Leamington Hotel-Downtown/Port Of Miami - מיאמי

Hotel was old and disgusting. Neighborhood was not good. I actually did not stay as I walked up to my room, saw the cleanliness and quality and left. I say walked to my 4th floor room because the elevator did not work. The gentlemen at the front desk was very nice. Would give it a -3 on a scale from 1 to 5.

Great location is aboit all you can say for this place. Its perfect if you are planning just to sleep and leave. Pretty run down but I am sure it was the place ro be in the 1950s! Its the best they could do I guess. Clean tho and fresh paint and carpet. Like I said 100% great location and service. Free shuttle to airport and to cruise ship ports also!!

Who has old fashioned tv anymore, floors were very dirty and sticky, can't get up and down elevator when you need don't recommend anyone staying there but riff raff

It's in a good location and cheap considering the other options in the area, but that's it. We stayed in a family "suite" that had two exterior doors. Neither of them would close except by using the dead bolt. The air conditioners worked and the beds were good enough, but there were a lot of things, like missing traps in the bathroom sink, etc. that made it clear that maintenance isn't a high priority here. Finally, while they serve a free breakfast, they don't bring it out until 8 am, long after many of their guests have had to leave for the airport or other activities.

I read the reviews after I booked this hotel and thought, "Well, how bad can it be? It's only for 12 hours so we have a place to sleep before the cruise." But ya know what? It was that bad. The hotel is not well-maintained, the paint is peeling off the walls, the room felt claustrophibically small, and the bathroom was dirty. I was unsure when I walked into the room, but when I saw the stains on the shower stall floor, I decided we weren't staying. Fortunately, hotels.com was great in getting us a new place to stay on short notice and helping to get us a refund from the Leamington.

The hotel is in very bad condition, the old elevator does not work properly and the hotel aisles are vety scary, had a hard time finding my room. It works well for an overnight stay and for visitors to the AA arena but not recomended for longer stays.

It was really a bad experiance

Ultimately, I was satisfied, but definitely felt the price was inflated due to the Winter Music Conference. If you're going to Ultra next year, got shut out of the Holiday Inn around the block, and don't want to drop $30+ a day cab-ing it to Bayfront Park (not to mention, hunting for a cab when the festival lets out), then look no further. Outside of Ultra/WMC season, I can't really recommend this place.

Room was tiny and reminded me of a jail cell with 2 twin size beds, the toilet didnt flush and hot water only lasted for 5 minutes. The smell in the room was like an attic never again for that price

The hotel is a dump and I was a little afraid to sleep. Everything was older than anything I have ever seen in a hotel including the building and the carpet. That being said, the old stuff was clean even though you had to look hard to tell. Old stuff can only look so clean. The staff was nice. The neighborhood was scary at night and I wouldnt reccomend any woman walk alone, but convienent for my purposes. There is nothing they can do to fix it but remodel and buy all new stuff.

the hotel is an antique! so old and it smells like bleach. The elevator is the oldest elevators I have ever been on, it takes forever to go up or down and it has a very limited capacity. Again, this hotel is worth $50 at the most. Location is good but not worth it still.

First of all there is no parking. You have to drive around to find parking and more then likely pay a high price to park your call. The floors in the room were uneven, the door to the room have a dead bolt and that is all that locks the door. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone

The room was on the fourth floor & the elevator wasn't working. Only toast, coffee cake, coffee & Tea. No hotel parking.

All the other reviewers were correct, this hotel is a dump. I have no issue affording a better hotel but I had just spent a lot of money on a cruise so I figured a few days in a less than stellar hotel would be fine. I have stayed in 1 star hotels before but they were still clean and had the basic necessities which is all I needed. NEVER AGAIN! The only reason to stay in this DUMP(I'm really not exaggerating) if you truly cannot afford anything better. The problems with my hotel included: Room smelled, peeling paint, cold showers, Noise(each room had a cheap AC unit which was not installed flush with the window so sound and outside air entered the room. The lights were very dim. The wifi only worked occasionally and was very slow. The included breakfast consisted of junk bread. The elevator was broken for all 4 days of my stay. The entire hotel looks dirty and nothing is maintained. Literally all 8 outlets in my room were so worn that they would barely hold my phone charger in the while.

The location is convenient to the port. Hotel offers shuttle service, very nice! Well this hotel is very old and run down, but I must say the housekeepers do a nice job of what they have to work with. The cleanliness of the room was the best part of the place (aside from free shuttle service). The continental breakfast was a joke. Nothing but toast and coffee. The elevator requires an operator and is like from the early 20th century. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and for our purpose was just fine.

Aircon very noisy. very old building and this needs attention in rooms with doors cracked and overall look of rooms. Breakfast was toast and coffee, in south africa our places offers allot more for 127$.

This place will make you appreciate anywhere else. The rooms are dirty, small, dirty, windows painted shut, dirty, noisy from building aircon in the middle, dirty, close to the port but you still need transport, dirty. Would I stay there again? No. Did I mention how dirty and disgusting this place is.

The Lemington hotel was a big disappointment. the bed is the most uncomfortable sleep, the room smells I will never stay there nor would I recommend it.

The positives of this hotel are no bedbugs or cockroaches. The negatives follow: breakfast while included is served from 8-10, 8 is far to late for a business traveler; my room windows were opaque, so there was no way of telling the weather without going outside; construction was going on somewhere nearby and material was thrown out windows in the mifddle of the night, there was no way to change the temperature in the room, and the room was in a corner next to the large heating/AC units that ran all night. Speaking of running all night the toliet ran constantly and despite cbeing assured on the second morning that it would be fixed it was still running at 8pm when I came back.

The first thing that we noticed was the smell of the room and the unvacumed carpet. We thought "no big deal". Went to the cvs store and bought some fabreeze to cover up the bad odor. There were hair on the sheets that did not belong to us. Then the bathroom had mold and the water ran as if water was a first rate commodity. The floor felt dirty and there were limited towels. You could not step on the bathroom floor without feeling like you might catch a disease. On top of the quality and cleanliness of the room, the hotel was situated in an area that seemed to have traffic all through the night. There were people lounging outside and using the payphone outside the hotel all night. Homeless individuals Hung around outside asking for change. And their "free WiFi" sucked: along with their "free breakfast". After the first night we found rooms that opened at the Hilton for $209/night with great bayside view. For the extra we paid, it was such a worthwhile change. I do not recommend the Leamington to anyone who might be concerned about their safety or their personal property being left at the hotel. And one more thing, the only lock is the one accessible with a door key, not even a key card. And no safety latch from the inside either. This property needs examination from hotel regulators.

I choose this Hotel for its location. I wanted to be near the port of Miami for a cruise I was taking. I choose this hotel for the middle price point. The first clue was when my taxi driver dropped me off and said he didnt like this place. This is an old building that is in need of an overhall. However I did mange to have a good night sleep. The hotel was also fully booked.

The staff was very nice, but we bought new sheets to sleep on. Do not bring your kids!!! Splurge and stay somewhere else.

It was a great time and close to every thing that I was there for!

The blinds did not turn much so the room was were light (we asked to have it fixed and they would send one, but no one ever came), the beds kind of short. We stayed 1 night and that was enough, going on a cruise the next day. This hotel is with a good location near a free highrise mini train that was going through mid town. Wifi in the room is useless, we asked to get the system reset but nothing happened, eventhough we were trying 3 different divices.

I was embarrased upon arrival when there were all these men standing outside the doorway of our hotel. Looked like a seedy hotel and ny traveling buddy gave me the look like, "where did you find this place To be honest, I was being frugal. However, the staff was very pleasant, professional and acommodating. The room was sparsely decorated but clean. I would only recommend this to those on a shoe string budget and who just want a clean place to lie their head for one night.

Very old, run down building. Noisy tenant house. Crying children, yelling parents. Better than sleeping on the street if you're homeless. I can't recommend this place unless you can't afford a decent hotel.

For the price I paid I was not expecting a nice-looking hotel; but I was also not expecting an old-school elevator where the elevator person had to come get you! I highly DO NOT recommend this place to anyone who is going on vacation, but if you just need to sleep in one night -I guess you can deal with it. Overall, it was clean because you can smell the Clorox but the look of the hotel and the room was very 1920's. It looked like it had never been renovated since.

This hotel property could use a major face lift starting with an elevator that is self operating (they had times of elevator operations). I guess history buffs would enjoy the elevator experience. If your going to go for the nostalgic look, give our elevator operator a uniform with that pill box hat to look the part. Bottom line, we wanted to stay in a reasonably priced hotel near our outgoing cruise. We were coming in at 7pm so we didn't need a ocean front view or pool to relax around. Nice shopping/restaurant area nearby call "Bay Front" that the front desk recommended. So centrally located for restaurants, shopping and cruises. I hope the buildings owners see this review and realize they have an unpolished gem that could become a boutique type hotel if you put some money and imagination into it and much like the "Joi de vieve" Hospitality group whose transformed many run down properties into fun, functional, designer mid-priced hotel properties.

Very old building-this was the sharm of it. It remainded about an old move. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. Our room was composed of two adujcent rooms with shared bathroom: a lot of space for the group of people we had travelled. The hotel is located in downtown, so it was a bit loud during the night. Free wi-fi and shuttle to the port. Continental breakfast was very basic still enough to satisfy hunger. Fair price for service provided.

This was the worst hotel I have ever seen & would not let my dog stay the night at this place. Dirty, old, stinky & NOT save.

It was just right for an overnight stay to the Port. Very simple and neat. Love the old elevator! Very good price! Close to many stores like Walgreens, Cvs, if you like to walk. 7-Eleven and 24 hour corner restaurant also on the corner. Nothing like true reviews said! Recommend to all if you need a overnight stay to the Port. I have very sensitive skin, whatever they use to clean there sheets or the type of fabric it is I was allergic to it. That was my only con I had.

This hotel has a great location - within walking distance of the arena and several restaurants, bars, and shops. It is also 5 minutes from the port. That's the good part. Unfortunately it is decrepit. The ceiling was falling down in our room, and the bolt lock was broken. All of the paint is chipping. It is very noisy from the air conditioner and the nearby monorail, both of which run all night. The bed was very uncomfortable. They say they have an airport shuttle but not really - it only takes to the airport, not pick up, and it only takes twice a day, neither time in the morning or night. It is not someplace I care to return to.

The door had to be lifted up to lock it. There was gum on the wall. We moved the bed table to play cards and something?? was spilled on the wall. The light by the bed did not work because there was no outlet for it.

Very old hotel!! Door to bathroom didn't shut and the door to the room didn't close unless you put the deadbolt on. Didn't feel very safe. But only there for a quick one night stay. Rooms were clean, and free shuttle to the Port which was nice.

Pictures can really be deceiving. The room was dingy, with loud AC that makes nothing but noise. You will only have one key to the room & they won't open it for you even if you're the one staying on it. They have only sliced bread for breakfast and some cake nobody seems to know. The Internet wifi doesn't work unless you're in the lobby which makes the place too crowded with nowhere to sit. There was no reception when we came the first day & we waited for an hour to get settled. The elevator only works for a certain period of time. Outside noise can be well heard in the room. Should have been listed as dorm, not hotel, bad beds, rooms absolutely stunk no other words for it. Shower did not work no hot water morning or night. Should have listened to other reviews and yes it really was that bad and worse. Overpriced!!!!

The best location ever. Front bayside, nearby everything. By location, 5 stars, by confort, they owe me 2 stars.

This was the worst place I've ever stayed. While it is close to the cruise departure point, furture guests would be better off staying somewhere else in Miami (not downtown) and paying a shuttle service to take you to the docks! The room as cold (had to sleep fully dressed) no heat (at least on my floor). Reported it to the Manager. His response was, "I'll make the air conditioning less cold..." Wireless internet did not work on my floor (4th). Overall condition of the hotel was old and horrible! Looks like something right out of the 1930's. Had to take the stairs. Had an ancient elevator....like something out of a Hitcock movie. Only hotel staff could operate it! If you are going on a cruise out of Miami, stay somewhere else. This hotel DID NOT set a good tone for my first cruise. Hotels.com should stop doing business with this place.
