Hotel Cielo - פלאיה דל כרמן

The room, although quaint was too small for our family of four. My husband and I slept in a queensize bed proper, but our two teen daugheters shared an homemade 'pallett' which was topped with an air-mattress and foam topper, just inches from our bed. The huge shower was awesome, but the sink and mirror were too tiny. Steve was great, but the man at the check-in counter was rude. We were having problems understanding each other. My shy teen daughter whom has taken 4 years of spanish tried to help, but he just mocked her attempts. Also the beach towel deposit is debilitating! $80 for 4 towels! We could have bought towels for less than that! The resturaunt is awesome! Great view of the ocean! Great food! If you are a young party couple...I would def recommend this hotel! Familys, beware.

Just completed a 9 day stay at the Hotel Cielo and it was great. After a long day in the sun, you just want to relax and the beds here are perfect for it. You won't find a more comfortable bed in all of Playa Del Carmen and possibly in all of Mexico. The hotel staff was the best and the adjoining restaurant was terrific. The location is outstanding and close to everything. I would agree with the other reviewers that if you are looking for a luxurious, all-inclusive with all the frills and amenities, then this is not the place for you. But, if you want a clean room, GREAT bed and friendly staff, then give this place a try. It was perfect for us and we will definitely stay here again.

I would consider staying again or at least in a similar type place. If you are looking for a spa, pool, etc. then this is not the place for you. BUT if you want a place that is close to the main street and the beach and budget-friendly, then give this a go.

HORRIBLE! Air worked about half way. Miserably hot! Sheets were so rough and nubby you could not sleep! VERY disappointed !!

The room was a tad small but has everything we needed. The room was a bit loud if they forgot to close the doors to the restaurant next door. The staff was very nice and accomadating. The room was clean and the bed was soft. No frills and the bed was a bit small for two but close to everything you could want. The bus is very convinent walk about 2 blocks down the main street. Easy access to the beach too. Only a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

It's a nice place for a romantic getaway. Has a great rooftop hang out area. The beds are comfortable too. Some rooms need updating while others are quite nice. The views aren't that great from most rooms and there's no elevator but that adds to the coziness. The restaurant next door has really good and affordable food with many items that an American would find familiar for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The soap is nice but bring your own shampoo. The A/C units work pretty well but just be sure your room comes with one. The staff is very nice and helpful. The location of this hotel is really good.

Hotel Cielo is a perfect spot to stay if you are in PDC. The location is a block from the nice part of the public beach, next to stores/shopping, great food and late night food options right there; bet best part is that you are not by the loud clubs so you can get sleep when you want to. The staff was awesome and always helpful. They have someone at the front desk which is the gate to all the rooms 24 hours a day which made us feel very safe. We also got a chance to meet the owners who took incredible care of us. The restaurant next door is awesome - great breakfast, awesome tacos and killer margaritas. This place isn't flashy or expensive, so if that is what you are looking for go else where. But if you are cool with basic rooms, this is a great spot for a budget conscious traveler.

The service couldn't be better, location is superb. The only thing I'd add is a side table to the beds and more towels. I will stay here again, the rate is excellent and I loved the spanish charm - lovely tile floors, big shower, and they are adding a bar on the top floor that has an incredible view of the ocean. Couldn't ask for more!

Hotel Cielo is awesome. The location is great, the staff was nice and genuine, and the decor is beautiful. If you are the type of person that is uptight and like to stay in an all inclusive resorts, this might not be the place for you. However, if you like a laid back atmosphere, great food, and cool people then this is the place for you. Oh yeah, you get 50% off breakfast if you eat at their restaurant, the main strip is 20 feet away, and the beach is half a block away. You get the most bang for your buck at this hotel!!!!

We usually stay all inclusive, but decided to try Playa del Carmen without kids. We planned on scuba diving, shopping, relaxing, and taking some tours, so decided to give Hotel Cielo a shot. It was just what we needed. The location is GREAT! Walking distance to the bus depot, ferry dock to Cozumel, and all kinds of shopping! The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant nextdoor had great food and a reasonable price. We will definitely be back!

This is a very nice place. I was actualy surprised @ pleased the hotel has a lot of history. It is convently located in a quiet area. The restaurant located in the front is great breakfast was awsome! Muguil was who was at the front desk was very helpfull he showed me a # of rooms to choose from I choose room #17 it was just what I wanted. I will stay again and recommend to everyone!!! Thanks again!

This is a lovely hotel with great rooftop view. The rooms are very beautiful and clean. The resturant has great food and good servivce. The location was good although there was some road construction going on at the time but things like this cannot be helped. I would tell others to stay and I would also stay again myself. Great place

Located on the main tourist drag in Playa Del Carmen, Hotel Cielo is secure, very clean, affordable, and comfortable. Where it shined for us was the service. Miguel made our stay fantastic. He promptly addressing any maintenence issues. He gave great recommendations for activities and restaurants, and was extremely helpful in getting us low-cost rates on tours. Without his guidance we'd have wasted much time and money. 5th Ave in Playa can get noisy until about midnight. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper like myself, that made it a non-issue.

This hotel is in the right location but needs major remodeling. I can't begin to tell you all of the issues with the room. The concierge was very helpful and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The place seems to be undergoing some changes so it may be a better choice in the future.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The staff was all very polite and professional. Helped us with all the questions we had. Miguel and the owner Steve I think was his name was great. It is a great Mexican hotel and would definetely stay there again. You couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Was right in the center of everything. They also set us up with a tour we wanted to go on. Thanks for making our stay so enjoyable. We will be back to stay.

Very helpful staff, 1 bl from beach in bustling pedestrian zone. Very clean, comfortable rooms w great quiet air conditioning. Close to everything (restaurants, bars, beach, bus and ferry terminal) and good value.

i like pretty much everything about the hotel. we stay the balcony room and it is money well spend. avoid cheap rooms on the back. those are lack of lighting.

Rigtig godt budget hotel belliggende i hjertet af af Play Del Carmen. Personalet er meget hjælpsomme og der er kun 2 minutters gang til stranden. Hotellet tilbyder 50% rabat på morgenmad til hotellets gæster og der er gratis hurtig internetforbindelse i fællesområderne.

メインの５番街に隣接し，ビーチまですぐ．また ADO のバスターミナルやコスメル島行きのフェリー乗場にもかなり近い便利なところにあります．スタッフはとてもフレンドリーで，１階にある評判の良いメキシコ料理のレストランにも行きましたが実際とても美味しく，ホテルゲストには１０％の割引もありました．King Ocean View with Balcony というタイプの部屋に４泊しました．高級ホテルのようなラグジュアリーな部屋ではないですが，タラベラ焼が用いられている洗面台などこだわりを感じる部屋でした．バスタブが無くシャワーブースとトイレがほぼ一体化しているのが気になるかもしれません．シャワーの水圧と温度は問題無かったです．立て付けは若干悪く，扉がスッキリ開かない感じもしました．またバルコニーに面している扉に隙間があったので虫が入ってこないか心配でしたが全く大丈夫でした．清掃は行き届いており毎日気持ちよく過ごせました．バスタオルはビーチ用のものをいくらでも貸してもらえましたが，部屋で使うハンドタオルが無かったのが少し不便でした．

Me gustó el hotel porque apesar de estar muy bien ubicado a lado de la 5ta Av., es silencioso para descansar y está a solo unos pasos de la playa. El precio está bien y la atención es fabulosa.

Havde købt et værelse med udsigt til havet eller byen - fik et med "udsigt" til en mellemgang. De to vinduer var med matteret glas, så der var døgnet igennem behov for elektrisk lys. Lyset var dog så ringe, at det ikke var muligt at læse en bog. Sikkerhedsboksen var så lille, at den kun kunne indeholde en mobiltelefon og ikke en bærbar PC. I betragtning af at boksen ikke kunne låses kunne den alligevel ikke opfylde sit formål. Badeværelset havde ikke andet lys end det elektriske, hvis man trådte på bestemte gulvfliser slukkede lyset, og der var ufrivillig mørkeleg. Den håndholdte bruser sad særdeles godt fast på væggen og ville kræve en skruetrækker for at blive til en håndholdt model til gengæld var der altid masser af koldt vand. Så bliver badene heller ikke så lange. Den lovede aftæpning var hurtig overstået - der var nemlig ikke noget tæppe kun lagen, så tag et tæppe med hvis du er lidt kuldskær. Buksepressen var også forsvundet. Tag endeligt krølfrit tøj med - klædeskabet lugter fælt, men man kan jo bare lade være med at pakke ud. Hvis man kigger på billederne på hjemmesiden, ser det jo ud til, at hotellet har dejligt lyse værelser, så kan man jo bare håbe, at det er sådan et man blive indkvarteret på. Vi har ikke lyst til at lade vores ferie ødelægge af et ringe hotel og tjekkede ud før tid.
