The Mortal Man Inn - קאמבריה (מחוז)

Idyllic location was just what we wanted and our two night stay was perfect. The Mortal Man has fantastic views from the dining room and the bar areas are cosy with log fires. We booked a small double room (room 2) which was larger than expected - with full ensuite (bath and shower over). The bed was so comfy and the room had a lovely mountain view. The staff were fab and the service was really good. Multi choice at breakfast and the evening meals were excellent - top marks to the chef! Also, would definitely recommend the homemade mulled cider from the bar! Bar staff were great and we had a good laugh taking part in the 'pub quiz' on wedneday night. Could have stayed longer - definitely will return.

As we wanted to get away from it all the hotel was perfect - quiet location, comfortable clean rooms, great food, friendly staff and wonderful views across to Windermere. Many good walks from the hotel itself with staff happy to make suggestions (and there is a drying room for wet clothes if needed).

This was a great little inn in a stunning location with views of a valley and Lake Windermere in the distance. We stayed in the four-postered room which was beautifully furnished and great panoramic views, not to mention a jacuzzi bathtub! The food at the pub/restaurant was great. The only downside is they charge corkage to drink alcohol in your room, which we have never experienced in the past. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it.

Lovely location with stunning views.Staff very friendly and helpful, room spotless if somewhat dated,in particular the bathroom,very comfy beds. Good food freshly cooked and nice cosy bar.A very pleasant stay.

excellent rural retreat off the beaten track,very dog friendly.Caring staff nothing is any trouble food is locally sourced well cooked and served well.cosy log fires and stupendous views.Our room had mountain views and all mod cons.

The stay overall was very nice. The evening meal was second to none. Good pub food. The room we stayed in was reather dirty, lots of cobwebs in the room and also the bathroom. The shower wasnt very good so ended up having a bath at night and just coping with the shower on a morning. The water pressure wasnt very good at all. The staff were really friendly. Breakfast on a morning you had a good choice, but need to speed up a bit. overall though a very nice break.

We visit The Mortal Man about 2-3 times per year and every time we have visited have found it to be a fantastic lakeland retreat. I cannot praise the hotel nor the staff and management enough. The hotel is clean, the service spot on. The location is fantastic aswell, far enough away from the hussle and bussle of bowness and windermere but only 10 minutes by car.
