The Albany - גילפורד

This B&B is actually a pub offering a few rooms as B&B. The room was quite nice, the location is also okay, but it was frustrating to learn in the morning that they don't serve breakfast. Given this, the room price seems too high.

The rooms desperately needs some maintenance as they seem very old and used. Strange the place is called a b&b when there is no breakfast available...

Looked nice from the outside but Hotels.com double booked our room on new years eve! We never got to stay at the Albany and no one at the hotel offered to help us find somewhere else - we we're just told sorry. The hotel.com telephone rep also got it wrong there is no parking at the Albany. On a very steep residential road, i would not recommend for older folk.

This is just a collection of rooms, I think we counted five or six, above a bar. Noise wasn't too bad despite the fact we went on a Saturday night and someone's 30th Birthday party was going on. Needed to get the key from the manager who was behind the bar but fairly friendly, but a bit of a misnomer calling it a B&B because no breakfast (not even the continental as previously stated) so we had to go out to get it in the morning. The room was reasonably clean, though there was some black mould on the ceiling of the bathroom, but otherwise serviceable. The double bed was two singles pushed together with a sheet to connect them so not hugely comfortable, but clean.

As stated by other guests, the breakfast is a Full continental breakfast left in your room. Room has a small fridge to hold the milk, orange juide, etc. Unfortunately was taken away again one day by overkeen housemaid and had to order another at the bar. Good location.

This hotel is ideally bsituated for all areas of Guildford. The accomadation was fantastic value for money, spoilt with a continental breakfast and very nice staff but it was very noisy (loud music till 12.15am) and a very early delivery which was also very noisy.

I booked this B & B Because it advertised full breakfast but when I arrived I was told there was only a continental breakfast which I didn't wont, I had to spend the next morning trying to find a cafe. The room was clean & large , Id been given the family room & was shocked to find a broken socket with live wires on show next to the bed. The bathroom & no blinds at the window But was was at the side & level with the beer garden so everyone outside can see you go to the toilet which is at the side of the window. They did bring me fresh milk , orange juice & water up but to keep it cool you had to use a little noisy mobile fridge which kept you awake all night.

Pub with rooms but I was very pleasantly surprised. The room I was in was large with a super bathroom. There was a continental breakfast with a choive of cereals, danish pastry and tea or cofee with FRESH milk which I was very pleased with. It is very well located for the centre of Guildford although parking could be an issue although it wasn't for me. I only stayed one night however I would definitely stay again.

The pub is cosy and perfectly sitatuated close to the top of High Street, ok size of room and nice beds, very nice staff. BUT loud music and talk at least until half past midnight, very loud and fast driving at night, loose toilet which had to be shaken to stop "running" all the time and worst of all impossible shower, with low water pressure and either ice cold or burning hot. Therefore, suitable for short stay...

Ok, a few problems but nice and very clean. Service ok.

Nice and clean, good sized room, very difficult to regulate the showers. Either hot-hot or much to cold. Windows hard to open. Staff ok.
