Morecambe Bay Guest House - מורקאמב

had a large room with a very good view of all the bay.

This guest house is not very inviting it looks like it needs some TLC. I think we were the only people staying there despite the sign in the window saying no vacancies. The bedroom and bathroom were very spacious, but lacked the cosy / homely feel. There was no heating on in our room when we arrived but we thought it would come on later, but when we got back it still was not on. My husband went downstairs to check if the other radiators were on, he said they were. Then there was a knock at the door it was the landlady she said she had seen my husband walking about downstairs! I told her there was no heating on in our room, she said it should have come on at 3pm so she went in another room to check the boiler, she said someone must have been playing about with it and they had switched it off! she said sorry about that and the heating came on. The window in the bedroom would not close properly and it was quite windy and cold, so we tried to close it but realised it was broken, there was an annoying whistling noise coming from it so we stuffed it with plastic bags which helped. The breakfast was served downstairs in the basement, it felt cold down there and not very inviting we had cereal to start only 2-3 choices, the cooked breakfast was partly cold and they did not ask us if we would like more toast, we did not see anyone again. I would not say it was a four star!
