the room was on 2 floors with a mezanine. In principle it could be nice but it's not very practical. The internal stair was steep

Good but room had no place for clothes other than closet. There were no chest of drawers to put shirts, socks, etc. The rooom was extremely small and hardly enough room to get around the bed. The old fashioned key which one had to turn into the front desk was inconvenient. Confusion over dates of reservation for addition day. Dining room was OK.

If you go there from Aix TGV, it will take you quite a while by bus and another walking for 15 min. I had to take a heavy carrier.. so i dont want to recommend this hotel if you need to take TGV. Room condition was ok but staff was not helpful.

Neat, clean and very well located.

Our stay and experience at the Hotel Saint Christophe was great! The hotel is in the perfect location-right in the middle of the town. We were within walking distance to more attractions than we had time to see. Our visit to Aix en Provence was the favorite part of our European vacation that included stays in Monte Carlo, Florence and Venice. I highly recommend a trip to this city and to stay at the Hotel Saint Christophe! My only constructive recommendation would be that the hotel improves the comfort of their beds and bedding, and this is a minor gripe. The hotel provided excellent service and we will definitely return our next trip to the area!

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Saint Christophe and would certainly stay there again. The hotel is perfectly located, clean, comfortable, attractive, well maintained, and very professionally run. Our only small negative--not enough space in the room to easily place two carry on size suitcases. And an oddity--the hotel enters through the middle of an often bustling brasserie.

Close to tourist bureau, bus and local train and old town, the hotel was convenient to everything. Room was small, particularly with extra bed, but adequate for short stay. Staff very helpful and hotel bistro and cafe a good standard.

stayed for four nights, helpful staff and great location aside from the €12.50 charge for breakfast cannot fault otherwise.

We booked at the low Internet rate and the room was somewhat small but comfy enough and the bathroom upgraded. Had 2 meals in the restaurant and it was decent. The front dek staff were efficient and nice. Exceptionally convenient and an easy walk to the bus or train station. Excellent in its price range, a minute from Cours Mirabeau. Recommend.

Very nice Hotel with excellent restaurant on main floor.

The first greeting set the scene - what great staff, especially Christophe. Rooms are cosy and the decor straight from the twenties. The restaurant downstairs has wonderful food and the location couldn't be better. You can be proud of yourself!

Our accomodation was excellent and the hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is the best location for walking to all the sights and close to the helpful Tourist Information Center. If you are arriving in Aix en Provence by train, look for the shuttle bus that takes you a couple blocks from the hotel - costs under 10 euros each. When we arrived in Aix we were tired and grabbed a cab which cost 35 euros!

Well presented entrance halls and room, good staff with good English. Sadly the loo flush had problems, and the en-suite was just a foot or two too small.

The value proposition here is great. This is a modest, comfortable hotel (very good beds) in a terrific location. Staff is helpful, it has a lively brasserie, and there isn't a better location in Aix. Rooms are small, but I'm not in Aix to hang out in my room.

Hotel was comfortable, bed was good, dinner was great. Had the slowest internet I have encountered since dial-up and only available for one logon so that was a big disadvantage to us who are travelling in a different hemisphere and need to keep in touch with family by email. Will not return for that reason only. All else was good.

You couldn't ask for a better location just off the Cours Mirabeau. The hotel is very clean and well-kept. It's a terrific value. I'd gladly stay there again and have no hesitation to recommend it.

I think hotel was very nice but found hotel front desk not very friendly! I would recommend it for location.

This hotel is in a wonderful location, a bit shabby on the edges. Definitely clean, though! I would definitely go back. A restaurant is attached to the hotel, and a big bowl of fruit is available as you enter the hotel. Big plus with my daughter!

The great advantage of the hotel is its wonderfully central position, close to the beautiful Cours Mirabeau, shops and restaurants and the bus station at which coaches from the TGV station and Marseille airport arrive.The rooms are quiet, fairly comfortable but not luxurious and dinner is reasonably priced. However, we thought that breakfast was overpriced.and better bargains were to be had in the nearby Flunch and the local cafes.

The service was friendly and helpful, the location was stunning, walking distance to everything. I ate my best French meals in the hotel restaurant. Aix is such a pretty friendly city.

This hotel has a perfect location just off of the central La Rotonde, right next door to the Office de Tourisme and a 5 min walk to the bus station for the shuttle from the airport. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful, the decor is attractive and the restaurant serves very good food, if a little pricey. The only negative was our very small room and the lack of online info about the room types. I recommend calling ahead to confirm exactly the type of room being reserved. We would stay there again and recommend it to our friends.

Hotel was fine and in a great central location. Our only complaint was that it would it would have been helpful if the hotel had notified us that the Iron Man competition was taking place so we could not get near the hotel until after 5pm to park.

Better hotels in area.We were in an old room.. funky. Was very hot end of September air did not work.A woman came up and could not get it to work ...then she said they turned it off for the season..Odd. Just average .

The rooms reek, the sheets are coarse, the pillows a joke, the shower is tiny, I had to climb over the sink to get to it. The hot water erratic. The staff is rude and unhelpful, and I speak French. The food is lousy, my companion found a hair in his food. The garage impossible to park in and not free as they advertise. This is the most disgusting hotel I have stayed in in my entire life.

This hotel is close to the train station and the tourism office. It is also right in front of a daily sidewalk market and beautiful fountains. Everyone was so helpful in giving us advice on where to go and what to see. The room was a double bed with all modern conveniences. It was clean and the beds were firm. Internet service was not available on the 4th floor even with the code they gave us, so we had to connect down at the lobby, which was really not a problem. Breakfast in the adjoining restaurant we by-passed for Aix's local fare. The old town is a must-see with cobble stone streets and old buildings. If you are a little adventurous, take the day trip to Marseille and La Calanques...absolutely beautiful!!!! It's a little confusing but here's the skinny: --Bus from Aix to Gare Aix (bus/train station) --Metro no.2 to Rond du Point du Prado (buy enough "voyages" for round trip) --Bus no. 21 to Luminy (free transfer from the metro) --go to the end of the line (last stop) --From there you'll seethe entrance to the park and the hiking paths to the cliffs by the sea Take a bathing suit, towel, mat, sunscreen and camera if you go!

stayed in several 2* hotels in Provence and this was by far the best. We had a delightful balcony and whilst the room was a little noisy it was the weekend and it was only sounds of people enjoying themselves. We ate in the restaurant and it was good value and excellent quality. For something different catch the bus to Montagne St Victoire - stunning views. Ask for details at Tourist Info.

We recently stayed at the St. Christophe for 3 nights & really liked the location. The hotel staff was very helpful & efficient. Everything we wanted to do could be done by bus from the nearby bus stations. The tourist office was right next door and the main street -Cour Mirabeau - was just across the street. I would definitely stay there again & highly recommend it. GH

This place is your basic two-star hotel - it is no "little gem" per other reviews. It has a good location and it is clean, but it is nowhere you want to spend more than a night or so. If you really want to spend time in Aix or to be in the room for more than just sleeping, keep looking.

I did quite a bit of research to try to find the best hotel for me in Aix en Provence. I noticed this hotel kept getting 2 stars or maybe sometimes 3. However the reviews were fantastic, so I decided to give it a try. I got a good deal on expedia.com. The hotel is in the PERFECT location. The train station is about a 5 minute walk away - you literally exit the station and go down Avenue Victor Hugo and voila! the hotel. It is situated right by the big fountain on the Cours Mirabeau. The first room I was given had two small twin beds and smelled of smoke. I returned to the desk and kindly explained that I had requested a double bed. The front desk attendant was more than happy to switch out my room. The room I received was small, but had a nice double bed and was very clean. Positives: - Great staff, very friendly - 10% coupon for dinner in the restaurant - great food - Bar is ideally situated for people watching and prices are reasonable - Location, location, location. The other option on here which was highly rated was the Hotel Cezanne - but that hotel is almost on top of the train station and no where near the centre of Aix life like this hotel - English is spoken well. I speak French but all the staff seemed to speak English well - The rooms are a bit odd; you have to lock the door after you leave. I'm used to self-locking hotel rooms and so I came back on my 2nd day to find a nice note in broken English from the housekeeper reminding me to lock my door. Nothing was missing. Negatives: - I wanted a snack, a salad around about 4pm and was told the kitchen was closed until 7pm. - Bed was not very comfortable, and pillows were a joke - No shower curtain in the shower (despite a showerhead), which meant the bathroom got very, very wet. There wasn't even a rod, so I'm not sure what I was supposed to do - No washcloth - Toiletries were replaced sporadically - Wireless internet was free but did not function well at all I could see why the hotel wasn't 3 star... it is

El hotel esta al lado de la oficina de turismo y al lado de la cour Mirabeau, de allí se puede ir caminando a todos los demás sitios. Hay un restaurante dentro del hotel, de echo tienes que pasar por él para llegar a recepción. Las chicas no son así muy amables, pero hacen su trabajo. Tienen parking a 13€/dia, no probamos el desayuno porque me pareció caro, por la zona desayunas por 6€. La habitación estaba limpia, es pequeña pero tenia todo lo basico, armario, cama y ducha. Internet wifi gratis. Volvería a alojarme aquí.

A parte la camera, decisamente sottodimensionata, tutto in perfetto ordine. Posizione ottima, ristorante in linea con le aspettative, personale ok, wifi free.

予約した部屋のタイプと異なりましたが、部屋の中の料金カテゴリーは同じでしたので特に不満はありません。以前（１０年前）も同じホテルに泊まりましたが、内装が一新されており快適でした。駅から５分、バスターミナルから１０分と徒歩での移動に便利です。宿泊ゲストには昼・夕食が１０％割引のサービスあり。深夜着や早朝の出立にも便利。インフォメーション＆郵便局も近く、短期の滞在に重宝しました。ただ、ロトンド（ドゴール広場）に面しているためかなり騒音は厳しいです。

Gute Lage, sauber, freundlicher Service, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Baulärm in unmittelbarer Umgebung, angekündigte Aussicht nicht vorhanden ("Blick" auf graue Hauswand), versprochene Überraschung im Zimmer nicht eingehalten
