spare room so I could get some sleep)... But, all in all, I'd go back there anytime (earplugs included, just in case). I stayed in a couple of other nice guesthouses/flats in Reykjavik and this is the most homely.

Ligger mycket centralt, med några enstaka minuters gångavstånd till det mesta! Detta innebär dock en del trafik och partyfolket passerar huset på helgnätterna, så öronproppar är ett absolut måste! Sköna sängar, kök med kylskåp, diskmaskin och mikro, men ingen spis. Toaletter med dusch i korridoren, inga större problem med trängsel. Lite damm på lister och i hörnor, oputsade fönster, men generell renlighet bra. Man får inte gå in i huset med skor, vilket gör att stället känns rent. Ägaren lämnar gärna tips på bra restauranger och annat. Bra pris och ställe om du inte planerar att spendera så mycket tid och pengar på boende, utan vill lägga detta på aktiviteter!

Es un hotel muy centrico, pero la limpieza de las habitaciones y del baño es un poco justa. Ademas el baño es compartido por muchas habitaciones.

1912 Guesthouse ligger perfekt i downtown Reykjavik, bara minuter från huvudgatan, barer och restauranger. Rummen är enkelt inredda men sängen var en av de skönaste jag sovit i någonsin. Både vårt rum och de delade ytorna (badrum och kök) var välstädade. Det finns ingen reception men vi råkade stöta på managern vår första dag i staden och han erbjöd sig genast att visa oss sevärdheter och bra matställen på kartan. Han frågade även om vi ville byta rum till ett med bättre utsikt när det blev ledigt. En genuint trevlig person, som ville att vår vistelse skulle bli så bra som möjligt! På den negativa sidan är det ganska lyhört så ta med öronproppar om du är ljudkänslig. Bo på detta hostel om du vill ha nära till liv och rörelse och inte är ute efter något extravagant utan nöjer dig med "helt, rent och hemtrevligt".

The single room 201 was furnised in very nice modern way without tv, telephone, radio and toilet. The kitchen on the same floor was well equipped even with vine glasses etc. Also the toilet was tidy and spacious with a proper shower. The only disadvantage was the lacking of the private parking place of the hotel.

Holtel, er måske så meget sagt, da det er et guesthouse - uden reception, medarbejdere m.m. Men dagligt kommer der en og gør rent på fællesområderne. Værelset så dog intet til denne rengøring. "Viceværten" var utrolig filnk og meget hjælpsom - også inden ankomsten, hvor samtalen foregik via mail. 1912 - ligger lige i centrum, så vil man være hvor det sker, så er det her.... Kan godt anbefale dette guesthouse - og vil gerne selv benytte det igen.

Nous avons été satisfaits en tous points !!! Vraiment !! Le petit plus a été les adresses typiques conseillées par notre hôte, ainsi que la bonne organisation et communication en amont qui nous a permis d'accéder de manière parfaitement indépendante à la chambre, parfaitement située au coeur de Reykjavik par ailleurs.

Very centrally located - perhaps a little too much nightlife for our taste. Good kitchen and living room facilities.

Var mjög áægð með þjónustuna, hreinleikann og staðsetningu. Hefði bara helst viljað hafa sjónvarp í herberginu!
