Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno - טוקיו

Great hotel, staff greet with a smile every time you enter the hotel. The room may be small compare to western standards, but it is pretty big for Japanese standards. Great location as it is across the street from Ueno main station, and Tokyo Metro subway is steps away. The room has all amenities you need, and it is very clean.

Night life was not as much as my stay in Ikebukuro in the same trip. Will sure stay at this hotel again if I will have a 1-2 night short stay in Tokyo.

Great place to stay. Near to everything. Able to shop and drop off bags to go for more shopping . Very central to all attractions.

Everything was excellent. Would definitely choose them again. Every staff member made our stay enjoyable. We knew very little Japanese, but their English was very good.

A small room but very adequate. The free wifi was great.The only thing I missed was a fitness centre, but I would stay here again.

Great Hotel and service except they only gave me one key card. We have a double room and only one key card! I cannot get back up to the room without the key card for the elevator! Or my wife have to leave in the dark without power if I pull the card. Strange policy! so don't leave anyone in the room!!

Great Hotel close to everything! Only 5 mins walk to JR line and Narita line. 1 min to Metro entrance. Ueno is a more tradition location, Sakura viewing and Art and museum just few mins walk. Friendly staffs with free internet (wired and wifi) complementary bottle water is a plus. Lobby is kind of small, well its Tokyo.

The service was excellent and the location across from the bullet train station couldn't be beat for an early departure

I am extremely satisfied with the stay here. The hotel room is clean, well equipped and I had a nice view from the window. The location is excellent, very near to the train station and other attractions.

A nice stopover hotel by Ueno station.

I was solo traveler and this hotel is perfect for brief stay in Tokyo, just beside the Ueno Train station so direct connection to Narita from this train station by Kensei Ltd. Express train--only 1000 yen. And very convenient to Asakusa taking the Ginza Line train--third stop. The room was very clean, comfortable and has everything thoughtfully provided. For certain I will stay there again if the price remains reasonable. The first floor has very agreeable Italian restaurant which was fun. Hotel staff at reception were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Stayed at three different hotels on my trip to Tokyo and this was the best. I arrived early and stored my bag for for a few hours. When I checked in they had already put my bag in the room. Other pluses: -2 free bottles of water -Modern, up-to-date furnishings -Soundproof, it was blissfully quiet -They even provided a flatiron for hairstyling....haven't seen this done before -Convenient to subway (although other than Ueno park, this neighborhood doesn't have much going for it)

Stayed three weeks at the Mitsue Garden Ueno and loved it. The location is superb. I took the Keisei Skyliner train from Narita and the Ueno Station for the line is very close to the hotel. I was able to take an escalator to the overpass and down so I did not need to lug my heavy luggage upstairs and down. The hotel is located within easy walking distance to Ueno Park, Asakusa and Akihabara. I also walked to the Ginza but that was a bit far and took the subway back. Additional sights such as the Tsukiiji Fish Markey and the Tokyo Municipal Buildings were within a short subway or JR line away. The room was comfortable. I was afraid that the room would be miserable but I had smaller in Hong Kong. I was able to work out a bit by laying out a yoga mat. The room was stocked with two water bottles daily and had coffee and tea. Room also had a small refrigerator. Room was also cleaned daily and in great condition. I was on the 14th (top) floor. I did not eat the breakfast at the hotel. There are many convenience stores very close by and just stocked up on fruit and yogurt. The staff was friendly and there was a newspaper available every day. The room was quiet and the shade for the window provided a complete blackout of the light from outside. I enoyed my stay there and highly recommend the hotel.

Seems to be a relatively new hotel, all very modern. Had a superior room with large double bed (about queen size) for a much lower price than hotels in central Tokyo. Only downside was that one side of the bed was up against the wall, but bed could be moved to make it easier to get in and out. Room somewhat cramped by North American standards but well designed and well equipped. Had a small refrigerator, so could store milk and granola for breakfast. Like many Japanese hotels, no WiFi in room. Ethernet cable provided. We brought a router to connect an IPOD Touch and it worked out OK. Walking distance to Ueno Park, large urban park with many museums and zoo. We booked here specifically for the Tokyo National Museum, most interesting, information panels translated into good English. Entrance to subway a few steps from the hotel. Coffee shop right next door. Some small, inexpensive restaurants in the neighborhood and a grocery store in the JR Ueno station. Enjoyed our stay.

Great location, just right next to subway exit and you can access Ueno station just across the street. The room is comfortable and cosy. Service is excellent.

Rooms were small, but on-par for Tokyo. However, they were clean, neat and well appointed. Nothing fancy mind you, but everything one would expect from a solid business hotel. Internet was over ethernet and was fast. No WiFi (i used connectify from my Laptop to connect my phone/tablet via WiFi). Staff at the front desk spoke minimal english but worked very hard to answer my questions. Hotel was very convenient to Ueno JR station, about 100 yards over the pedestrian bridge. It was everything that I needed for a cheap, clean, confortable stay.

This hotel is consistently good. Great Service, Good Location, Good Bedding and Pillows, Clean..... everything one can hope for and more in this price category. This was my 4th stay in the last year and its always been happy. Stayed in 2 other places when rooms were not available here and they didnt come close.

Very convenient,very close to Museums, Skyliner, Ueno Station Jr and Ginza and Hibiya Lines etc. Medium sized rooms for Japan, well thought out layout of room, wifi and computers for rent, Bath and shower. All new tasteful and well kept. Very High on list of choices for hotels in price range.

Hotel is located across the street from the UENO station and skyline train from the airport. Very vibrant area with many different types of restaurants, the market, the japanese style casino, and the mall. Walking distance to many different attractions. Staff is very friendly however not everyone speaks good english. Even though they try to help you anyways. Hotel has Italian restaurant on the side which is not completely overpriced but with the selection of restaurants around, there is really no point in eating there. You can not order take out from this restaurant either. The subway station is next door to the hotel.

Beautiful brand new hotel in a very convenient location. Easy to find by following the directions on the Mitsui Garden's website. Staff was very helpful.

It was great and clean place with close proximity to Ueno JR and metro station. Room size is big in view of Tokyo's standard.

上野駅に近く便利です。部屋も値段以上に綺麗でした。

총 4일을 머물렀는데 우에노역에서 가깝고 교통의 요지에 있어 매우 편한 호텔이었습니다. 시설도 깔끔하고 펜더방으로 배정해 주었는데 일본 특유의 아기자기함이 묻어나는 호텔입니다. 조식은 평범.. 주변의 먹거리들이 많아서 구지 1300엔 주고 조식을 먹을 필요는 없을것 같습니다. (귀찮지만 않다면)

Hotellet ligger 5 min gange fra Ueno togstasjon, og en metro-nedgang ligger 4 meter fra hotellets inngang. Hotellrommet var litt trangt, men dette må man nesten regne med i Japan. Nytt og fint, hyggelig betjening og en fantastisk beliggenhet for å utforske Tokyo.

Mitsui Garden Hotel Ueno did not fill our expectations. The location was OK close to Ueno station, making it easy to catch the JR Yamanote line to get around in town - which you'll want since Ueno area is no fun at all for sightseeing or eating out. The hotel is just renovated and was most clean and modern. Our room was small, as expected, but nicely furnished and tidy. There was, however, a fan in the bathroom that kept us awake and could not be turned off. There was also a lamp in the parlor that, for some reason, had to be on all night as well. So basically we had to sleep with covered eyes and earplugs. The front desk staff we met barely spoke English and it was a challenge to be understood. When we wanted to book a taxi for Tokyo station, the hotel charged us 400 yen extra for making the call (!). We will not stay at this hotel again.

交通機関の利用上も至便。

飯店就在地鐵站隔壁走個20步就到了，而且一點多就可以check-in了。飯店算大，有空氣清淨機和蒸臉等電器，附近也有超商.便利商店和24hr的一蘭拉麵。雖然飯店人員沒有特別額外的服務，但整體來說是一個乾淨舒適的飯店。如果下次要住在上野還是會住這裡！

This hotel is located near JR Ueno Station, Metro and Ueno Park. Lots of options of restaurants in the neighborhood. Staff was very helpful and is able to speak in English. The room was very clean and kind of small but well this isTokyo. I would stay here again!

唯一的缺點是床上方有樑柱，有點小小的不滿足，但是可以靠著移動床鋪來解決。

Vi valgte å bo i Ueno på grunn av at flytoget stopper der. Det er enkelt å komme seg til andre bydeler i Tokyo med metro fra Ueno. I tillegg ligger Ueno park og et flott utendørs marked i denne bydelen. Vi var meget fornøyd med hotellet og beliggenheten, eneste problem var at de var strenge på innsjekkingstiden, kl 15. Ellers var rommet stort og rent.

동경 여러 호텔에 투숙하여 보았지만 가장 편리한 위치입니다. 우에노 JR역 건너편에 있으며 지하철 긴좌선 1번 출구에서 도보 20초정도, 도보10분 정도에 있는 게이세이 우에노역에서 스카이라이너로 나리타공항까지 40분정도 걸립니다, 요금은 2,400엔. 최고의 입지입니다. 직원들 친절하고 은행까지 따라와서 송금도 도와줍니다.군더더기 없는 깨끗하고 깔끔한 호텔입니다.

地點相當方便，且離阿美橫丁也只需步行約十分鐘，周遭有許久餐廳和商店。飯店的服務人員態度良好，房間也很乾淨，大小就一般。但房間內有加溼器、蒸臉氣等，相當貼心。
