Americas Best Value Inn - היילנד

The smell of disinfectant/cleaner was overpowering. The beds sagged. The sound of people walking in the room overhead was louder than the sounds in the room. Ditto for the sound of laundry next to our room. The "free WIFI" did not work. Too many appliances plugged into a three-way adapter--looked unsafe, but the adapter kept getting pushed out when the room chair was put in place--not sure if that made it less of a hazard or more. Final insult? The packets of shampoo were impossible to open without scissors. I would have expected this in a $39 a night hotel, but not at the price they charge.

We were about 6 miles from where we had to be the next day and that wasn't too bad, we have stayed in better, but overall it was a clean place to stay for a quick night over. The price was better than most in the area. The walls were a little thin, but it was a lot better than what we expected from the other reviews that we read. We were upgraded from a double bed to two double beds in the room and the bathroom was newly remodeled. We were pleasantly surprised.

Everything was great, minus the wi'-fi didn't work in our room which was back in the corner of the hotel. T.V. nice flat screen with remote, however no guide so if you are not from the area then it is one channel at a time. Shower was fancy looking, but water pressure was something to be desired. The water did stay hot enough for back to back showers for the wife and I. The service was great and extremely friendly. Overall 2 thumbs up

Great location room not clean spacious not recommend

I was lookiing for a bed to sleep in and I found it. When I arrived around 10:30 the office was dark and locked. Had to use phone by the door to call. A guy in pajamas came down and signed me in. First key didn't work, instead of making a new key, he upgraded my room. Room was clean, recenly remodled. Shower, no tub. TV reception was a little glitchy, but functional. There were no extras, like breakfast, no pool, but the room was nice and I was really only there to sleep, so it was fine.

My Americas Best Value Inn room was very clean but incredibly basic. It had a shower stall instead of a tub. The bed was extremely hard and you can hear trucks on the highway most of the night. If you can't afford anything else, than this is a good hotel.

Arrived at the hotel at 11 am, I had to wake the clerk up in order to check in. I asked to be switched to a room with double beds, since my brother came with me to my grandmothers funeral. He attempted to charge me a extra $24 per night. I explained to him that the website stated that price was the same as a queen. He stated "oh ok" ... Went into the room, and the first thing you see is a large gap between the ax/heat unit, seeing the snow outside!! The door was the same way! The owner was very unfriendly, offering not so much as clean towel. Very disappointing. We got another hotel room.

This hotel was the best deal I found lately. Since it was the lowest priced in the area, I expected meager lodgings. My room was very nice and recently renovated. Had a flat screen TV, fridge, microwave, free internet and the bathroom was very nice. I would stay again.

We vacation upstate every October and usually stay further north in/near Saugerties, but our friends were getting married in Esopus this past weekend so we took a chance on this place; our expectations were exceeded. It looks kind of dumpy from the outside, but inside everything was clean and new, and in fact our room was better appointed than the much more expensive one we had a few months ago in Atlantic City. Full-size microwave, tall mini-fridge, LCD TV, frameless glass shower... basically a lot of modern features for such a cheap place. My only complaints are that at least in our room, there were a couple of engineering failures - most of the power outlets were obscured by the furniture (a no-no in 2012 where many travelers will have some combination of laptop, cell phone, and tablet that need to be plugged in), the shower door was installed directly behind the shower head (making for a messy bathroom floor if you want to adjust the temperature before getting in), and the door to our room was a real pain to close properly. All things considered, I give this place an 8/10 and would definitely stay again.

It is quite obvious that this inn is undergoing a major renovation. The units are large and comfortable, the hosts friendly and the location great. This in not the Hilton, so if you are expecting that go somewhere else. The bed, shower, and size of the room are good. I'll stay there again if in the area.

Recently renovated but a shoddy renovation. The drop ceilings were not cut to fit, the rug had a curl in it that I frequently tripped over. There was no chair in the room to sit in so watching TV or using my laptop while sitting on the bed was somewhat problematic for me. Otherwise, the beds were comfortable, the bathrooms clean, It meat the needs for me who was in town visiting my family. The only other thing that I would have liked was for there to have been closed caption on the TV as I am severely hearing impaired and I felt that i was disturbing my neighbors when i listened to the TV.

The hotel was relatively close to my event, but very close to a major highway and traffic noise was a problem. The room smelled like animal and/or smoke. I was on the first floor and the noise from the people above me was very loud and annoying... like there was no sound barrier and thin floors. The a/c / heater was extremely old and loud, too. The TV was not working properly as well.

The proprietor was very helpful once I got there. I had trouble finding the place late at night. They need a bigger sign. They have a good breakfast.

The stay would had been great if ac system didn't turn off ever 5 min and if the WiFi work.and if the tv wasn't broken either

Air conditioning in the room was not working.

Window blinds were damaged and did not close. Shower leaked all over floor. Desk clerk was asleep upstairs when we checked in and when we checked out in the morning. Never even spoke to a person at check-out time.

Way to expensive for this motel. The front desk was locked and you had to call and wait just to get in a room. However the gentalmanin the front was very nice once he arrived.

The hotel was in an easy to find location but the overall structure was in dire need of updates. The room itself appeared to be well-furnished but the overwhelming smell of mildew was stifling. The room also lacked toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc) but fortunately, the desk attendant handed me a couple after I inquired about the situation. The bathroom was spacious but the shower door was broken and hanging from its hinges. Furthermore, the ceiling tiles had water stains throughout (most likely, the location of a leaking pipe and source of the mildew and mold). The room had a microwave and a fridge but alas, we had no desire to eat anything in the room given the mildew.

This hotel is cheap and nasty. The only benefit was our dog was allowed to stay. Some fixtures were updated like the sink and the shower but the headboard was missing and there were holes in the wall. The bed was hard with 2 hard flat pillows. There was no shampoo. There were big keep out signs on the hotel keepers quarters which made it seem even more sketchy. Stay at the other chain motel up the street which looks like luxery compared to this for only $10 more.

Even though it was a non-smoking room, the cigarette burns in the comforter and pervasive odor of cigarette smoke lead us to believe that was not the case. Our jackets stunk like an old ashtray after one night.

Have 2 small dogs and also needed a good price. Not the Hilton though appropriate for what we paid.

Stay far away. Shabby interior and exterior. Bad management.. Bad location.

The room was clean, but the heat did not work. When we asked the management to address it they said they would but did not. We asked for a roll away cot/bed for our son 2 nights in a row but did not obtain one. there was a bed spread but no blankets and w/ the heat not working we had to sleep in sweat pants and hooded sweat shirts. t

It is exactly what you think it is. A very basic, inexpensive place to sleep when you are not planning on spending a lot of time in your room. The room and the bathroom was clean. If you are spending time in the room this is not the place, The furnishings are there but old an look uncomfortable. Using the address supplied, an on line mapping program gave the wrong directions. The hotel is on 9W to the right of RT 299 not to the left as the on line mapping program indicated.

This place was good if you are looking to stay in a place for one night. Bed is comfortable and the room was spacious and recently renovated. I would not recommend s rating for more than one night. But it's inexpensive; you get exactly what you pay- for.

good deal for a spartan place,clean and upgraded, very good price.

After spending a day in NYC and moving my daughter in, I needed to rest before Hurricane Irene. I chose this place because it had an awesome price tag. What surprised me is that Neil, the manager or owner there upgraded us without charge to a clean, spacious room. Definitely a hidden jewel for those who want to stay closeby to Marist overnight.

Das Hotel war relativ Sauber. Das Zimmer sehr klein, aber das Bad war relativ neu renoviert. Es war für eine Nacht in der Durchfahrt und somit trotzdem ok. Ich würde keine Ferien dort verbringen.
