lx boutique hotel - ליסבון

We loved our stay at LX...first of all the hotel is designed so well with all the blue details, murals on the walls in the rooms and nice check in area. While the rooms were small, they were comfy and we didn't mind. then, the hotel staff was excellent! they helped with maps, pointing us in the right direction, suggesting restaurants, booking reservations and re-answering our questions and re-calling cars without ever pushing back - so great to have hotel staff so helpful and willing to help. also, while one of the two rooms was on the ground floor, it was not too noisy at all (i think because we faced the street and not the noisier back alley). and finally, location - let's just say it was excellent - everything in walking distance, easy to find, bars, restaurants and shopping all around the corner. would definitely stay here again and will recommend it to all!

I very enjoyed my stay in the lx boutique as it is very clean, shabby chic and friendly staff hotel. The bed was excellent and the bedding even better. I will definitely come back if I go to Lisbon again.

LX Boutique Hotel was the perfect location for our group of 6 people, most of whom were visiting Lisbon for the first time. It was close to all the main transport links, buses, trains, metro and sightseeing bus tours. Nobody used a taxi in our time there as we could walk to all the areas we were interested in. The hotel was well appointed with clean, modern and comfortable rooms. Front of house staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfasts were good and the bar food looked interesting. Our group were of the opinion that the hotel was the perfect location for a return visit to Lisbon.

Excellent hotel, staff friendly & helpful. Good situation, a short walk from Barrio Alto and masses of restaurants, opposite groovy bar for nightcap. Near metro and trams, taxi to most places very cheap. Hotel does welcome drinks in evening. Breakfast plentiful and fresh. Would recommend.

We enjoyed every minute of our stay in Lisbon. Main reason for that was our hotel.it is close to all the important places- Baixa, Chiado, Bairro Alto, Parca do Figueris. We walked to Belem tower and discoverers tower. Tejo river walk was only 500 m from our door. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood. Hotel provides mini custard pastries and port as a welcome in the afternoon. Hotel also provides 3 sushis and a welcome drink for each day of your stay. Sushi prepared was one of the best sushi I have ever eaten. I will stay at this hotel again and will recommend it to my friends.

This hotel is great. Great service, lovely staff and very clean and comfortable. Only slight problem was the night life just below (disco in the basement) which lasted the entire night until 6am.

awesome comfortable bed

LX Boutique is a good hotel, recently renovated. My room (Xssential backstreet) was on the second floor, very clean, small but with everything needed. Main issue was the loud disco in the street below, even with earplugs it could still be heard. The Wifi worked seemlessly.

We had a very spacious room, with a fantastic bathroom. Nice interior design and helpful staff. The only downside was the noisy. Despite asking for a quiet room and keeping windows and shutters closed we could still hear the noise from the bars in the street.

Hotel is located close to the waterfront and about a 10 minute walk up the hill to the Alto area. It's on a busy junction but there was absolutely no street noise to disturb sleep. The rooms we had were on the 1st floor and were a little smaller than the photos suggest but were very clean and comfortable and were just about big enough for two to share. Breakfast was a good continental (only hot dish is scrambled eggs) and plentiful. Free wifi also helped (unlike some English hotels). Staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend this hotel and would return again if and when I get back to this lovely city!

Staff were very friendly and effiicient. Suggestion of nearby tapas restaurant provided a really enjoyable authentic experience. Beds very comfortable. Quieter than we might have expected given the location. We chose to pay for a top priced room and it did have good views of the river and trams but we were disappointed to find a nasty looking stain on the sofa (did mention to staff). (Otherwise the room was very clean.)The proximity of the ensuite to the bed and the less than opaque blind on the window which made up the side next to the bed was not to our taste (maybe it's our age!).

The staff were great, the hotel is GORGEOUS with so many interesting touches, (plus delicious complementary tinto porto and pasties in reception each afternoon), the room was beautiful and beds way too comfortable if you need to get up early! Only thing I would mention if you're staying with a platonic friend is that the smoked glass of the bathroom wall doesn't hide much if you're shy. Hotel location is just perfect for partying and Lisbon sure knows how to do that! I will definitely stay here again when in Lisbon, and Lisbon watch out as no.1 and no. 2.14159 will be back soon!! We love you quioskes!!

The hotel itself is immaculately clean and comfortable and the staff bend over themselves to be helpful. There is a quirky restaurant attached that served amazing fusion food - never had anything like it and it was delicious. There is no gym (they have a contract with a local gym) but you would likely find it pleasant to run locally anyway because of the location. Secure undergound parking is five minutes walk up the hill. The free Internet was the best I have ever experienced. We were unfortunate in that it was carnival time in Brazil and so this was obviously an excuse for party time in Portugal - until 6am. Some rooms have more street noise than others and you need to choose your room carefully. If you go, try eating dinner at the Meson Andaluz around the corner. Unforgettable. More of a holiday than a business hotel, but if you are going to some of the government or European Commission buildings in the area it is incredibly convenient.

We had a wonderful weekend in Lisbon celebrating my friend's birthday. The LX hotel is just gorgeous and in a fantastic location, although be prepared to walk up some steep hills in Lisbon! When we arrived they had upgraded our room to a river view which was lovely. The staff were always extremely friendly and very helpful with suggestions of sights, restaurants & bars which all turned out to be excellent chocies. Our bedroom was modern & decorated very nicely with a great modern shower room. I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Lisbon.

Overall it was a good stay, but it ws quite noisy. Our room was right above several bars. You could hear people all throughout the night. The other direction you could hear a lot of traffic.

5 min walk to the main plaza and restaurants + shops. We were on the 2nd floor so we had a little 'street noise' even if windows were closed. Very charming hotel. Staff multilingual and very helpfull. We arrived early and they held our baggage for us so we could enjoy the town while our room was prepared. They also recommended good restaurants in the area. Rooms are clean and very modern. Would stay there again anytime.

Great hotel overall and the location is great with the train station a minute away and all the bars and restaurants of Bairo Alto a couple of minutes up the street. Only drawback is that they do not provide irons or ironing boards, and altough there is a laundry service, it's not available at weekends. Not that big a deal but should be stated on the website.

This is in a great location quite close to some very good restaurants. The staff recommendations for where to eat, when to leave for the airport, etc were spot on. The rooms were cute and, despite the location near several night spots, completely quiet. Our room was spotless, but did smell a bit of cigarette smoke. We would stay here again.

I have been to Lisbon three times before, but not for 10 years. I stayed in different parts of the city on previous occasions, but this time I knew that I wanted to be close to the river. I had booked one of their XPanded Riverfront rooms, and didn't get off to a good start when I found that I had been put in a City Front room by mistake. As they were fully-booked, there was no chance of being moved. The staff however, were extremely apologetic, and once realising it was their error, they IMMEDIATELY offered the two of us breakfast for our whole 4-night stay. The additional cost of this would have been more than the difference in room price...and their buffet-style breakfast was actually well worth it - we pigged ourselves on their lovely fresh selection every morning, fuelling us for each day's exploring. The room was clean, beautiful, the beds and linen were wonderful, the lighting was great, there were British-speaking channels available on the TV and the WiFi was complimentary. The exterior of the hotel was slightly shabby on one side - but to be honest, that is in fitting with Lisbon! 1 minute walk to the river, and to the nearest Metro, even less to the bus and tram. Me and my 13 year old daughter had a wonderful stay. Much recommended!

I think this may be the best hotel I've ever stayed in. I loved the decor at this hotel--it was clean, fresh, and simple, yet whimsical and pretty. The hotel is truly a Lisbon hotel--it's high-end without being a copycat of a Hilton. I'll definitely stay here again!

We booked this hotel for part of our honeymoon trip. It is a very unique hotel which was a relief for the standard looking hotels that you find everywhere. The staff was courteous and gave great recommendations for where to eat and catch local football games. The beds were very comfortable and the room we stayed in had a fantastic view that overlooked the surrounding area. The location was accessible to much of the city and close to a metro/bus/tram station. Cons: The room key activates the electricity to the room so when you walk in after a day of touring the room is hot and muggy with a funky smell and takes a while to cool down. They could also use a vent fan in the bathroom.

Great location, excellent staff, amazing designed details, superbly clean, OK-enough breakfast (the coffee lacked any strength or aroma). The hotel reflected the uniqueness of the city the way a chain hotel never could.

excellent stay, staff very welcoming. Only adverse comment relates to work being carried out overnight to the hotel extension which woke us on several occasions.

We enjoyed our stay very much at the lx. The young girls and guys who worked the front desk were all courteous and MOST helpful. The bathrooms were different and very nice! The room was very clean as was the hotel itself.The location is great. The metro is just around the corner. We would definitely stay there again and highly recommend it!

This is a great hotel in every respect. The staff is incredibly helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the bathrooms are the best I've ever experienced. I loved the shower. This is not a luxury hotel, but you can't beat thee value. The breakfast at 12 Euros was varied and of high quality.US Senior

This Hotel is well located across the street of the train station which easily connect to the tramway. I think it a old buildin d that has been renovated in a hotel. The floors crack a lot. If you like the nightlife a bar is right below the windows of the cityview rooms .

Loved the location could walk to Barrio Alto and Baxia. Hotel was very modern and nice and the staff is very nice and accommodating.

Area of the hotel is great but the surrounding buildings all seem to be vacant. The rooms are very small. It is tough to get around once a coule of suitcases are there. Bathroom is clean but rubber floor and walls seems to always look a bit dingy. Cool lighting. Great restaurant. Great colors. Very friendly staff.

Picked this place based on previous reviews. The hotel is in a great location by the water front and the staff at the hotel are so nice. Rooms are clean and trendy. Easy to get to just take the 1 aerobus from the airport for 3.50 euro per person and it's about 20 mins and it's the last stop. I would defiantly stay here again when I come back to Lisbon.

Great location with easy access to the central train station and tram. Staff was wonderful. Newly renovated, so while rooms are small, they have everything you need. Plus the free wireless internet was a nice bonus.

Our stay was short & sweet but we loved every minute of it! Amazing design, super comfy linen & duvet, fantastic location and helpful staff! Would definitely return next time we are in Lisbon!

Hotel location is awesome! Close to Cais do Sodre station, which has buses, trams, metro, trains, and ferries. Also walking distance to shopping, bars, restaurants, etc, and a stone's throw from the river. Only drawback is that it's a bit loud - but that's what happens when you're in the heart of the action :) Hotel staff are extremely pleasant and very accomodating. They let me leave my things when I arrived from the airport at 10am and my room wasn't yet available. They lent me an outlet converter and provide free wireless (though it's spotty). If you need to press your pants you have to pay for their send out laundry service or bring your own iron, because they don't have one on the premesis.

This hotel is lovely. The staff is kind and always helpful (which is rare in Portugal). The location is fantastic, just 5 minutes from Chiado and 2 minutes from the train and bus station. The room is a bit small, but very confortable and well decorated...very chic. I totally recommend it for couples and friends (maybe not for big families with kids).
