The DeBary Inn - סאמיט

This is a lovely B&B, close to a lovely town center, very friendly hosts, and generous breakfast. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning had not been turned on--granted, it was mid May, but our room on the third floor was very warm, even with the ceiling fan. We arrived late in the evening, so did not have anyone to speak with about this.

A perfect choice - the Debary is lovely and very convenient to all (it also has off street parking)

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walked to a nice dinner and returned to a cozy home away from home. Breakfast was perfect!

Found this to be just lovely...gorgeous Victorian, friendly and accommodating staff...what a pretty place to be. Need to leave time to explore the town, which I didn't have. Pretty shops and just a short walk to NJ Transit rail line into Penn Station NYC. Would Definitely stay there again!

First time, first stay, like a bed and breakfast, very quaint. Usually stay at family's house, but definitiely recommended.

We arrived late but called ahead and were told how to find the room. We were surprised to find the bed obviously used and a used teacup on the dresser. No one was around but after a call to the hotel number we were directed to another room which turned out to be larger and quite comfortable. Still, a bit disconcerting!

Hotel was great. A real home feel, clean and easy to get in and out. Close to restaurants and in good neighborhood. Would stay here again

Second time staying there and already making plans for a third time

Other than a slight problem with the heater -- it made rather a lot of noise, so at the manager's suggestion with great apologies,I turned it on to warm things up, left for the evening, and came back and turned it off -- everything was just wonderful. Antique furniture in the room, renovated bath with plenty of amenities. Very helpful young man at the desk, plentiful breakfast in the AM. Lovely old inn, quite a special neighborhood, convenient to an event I was attending at Baltusrol Golf Club.

I attended a weekend class for my graduate school and they all stayed at another local Summit hotel. I didn't like the ratings that hotel got and found the DeBary Inn. I absolutely loved the house! I loved the security at the front door, loved my room and had no idea that it was owned by Jim Cramer, financial guru. When I walked into the kitchen on Sunday morning and he served me my bacon & eggs, I was pleasantly shocked! I have been following his show and had no idea he owned this B&B. I loved this place and would go back and highly recommend it to anyone!!

Nice conveniently located b&b w/friendly service in good location.

Nobody at the reception to let you in - you must figure out how to enter thebuilding & then figure out what room you arre in. No elevator so you must drag the luggage by yourself. Breakfast is a rip-off - cold quiche, no coffee, little offered to eat at all. No telephone in the room, no reading lamps by bed. Therefore, we cancelled 3 last nights by phone to a Hotels.com clerk.

The day I arrived there was wine and and a cheese tray happy hour and a member of the staff was giving talking about the history of the house. Breakfast was simple continental, nothing fancy. the sitting room was comfortable with a TV and easy chairs so you dont feel confined to your room. It was a nice change from a standard hotel. Great restaurants nearby.

This is a lovely little bed and breakfast right in the heart of Summit, NJ. There aren't many hotel options near Overlook Hospital (in Summit), and this was perfect! It was less than a mile from the hospital. The room small, but very comfortable. I got in late, and the innkeeper had already called to let me know how to get into the front door, as well as leaving me instructions at the desk. The sitting and dining rooms were very spacious and comfortable. There is also a lovely porch and a small garden/courtyard outside. The breakfast was nice. I would recommend to anyone visiting the Summit area!

The Inn is a converted Summit, NJ mansion. My room was a converted bedroom on the scond floor. It was small with no room for storage other than clothes. One side of the room had a sink. The other side had a toilet and shower. It had one chair, two small Victorian tables flanking the bed. Each table held a lamp. I could barely get my wallet, keys, and glasses on the two tables. The dresser held the TV. My toiletries and razor were on the dresser in front of the TV. Not very comfortable. The continental breakfast was O.K. I was offered eggs by the manager which was nice, but it was not my day for eggs. The table cloth where I sat had dried smush on it. All in all, it was convienient, but . . . .

The DeBary Inn is conveniently located within walking distance to the upscale town center of Summit, NJ. This well maintained & updated Inn offers modern conveniences but has maintained it's charming character. The public and private rooms offer a casual elegance style and my room was spacious and well appointed. The updated bathroom and cozy bathrobe were a welcomed retreat. The staff is delightful and very attentive. I highly recommend a visit to this wonderful Inn.

This is a lovely hotel with so much charm. It has antique look and everyone around is really friendly. They are only staffed during the day. If you are checking in in the evening, you would need a code for the front door in order to enter the building. At the front desk you would see your room assignment. You just walk to your room and that is it! The area is really nice. There are tons of restaurants in a couple of blocks radius. There is also a movie theater close by. I have stayed in room 15 which is on the top level and is really nice and spacious with a queen size bed. The TV is a bit small, but not really an issue. The bed and pillows were comfortable. I would definitely recommend this place whether you are staying for pleasure or business. It is very unique in a way that no hotel chain can offer.

I was in town for my HS Reunion. The location of The DeBary Inn is perfect...walking distance to everything I needed! I felt very comfortable; had a small room, but knew that going into it. I did get to peek into the other larger rooms and they were very well appointed. Jon (the manager) was very accomodating over the phone and the owners, Mr. & Mrs. Haley, were present on Saturday and Sunday which made it very pleasant! Continental breakfast was served Sunday morning. Overall, I would stay again at The DeBary Inn and would recommend it to my friends!

We were very satisfied, needing somewhere to stay overnight in Summit. The small Inn was clean, well maintained and the staff were very helpful - even giving us a tip on whether taxi's show up on time. It is in a quiet neighborhood and very convenient for town. No complaints.

I booked the room for a friend who had to depart from Newark Airport the next day. She was delighted by the cleanliness and design of her single room. The neighborhood is lovely and with more time, she would have enjoyed walking around. The best was the close vacinity to the airport, especially since she was driving a rental car and unfamiliar with the area. I'd definitely recommend this to friends.

This was my second visit in two weeks and I was very happy with the location, room and service.

What a great hotel. I stayed on a whim because of business in the area and was simply taken aback with how great it was. The staff was superb. Everything was in order, down to the air conditioning in my room having been set to be comfortable before I got there (middle of 2 day heat wave). The place is well kept and in great shape. The neighborhood is awesome. I was pleasantly surprised and had a FANTASTIC stay. I would definitely stay again the next time I have business in the area, or even if out on a vacation. I LOVED it.
