WESTWOOD SHORES WATERFRONT RST - Sturgeon Bay

Beautiful place. It is nice to have the kitchen with dishes and cooking pans. Beds are comfortable. Rooms clean. Staff accommodating and friendly. I would recommend this place.

This is a very nice hotel/resort. It is very well maintained and clean. Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Was a great place, definitely would be fun in the summer time. Had lots of fun off season too. Would have given 5 stars but the bed was uncomfortable (sagged / uneven) and the ceiling fan made a lot of noise. Still a great room at a great (off season) rate.

perfect for a family get away

My husband and I picked this resort for our honeymoon and were very satisfied. The rooms were clean, and you couldn't hear anyone in the halls. All of the staff were also very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

We really enjoyed our stay at Westwood Shores. It is a great value during the month of June before the high season begins. Our two teen-aged girls were delighted with accomodations which are basically like a very nice two bedroom apartment. We all enjoyed the privacy of having two bathrooms, and not having to fight over what to watch on TV after a day exploring Door County. It is a very clean place, very quiet, not luxurious in a pretentious sort of way, but just very, very nice. Each room has a great view of the bay. The indoor pool is OK, but the being at the outdoor pool really makes you feel like you are on vacation since you are so close to the bay. The rowboat and paddle boats are also enjoyable and free for guests to use. If you're looking for a beach atmosphere like you'd find in an oceanside resort this isn't the place for you, but if your idea of chilling out is to read a good book while you're in a quiet, stress-free atmosphere, then Westwood Shores is pretty close to perfect.

It was the first time that we visited Wisconsin door county and were absolutely happy with our stay at the Westwood Shores resort in Sturgeon Bay.It was one of the most relaxing vacations my wife and I have had and are definitely planning on coming up again with our family. Judging how great the place is, I don't feel that their website does them justice.Maybe better or enhanced photography would do the trick!

I got married on June 2nd 2012 in door county. I spent 2 weeks prior reviewing hotels. I am eaisly disgusted by most motels and rip the quilts off immediately knowing they are not washes. I am also 9months pregnant and recently spend 2 nights in Wisconsin Dells in the most uncomfortable bed. I was very nervous but pick Westwood Shores based on web pictures & other reviews. I am so pleased with my stay at this hotel. Our room was amazing. It was clean, beautiful view of the bay, and decorated wonderfully. I felt so comfy I told my new husband, I could live in this hotel room. The bed was super comfortable with a padded mattress pad and it was so clean that I even used the hotel blankets. The pool area was impressive. Not only a hot tub but the big pool was heated. I would recommend this hotel to anyone and will definitely be staying here again.

Everyone there (staff) was friendly, the rooms and pool area were immaculate. I always judge a hotel room by how clean its bathroom is and this hotel passed the test with flying colors. The grounds are stunning and we can't wait to stay there again. Its close to everything, but feels like it is a little hideaway.

Way more than what we expected~ I can not wait to visit this hotel again soon!

Fantastic view! Rooms were spacious and comfortable. Loved it..

I was pleasantly surprised with my accommodations. The one bedroom condo had a nice kitchen, great bathroom, and nice size comfortable bedroom. Everything was clean. The facility has everything it advertises. Very nice heated indoor pool. Very pleasant staff. I'll stay there again!

The second bedroom was quite small; basically the bed fit in it and not much more. Difficult to enter the room without hitting the TV stand. Wasn't told where the swimming pool towels were located. it would be nice to have a small restaurant or convenience store for items you have forgotten instead of trying to find a store.

Everything exceeded our expectations. It was quiet, clean, and comfortable. We will stay there again.

I lived in Door County for 10 years and came home for a visit. I was aware of the resort, but had never stayed there and decided to stay for two days. It was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and our suite was spacious and comfortable. The sunsets were fantastic each night. Everything we needed was at the resort. I can't wait to stay there again and hope to stay longer.

A very nice place to stay. I would recommend it to anyone. Pleasant front desk help and very quiet area. Beds were very comfortable.

The resort was excellent in all ways except there were gnats every morning in the bathroom around the sink. Not bad enough to make us leave but annoying. All the good things about Westwood easily outweighed the minor problem.

This condo is SO private (#301) that you could hole up here for days and just veg! The view is awesome, the condo so comfortable, and the location so "away" from it all that we hated to leave!!

My family stayed at the Westwood Waterfront Resort for a week this summer. It was amazing! Our back yard was Sturgeon Bay, which opened onto Green Bay. Our suite, 2 bed/2 bath was huge. Far cry from the standard two beds in one room hotels! Outdoor pool is on the bay, indoor pool clean & large. Quiet area, millions of stars at night. Close enough for us to get to the northern areas. The farthest we had to travel was approx. 35 or so miles to get to the Washington Island Ferry, a drive that brought us through many lovely little towns. Loved the indoor bicycle storage. Paddle boats & row boats on the bay came with the resort. We will absolutely stay here again, on our next trip to Door County!

We enjoyed our stay at the Resort, the view from the room was incredible. It is a very serene, calm and relaxing resort. We stayed at a two bedroom suite, it was very clean and decorated nicely. It was a true relaxing vacation spot. We had our three kids with us, they enjoyed the swimming pools and skipping rocks by the lake. I would highly recommend this resort.

Great Location right on the water with an outdoor pool and an indoor pool (wonderful for the kids)! Squeaky clean, friendly staff, super-well maintained. Westwood Shores is reasonably priced (and most certainly less crowded) that similar waterfront locales further up the peninsula. Besides, it's an easy drive to all the sights of Door County anyway. This place is our preferred hotel in Door County and we'll continue to return in the future.

My husband and I loved this resort. The rooms and the grounds were beautiful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We felt the rates were very reasonable for all that they gave you. We will stay there again in the future.

This hotel is great value for the money. I booked a "King size" room and expected to get just a room, but was amazed to find out it was actually a suite with a jacuzzi tub, kitchen and fireplace! Beautiful surrounding area and friendly staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for two nights/three days. We left from Chicago for some R&R and boy did we get just that! It's so quiet and peaceful. Everyone was so nice and pleasant. Very affordable and a beautiful view. We will definitely stay here again. Next time we will bring our food, they have fully stocked kitchens and very nice grills on premise with utensils. You name it, they have it. You can literally come here and not leave. If you do need food, there are plenty of restaurants or a 24 hour grocery store. I can go on and on....bottom line is we can't wait to come back!! And make sure you visit Renards cheese...all I can say is holy cow! Amazing! Chambre super, grande, tout confort avec cuisine, salon, salle de bain et balcon. Équipements de l'hôtel parfaits. Il manque qu'une chose le petit déjeuner... Le paysage vu de la chambre est magnifique. Rien a redire tout simplement parfait! Nous avions prevu de rester une nuit et avons prolonge notre séjour...
