ibis Budget Antwerpen Centraal Station (formerly ETAP HOTEL) - אנטוורפן

This is a basic hotel room near the train station, which is very good for those people that only need a hotel room for a short period or are only using the hotel as a base. This will not be confused with the Ritz or the Hilton. The room is very basic. You get a bed, a desk which comes out from the wall and two plastic chairs. But, if you are just going to use the room to sleep, what else do you need?

I have stayed at this Ibis once before. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful, but remember, this is a budget hotel. The location is just a couple of blocks from Antwerpen Centraal Station which is very convenient. This is a good hotel for an overnight and a good value for being in such a central location.

very good would go there again........ staff were very helpful.....very good value.......everything is new, clean, tidy,cleaners doing a good job....... staff at your sevice.....i didnot no how to log on2 my internet the staff helped & within minutes he showed me what to do......i asked for extra pillows & blanket within a hour they were givin.......best hotel i have had especialy what u pay fantastic value......

I spent one night, and my experience was absolutely fine. If you've stayed in an Ibis before, you know they're pared-down budget hotels. My check-in was quick and easy; the room was clean; it's only a few blocks from the Central Station; all the sights are easily walkable; and if you need anything there's a supermarket right next door. If I had been traveling with another person, or if I had to stay longer than, say, two nights, I might opt for a hotel with bigger rooms. Positives: location to the train station; location to sights. Negatives: rock-hard beds.

The hotel is conveniently located for anyone using Antwerp central station and is in a safe area. It is a 25 minute walk to the Grote Markt city centre. The room was spartan but very clean.

This place was really a pretty good bargain. The place is clean and comfortable. It's very convenient--right near the train station, but quiet! My only disappointment was the free wifi; it "went out" while I was there and no one seemed to know how it would be fixed, so there was no access for the last 72 hours of my stay. If you've never been to Antwerp or Europe before, you should know that places with free wifi are pretty rare, so it is not easy to just "find a place" if you need to get online. Anyway, other than that minor frustration, this was a pretty good place.

As when I stayed here previously, check in was painfully slow though the staff were friendly and tried hard. Somebody had given the interior of the lift a good kicking but that may well have been too recent to have been repaired. Rooms are basic but comfortable with an excellent shower. A few odd characters hanging around the neighbourhood and also staying at the hotel. Lidl supermarket next door.

This hotel was an easy luggage roll from the central train station - a big plus. They also offered free wifi in the room. Another big plus. It's a budget hotel, and with that, you get a plain room with minimal extras, but for me, it worked out great. One thing to keep in mind is that they are undergoing major construction right now... not a huge deal for me, but may be if you need a breakfast room or have a problem with seeing construction materials everywhere.

Very close to Central Station (new south entrance) en parking (16 euro's for 24 hrs.). 12 minutes walk to parking National Bank (6 euro 24 hrs). Nice bright rooms. Separate toilet and shower. Only drawbacks are the hard beds and lack of coathooks. Breakfast was nice and gives a good start.

The hotel was priced appropriately. It had only the basics, which is all I needed. Good location.. it is an enjoyable 15 minute walk through the large shopping district to reach the old town square. I appreciated its convenience to the central train station as well. Antwerp's neighborhood surrounding the train station is not as sketchy as some other towns. I felt reasonably comfortable walking back to the hotel at night.

We stayed in Antwerp for one night - and enjoyed it! The hotel is next to the train station and therefore very good to reach by train. City center and historic city are about 20 min to walk - what you should do, nice city! The price for this kind of room was totally okay. We had a nice light room. The shower was hot and comfortable. The room was clean at all - except the part behind the door ;-) The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nothing special but satiable! We recommend this hotel completely! Small advice: Visit the Museum aan de Stroom - great view over the city and the haven for free ;-)

I stayed 2 nights at the Etap hotel in Antwerp. Good: Location- right behind Central train station, price, free wifi in lobby, clean, Not so good - no frills, feels like a dorm room. Overall- Great for a budget traveler.

Week 9...I think, wouldn't go anywhere else at the mo!

Had a problem with the bill, that I am sure would have taken weeks to sort out if I had been staying in a French ETAP, but in Antwerpen, so took 10 minutes and no threats of violence or gun toting required. Will stay again.

Still great, pubs nearby, clean, tidy, pleasant staff, including the Night Watch man.

bon hotel, sans fioritures mais tout à fait confortable. Accueil chaleureux et disponible. Bon plan pour 1 ou deux nuits vu le prix très attractif.

Гостиница в 5 минутах ходьбы от вокзала, не в сторону центра. Очень скромная обстановка в номере: шкафа нет. Соединение с интернетом хорошее. Звукоизоляция нормальная. Если захотите оставить багаж на какое-то время после выписки - придется платить за каждую сумку.

Heb er een over het algemeen goede ervaring gehad. Bedden zijn helaas vrij hard dus niet zo comfortabel, maar 1 of 2 nachtjes is wel te doen. Als je langer wilt, kun je beter voor een hotel met iets meer sterren kiezen. Het hotel is pal naast station Antwerpen centraal, dus als je niet ver wilt slepen met baggage is dat ideaal. Het is een budget hotel, dus je hebt alleen de basics. Op de kamer heb je, op een tv met 12 zenders na, geen vermaak. Maar als je overdag toch alleen maar op pad bent, is dat niet erg. Alles is netjes en schoon, de inrichting is modern, absoluut geen muffe bedoening. Veel winkels en eetgelegenheden in de directe omgeving van het station. Winkelstraat de Meir is zo'n 10 minuten lopen, het oude centrum 15 a 20 minuten.

De kamer was erg schoon en netjes. Ook redelijk dichtbij het centrum. Bed was ook oké alleen te platte kussens waar je eigenlijk niet op kunt slapen. Voor de tweede nacht hebben we gelukkig extra kussens gekregen. Groot minpunt was het ontbijt; hier hadden we nog spijt van dat we dit bijgeboekt hadden. Heel weinig keus en zelfs de koffie was niet te drinken...dikke afrader dus. Maar voor de rest een oké hotel.

Très bien placé mais très mal insonorisé du coup on entend pas mal les gens qui marchent qui claquent les portes, etc. Mais très correct niveau rapport qualité/prix!

Dit is wat een budget-hotel dient te zijn: een minimum aan luxueuze afwerkingen, maar geen inbreuk op functionaliteit en hygiëne. Het was een modern, proper onderhouden hotel voorzien van alle nodige uitrusting (douche, lavabo, wc, flatscreen en WiFi). Linoleum vloerbekleding (dus geen stoffige vieze tapijten). Nette kamer, sober maar functioneel. Ligging van dit hotel is ideaal voor een citytrip.

Heel simpel hotel, maar wel schoon. Hotelreceptie wil geen geld wisselen voor hun eigen koffie- (heel belangrijk na een avondje op stap) en frisdrankautomaat. Vreemd.

Très bon séjour. Hôtel situé juste derrière la gare, très pratique. Par contre un peu loin du centre touristique à pied mais cependant largement faisable. Chambre très propre et confortable, personnel très gentil et serviable. Petit déjeuner copieux et bon. Parfait pour les petits budgets qui recherchent avant tout un point de chute en centre ville

Prima

Arrived late around 1.00AM. No problem to check in - very welcoming staff. Rooms are simple and there is always someone to ask if you have any problem. Breakfast is also simple and for resonable price. Don't expect very much thou, this hotel is pure value for your money. If you want comfort and luxury go somewhere else. I am happy with what i got!

eenvoudig hotel, locatie is gunstig. Prijs/kwaliteit verhouding prima

Prima voor een schone practische kamer voor een overnachting. Dichtbij station was een pluspunt voor ons.
