Bahia Marina Condo Resort - קולברה

The view from the room is absolutely amazing!! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and in good condition. The only thing I would say is that it is not close to the beach but on that island all hotels are located in such that you have to drive anyway. Overall I loved it here. I would definitely recommend it!!

It's my fourth year staying here and I feel like they are giving up on quality. There's trash on the steps. I think i cleaned more than the maintenance staff. Upon arrival the cleaning crew didn't even clean our room. I think they stopped by only once in 4 days. It's sad, this is such a lovely island and this hotel has always been our little secret place in paradise

It's OK if you know you go to almost uninhabited place. The price per room/unit is high, but majority of tourists on the island live in total trash. Although there are some very expensive places where you will pay $300, 400, 500 per night or higher. The quality of room is OK, but check all taps, locks, water pressure, light etc. Frequently it does no work. However, the staff is cooperative to fix it. Oh, and the name of Bahia has nothing to do with conventional Bahia resorts. This is misleading in terms of high quality expectations.

I read reviews of the hotel before going this time and found that customer's concerns were being addressed. This was our second visit to the Bahia Marina and our fifth to Culebra. The facility is a bit weathered, but they are putting fresh paint on during their downtime. We stayed in a one-bedroom with a view of the bay. We were in a room with a broken slider door lock and they accommodated our move to another room as soon as one was available since maintenance was waiting for parts to fix it. I read some visitors commented on kitchen equipment and bugs. I saw exterminators doing regular spraying and new frying pans going into rooms. I was pleased to see that they read the same reviews I did and were doing something about it. There is not a lot to choose from on Culebra and the Bahia Marina offers great views, a nice property, an excellent restaurant and two pools. The staff were helpful, polite and accommodating. I would stay there again.

The staff was friendly and they certainly gave us a room with an incredible view. However, I was thankful that we were not staying there more than 24 hours. First off, please note that the hotel has a cancellation policy of 1 month prior to date of reservation-meaning if the weather is bad and you can't catch a ferry (which was almost our situation) you can not get a refund. The hotel unfortunately has two phone lines and they do not answer the second line-so if you are unfortuante enough to not realize this-you will call and call and call with no response. So the good stuff first-great view of the ocean, incredibly friendly staff. Space wise-we had more than sufficient space to accomodate up to 5 people in our room. Good airconditioning incase you need it. Downside-this hotel is incredibly run down. Our room probably could have been renovated for under $500. The sheets were kind of musty/damp, the mirror in the bathroom was so incredibly filthy, the shower was in need of new grout. They do provide you with a bar of soap. Towels are kind of old and not "hotel quality." TV remote needed new batteries. TV itself was about the size of a small computer monitor (but who seriously cares about TV when you are in Culebra). The pool was cold and not so clean. If you are ok "roughing it," then you will be fine here. Just do not expect anything spectacular. If I had to do it again, I would have used a travel agent and planned a little further in advance.

First when we arrived on the island by ferry, they were supposed to pick us up. We waited, baking in the sun, for over a half hour to get picked up. They said we should have called..... We did call 16 times but tere was no answer. The hotel was not near any of the good beaches. The beds were worn out. The overall state of the hotel was a bit worn and tattered. The view from our room was nice but that did not make up for the other shortcomings of th property. Finally, the clincher..... They had no breakfast. The front desk guy told us to walk to the next hotel way down two big hills. They were closed too so we hiked all the way back starving and angry. Not once did the hotel staff apologize or try to make things right. They did not seem to appreciate our business at all. I expect a bit more for the money we spent.

Nelly in the reception organise you everything you need. She is very kind and warm person anyway. BM turn out to be popular diner place lots of people comes from other hotels. It isnt big surprise food and atmosphere is there excellent.

The hotel was perfect for our family-- yes, some of it is a bit run down and could use some maintenance, but the location is great, the staff was wonderful, the pools were clean and nice, and having it a bit "not on the fancy" side made it even more relaxing for us and our 3 kids. Our 2 bedroom villa was very big so we could spread out and it was great to be able to eat some meals in. Housekeeping came daily and did a super job of cleaning up our sand etc! The island is wonderful-- gorgeous beaches with great snorkeling right from the beach. Very undeveloped, laid back, safe, with some great little restaurants: just right.

Our family of six stayed in a two bedroom villa with a futon that slept two in the living room. The rooms were clean and spacious. Each room had an air conditioning unit and there was a washer and drier in the master bedroom, The beds were very comfortable ... we all slept very well. The two bathrooms were nice and clean. We did not cook any of our meals but the kitchen was nice and seemed to be fully equiped. We didn't have any views of the bay. We basically used the villa just to sleep in. We didn't eat at the restaurants or go to the pools but they seemed nice (the restaurant was pricey). The staff was helpful. The hotel is away from the main town area which I liked but you do need a car to go anywhere. I would definitely stay there again!

We were a group of 6 staying at the villas of Bahia Marina and we absolutely loved it! The resort is situated in a mountain top- a prime location for spectacular views of the bay and the ocean! It was absolutely beautiful. The staff there were exemplary! The only draw back was the lunch grill at the "Cayos" bar and grill by the pool. The food was cold and very little portions for the amount payed. However, the bar and restaurant up next to the check in lobby was fantastic!!!! I had a yuca (cassava) mofongo stuffed with chicken and I was absolutely satisfied, not to mention the passion fruit mojitos which were to-die-for! It made up for the dare back we bad at the pool bar earlier that day. Over all, great place. Beautiful location and surrounding. I recommend it to all of you who enjoy the wonderful sun and waters of the Caribbean.

Bahia Marina is beautifully located on a hilltop overlooking the bay. The staff is unfailingly accommodating and friendly. We felt like family. Gorgeous views. Restaurants are delightful and clearly a favorite of the locals. The fresh fish dishes are fantastic. We'll be back...

Compared to the rest of the hotels I passed by while we stayed in Culebra, Bahia Marina definitely seems like the nicest one. The rooms were nice and clean, with a beautiful view from the balcony. The hotel had it's own restaurant and bar, but it only serves dinner. The hotel is far away from things to do, so you have to take a taxi anywhere, but they will pick you up and take you back to the ferry when you leave without additional charges. I would recommend this hotel to anyone spending the night in Culebra.

We had a terrific time at the Bahia Marina! The hotel is perched on a beautiful hillside overlooking a gorgeous aqua blue bay! The restaurant was great and was highly recommended by a Culebra local. You'll love it! We also rented a car from Carlos Jeep, which was great! They have a fleet of brand new 2011 Jeeps, which is a fun way to explore the island.

Si no fuera por la vista, este hotel debe ser calificado de una estrella. Por la decadencia de sus instalaciones (en especial baño y mobiliario), no vale ni la mitad de lo que cotiza.

Tres bel hotel, une vue des plus magnifique. Chambre avec kitchenette, 2 salles de bain, balcon avec vue imprenable sur la baie. Le seul point noir c est qu il est loin du centre ville et des plages et que l ile est tres valonnee. Une voiture est obligatoire ou pour les sportifs une location de velos.

Estuvimos en un lugar de paz y armonía. Lo recomendamos la van a pasar maravillosamente y ni que hablar de las chicas de la recepcion son dos dulzuras.No duden en elegirlo volverán iluminados y algunas embarazadas ¡ojo! MARAVILLOSO!!!!!!
