"Great way to be pampered close to Golden Circle"

Olaf , the owner has thought of everything to make sure that a weary traveler could get rest and relaxation. I stayed only one night but would seriously consider it as a base of operations for exploring the golden circle and the beauty of Pingvellir. THE BEST BREAKFAST I HAD in two weeks in Iceland. The rooms were well appointed. They had the best blinds to shut out late night or early morning sun for good sleep. The room and bed were also clean, new, and the room had all the extras (coffee machine, fridge, hair dryer, etc. you could ever need). Nice and quiet area. You will need a car to get there. Enjoy the hot pot and look at all the natural beauty that surrounds you and then enjoy some fine wine or a drink afterwards......or you could simply drink the tap water which is like spring water or glacier water and as crystal clear as one could ever wish for.

"Beautiful location and facilities"

These accomodations are literally a series of houses that one drives to from the main check in location. The staff was very helpful and spoke sufficient English. Our guesthouse was spacious, impeccably clean and had wonderful views. Dinner at the main "house" was very nice - frrom the fish main courses (we had salmon and arctic char), wine paring, and dessert - all were excellent. The location of the guesthouses is not in Selfoss proper so the GPS that I used could not find the address. But fortunately, there was good signage from the road coming from Gullfoss/Kerid crater so we found it easily. I highly recommend and would definitly stay again.

The facilities are spotless and comfortable. The two meals we had at Grimsborgir's restaurant (dinner and breakfast) were the best of our entire stay in Iceland. The guesthouses are reasonably close to popular attractions like Thingvellir and Gullfoss, but still feel secluded and out-of-the-way. Highly recommended!

Grimsborgir Luxury Guest House Apartment svarte helt og holdent til navnet. Flere eneboliger med leiligheter. Alt hva som trengs av hvitevarer. Flotte soverom og dusjanlegg. Kjempeterrasse, grill og boblebad utenfor. Hjemmekoselig restaurant og frokostlokale i egen bolig med resepsjon. Perfekt for familier med bil. Midt i hyttestrøk, rolig med fine turforhold. Sentral i forhold til å besøke både Reykjavik, Selfoss og Gylne sirkel. Anbefales
