Mssr & Mme Bailly are very friendly and welcoming. I have stayed in many hotels in Paris in this price class, and this room was much smaller and darker than most. Smaller desk. Fewer hangers. Tiny Tiny Tiny bathroom. Clean, but tiny. There are some other properties at the same price with more room and brighter lighting.

Great location in the heart of Paris. Awesome service – Madame was gregarious and helpful. Great little Parisian breakfast. Located on very quiet street off of very lively main street, and by 2 convenient metro stops. It's old, rustic, and is a small French boutique-hotel with no frills, but all the practical things you need. It's not pampering, but you can't beat the price and value for what you're getting. Need to know a little french here because it's authentic, not touristy.

I stayed for 5 nights and I was incredibly satisfied. I'm an American traveler who'd never been to Paris before and the staff at the hotel where kind and helpful. From opening bottles of wine to giving directions this quaint hotel was a great bargain for the location. I walked to the museums to Noter Dame and took the subways to the other sights. Highly recommended.

The people were so sweet. As soon as we got there, they drew us maps of where to shop, where to eat, and where to walk to get the most out of our two day trip. The elevator was a bit small (hah) and the room was pretty much no frills, but it was clean and we were content! It was also really close to so many great places to eat, shop, and visit! We did everything by foot!

The hotel staff were very helpful dispite the language barrier. No one spoke much English in the surrounding area.

The hotel was very clean and the staff super attentive. The hotel was really close like 3 minutes by foot. The only thing I didn't like was the neighborhood at night because it was a lonely street and full of weird people.

We stayed here two nights recently great help on front desk she was really nice but that is all. The hotel is run down room is horrible window didn't shut noisey at 830am a bell goes off close by for a minute. It's not in a great location.

The temperature in the room was way too warm because they had the heat turned on. We tried turning it off, but the knob wouldn't turn and we were afraid of breaking it. The room would probably be very cold in the winter because the window does not close very tightly. The whole city smells like a poorly cleaned public restroom, but the hotel isn't to blame for that.

This hotel is located within a 5 minute walk of the Bonne Nouvelle and Strasburg-St. Denis metro stations and about a 20-25 minutes walk from Les Halles and Notre Dame. Nearby is Rue Montorgueil which is littered with patisseries, fishmongers, cheese stalls, and restaurants to delight your senses. The streets directly surrounding the hotel however should be traveled with a hand firmly on your belongings as it is surrounded by empty store fronts a rather dodgy looking strip club. Hotel staff are very nice and responsive, even to travelers with little French like myself. Breakfast can be enjoyed at the hotel for a small fee. The rooms could use a lot of attention however. Peeling paint and stained carpets detract hugely from the charm of this hotel.

My husband and I stayed for one week in July 2011. The room was very small but had everything we needed. It's a cute hotel and the location is good. It's right on 2 metro line stops bit there isn't many attractions within walking distance. However, because we weren't near attractions, we felt we got a better feel for what Paris is like from day to day. The hotel staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room was supposed to be street room but it was not it just had a view of other rooms windows. We did have our own bathroom and shower w a small sink. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again. It's simple and has all the needed necessities for a couple wanting to just sight see. We liked it!

The Bonne Nouvelle Hotel's location is ideal for walking to sights and taking the Metro. It is an old Parisian building, very quaint, relatively small. It is NOT a 5-star hotel but I will stay there each time I go to Paris because it IS an authentic old Parisian hotel. There is a very small elevator which goes only to the 4th floor, then you need to carry your baggage 2 additional flights to the top. We had the "triple suite" on the 6th floor (top) 2 rooms separated by a lovely french door (lots of room and very comfortable) with a wonderful view of the Parisian rooftops and I believe the St. Denis church? which we missed and I recommend you visit! The gentlemen who work at the desk are WONDERFUL!!! Nice people! For a breakfast cost, you can eat breakfast, there is a nice room with lovely stain-glass (modern). The cafe au lait is "to die for", their milk is creamier than ours in the US and a cup of morning coffee is charged for a fee there at the hotel. I would not hesitate to recommend La Bonne Nouvelle!

Venus pour un concert au Grand Rex, bien accueillis, service petit déjeuner très correct. Rue pas trop bruyante, le plus la proximité de la salle de spectacle.

Om man inte har för stora krav på tipp topp standard och stora utrymmen, är det här det perfekta boendet. Trångt men familjärt, 24-timmarsservice, frukost mot tillägg, bra städning. Läget är bra, nära metron men på en lugn bakgata.

Cet hôtel est placé tout près de deux stations de métro, ce qui permet de gagner très rapidement les points d'intérêt de la ville. La petite rue dans laquelle il est situé est très calme. Les chambres sont assez vétustes et mériteraient un net rafraîchissement. Le personnel est assez accueillant et toujours disponible. Bien pour une nuit ou deux.

Hotellet låg på gränsen mellan lite slumområde och inte. Hotellet var okej men inte så mycket mer. Det kunde behöva putsas på en del ställen men är man inte så kräsen så funkar det. Hotellets reception ser mycket bättre ut än rummen.

Fornøyd - ville nok bodd der igjen, dersom oppholdet blir like kort eller kortere. For et langt opphold blir man nok ganske lei av hotellet. Vi bodde i andre etasje. Internettet kobla seg ut og inn hele tida, det fungerte bare rett innenfor døra eller ute i gangen. Veldig kaldt badegulv, med nærmest gjennomsiktig dør. Det var en enkeltseng og en dobbeltseng. Vi trakk ett av dynetrekkene gjennom døra og dørkarmen, slik at den dekket vinduet. Ellers var vi fornøyde med rommet. Lite, men koselig.

Bra hotell, med trevlig personal. Rummet var okej, ganska litet och det fanns ingen dörr till badrummet. Men om man, som oss, inte reser för att hänga på hotellrummet hela resan, var det helt okej. Bra läge, med bra avstånd till både city, Marais och Montmartre.

Un environnement proche inquiétant et peu enthousiaste. Un hall correct, un employé de bonne volonté, accueillant et serviable. Un ascenseur très étroit (pas accessible aux fauteuils pour handicapés). Une déco très ancienne, des mur en placo à nu avec encore les bandes de plâtre. Des tissus muraux d'un autre âge, des boiseries usées, des portes et huisseries des années 60. Des fenêtres simple vitrage laissant passer le bruit de la rue. Une literie correcte mais des oreillers assez plats. Un salle de bains avec des joints de carrelage douteux, un sèche cheveux jaunit ......

Die Zimmer sind klein, aber ausreichend für einen Städteurlaub. Probleme gab es mit der Toilette (öfters verstopft). Das Treppenhaus war im Umbau jedoch recht eng. Es gibt recht günstig ein Frühstück auf Vorbestellung. Generell kann man sagen, dass das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen ist und alles sehr beengt ist, Auf der anderen Seite liegt das Hotel sehr verkehrsgünstig; 20 Geminuten von TGV Bahnhof Garde Est, 20 Gehminuten zum Louvree, 15 Gehminuten zur Opera, 30 Gehminuten zum Momatre.

Ett litet charmigt hotell med trevlig personal och varm stämning. Rummen var små och slitna, men städningen var ordentlig och sängarna var bekväma!

Chambre assez petite et "vieillotte" . L'hôtel aurait besoin d'être rénové

Sono stati molto cortesi, non è stato difficile trovare l'hotel avendo a disposizione la cartina. Molto interessante il prezzo e la grandezza dalla camera. C'era la possibilità di fare la prima colazione (anche con servizio in camera). Per un weekend low cost tra amici è stato perfetto:):)

Cet hôtel annoncé comme un 2 étoiles n'en a pas une seule et n'en mérite pas. Chambre sale, malodorante et très bruyante. Impossible de bien dormir. La salle de bain est inaccessible, ce n'est ni une douche, ni est baignoire, tout juste un bac pour les pieds. Et le quartier est à l'image de l’hôtel, sale et puant. A réserver aux habitués des services tarifés et autres chambres louées à l'heure.

Man får, hvad man betaler for. Hotellet ligger fint centralt i gåafstand til flere seværdigheder. Hotellet er et smalt fransk hotel der tænger til lidt renovering hist og pist, men det glemmer man hurtigt på grund af en ualmindelig venlig betjening. Man behøver ikke at tænke på nøglekort, hotellet har vagt på hele døgnet.

Personalet var servicminded og venlige ved henvendelser. Selve værelset var lidt skuffende, da der ikke var monteret en dør til toilettet, men blot et halv-transparent gardin. Ligeledes var der revner i vægge og lofter. Hotellet kunne godt trænge til en kærlig hånd. Overordnet har opholdet været tilfredstillende, trods de kosmetiske mangler.

The room was really Orange, really Small and really Narrow, but clean after all. And also staff was really Friendly, price was Ok and it was easy to find. Ok place to stay one night.

Hotellet ligger med bra utgangspunkt til komme rundt. Metro kun få minutters gange unna. Kort vei til trivelige gågater med mange restauranter. Hotellet selv ligger i en stille sidegate, så lite støy og forstyrrelser. Resepsjonisten(ene) har andre nevnt her og de kan jeg også skryte av. Hjelpsomme og en fantastisk vilje til å hjelpe deg. Rommene er ikke store, men fungerer til de de skal; sove. Gammel bygning som er full av sjarm. Trenger en del oppussing. Skal jeg tilbake til Paris vil jeg med stor sannsynlighet bruke hotellet igjen.

We visited as a mother and doughter. First the room was a shock. Room was really small and old, carpet was worn, we only had one sheet and old blankets. Worst thing was that there was only a thick curtain as a bathroom door. But in a couple of days we started to enjoy our stay. Location was exellent and near two metrostops, staff very friendly and the room started to feel just cozy (except the missing door). We only slept there, so it was good enough for us. Breakfest was ok and we had new towels every day.

Lidt skuffende hotelkvalitet.Accepteres dog p.g.a. den fine centrale beliggenhed. Personales hjælpsomhed dog helt i top.

Hotellissa oli erittäin mukava henkilökunta. Sijainti hyvä ja lähellä hyviä ravintoloita. Hotellin kunto hieman heikko, mutta ei haitannut.

Aufenthalt war ganz gut. Das Hotel hat nur zwanzig kleine Zimmer, auf vier Etagen verteilt. Dazu einen 2 Personen Aufzug, sehr eng, aber Luxus, wie ich finde ;) Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und es gab keine Probleme. Haben auch auf Koffer aufgepasst am An- und Abreisetag. Die Zimmer sind klein und zweckmäßig, aber gemütlich, wenn man von einigen Macken absieht und die Überlandleitungen im Bad unberücksichtigt lässt. Es gibt französische Doppelbetten (1,4m), ein Schrank, Fernseher, Klo und Dusche oder Wanne auf dem Zimmer. Die Aufteilung erscheint etwas improvisiert, aber in Ordnung. Jedes Zimmer ist dazu in einem anderen Stil/Dekor gehalten. Wir hatten blauen Stoff mit vielen Sonnen drauf als Wandbelag. Alles in allem aber sauber und es wird jeden Tag geputzt. Die Lage ist gut, relativ zentral, man hat in 200m Entfernung die Metro Haltestelle 'Bonne Nouvelle', etwa in gleicher Entfernung die Straße hinunter die nächste 'Strassbourg Saint Denis'. Die Straße runter ist ausserdem ein sehr belebtes Multi-kulti Viertel in dem man alles mögliche zu Essen findet (türkisch, asiatisch, pizza hut, subway, cafés)... abends erstreckt sich hier aber scheinbar auch der Asiatenstrich. An der Ecke zur Metrostation gibt es einen kleinen Supermarkt 'Carrefour', der alles was man braucht verkauft (Kette).

Hotellet är inte i toppskick men kostar också därefter. Om man tar sig lite tid att kika på kartan och vågar sig lite "off-road" är det inte mer än max 15 min promenad till Hotell de Ville och NotreDame. Trevlig personal, engelskan sådär men de försöker verkligen! Allt funkade och vi sov gott :)

Goede locatie voor alle bezienswaardigheden. Geen aanrader als je ook lekker wilt douchen slapen of eten. Onderhoud op niveau hotel in het oerwoud van Brazilie

Service lambda, petite chambre, salle de bain ridicule, peinture défraîchie. Seul l'emplacement représente un intérêt.

Hotel vétuste. Chambre petite et vétuste. Personnel agréable. Il est à noter que dans ma chambre, je ne pouvais utiliser mon téléphone portable.

Calidad del servicio fue excelente, buen trato y amabilidad, El hotel es seguro, un buen comienzo para dispfrutar de la romatica, cosmopolita y hermosa ciudad Paris, hotel esta construido en una arquitectura tipica de Paris y esta hubicado en un lugar accequibles a todo los citios de interes cultural y de diversión .
